Sorry, but this kind of comment is not allowed. Please don’t repeat it.
Skin tone is sort of a tiebreaker though. If Occupy Wall Street had been slightly darker on average they would have been cleared out sooner, so maybe not too much of a difference. Perhaps. Don’t know.
But if Occupy Wall Street had stormed the Capitol, many of them would be dead by now no matter what they look like.
It’s not the Trump supporters who are the national security risk, it’s someone working for a foreign government using the crowd as cover to access government computers.
My work computer locks after 10 minutes; any time I’m away from my desk, I lock it myself (either with the keyboard shortcut or with a nifty little desktop shortcut I made so my former office partner couldn’t hear me hitting the keys). I’ve seen some sites speculating that the computers didn’t auto-lock because people fled the offices so shortly before the rioters got there.
I’ve never had to flee my office in fear for my life though, so I can’t blame them too much for not locking up.
To be fair, it’s really mainly one individual agitator.
Individual one.
When does Nuland bring out the cookies?
The BBC was showing live footage of multiple police officers engaged in fistfights with civilians.
Guy says he saw a woman go at a window of the chambers, which would explain the picture of broken glass and people taking positions behind furniture. Apparently she did not heed the calls of police and was shot in the neck, then fell back on this guy. Says he and other protesters were ushered out by riot police with sticks.
I wonder at what point the police decided not to shoot anyone else? Maybe they were still evacuating at that point.

He also said they were using flashbangs and tear gas to break into the building.
Maybe trying to prevent a stampede?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an accidental discharge. Not suggesting that makes it any better.
He said “we tore through the scaffolding, through flashbangs and teargas”.

I’m at DoD and I have to stick my CAC (ID) in the computer for it to work, and I have to have it on me at all times. Even working from home, I’m supposed to take the CAC out of the computer if I step away.
Considering the kid gloves treatment these people are getting, that’s almost certainly the case. In any case, I disagree that it’s a bad outcome.
I apologize if someone else has posted this, I can’t keep up.
Remember we have better technologies this days and I’m sure they’ll work from videos and social media to identify and arrest as many of these people as possible. They’d better and we can do it in two weeks if the Trump DOJ won’t.
They should’ve dragged away more of them at the time, but I will frequently watch a new story of a disturbance and wonder why they aren’t arresting certain people…then a week or so later I’ll read that they’ve been arrested.
Wow; that guy is really stupid.
I figured that was what happened.
In the house chamber, they had gotten everyone off the floor, but those who were in the gallery were stuck.
Capital police barricaded the doors and window and had to defend the chamber. Shooting did happen as the windows were broken by the insurgents. They were able to hold the chamber and get the members of Congress out of the gallery out safely.
Your optimism borders on delusion. Biden and other Democrats are already on the news trying to act diplomatic, trying to reach across the aisle. None of these people will suffer any real punishment, well except that one woman. A few may get fired from their job.
They belong in Gitmo. Won’t happen.
Facebook has removed the Individual 1 video. “This is an emergency situation and we are taking appropriate emergency measures, including removing President Trump’s video. We removed it because on balance we believe it contributes to rather than diminishes the risk of ongoing violence.”
