But, seriously, you say you are okay with them being arrested for a crime. Trespassing is a crime in and of itself. And then several more did more things. So even “arrest them if they committed any crime” requires the police to be there to shut the whole thing down and kick them out.
But they didn’t just attack a building. They attacked the electoral count, trying to stop it, and thus attacked the people contained within. People’s lives were in danger from this stunt.

And Pelosi consulted with the DoD, Homeland Security and Pence before issuing a statement regarding their intent to re-convene tonight.

Perhaps there is a president of senate / speaker of the house loophole for the capital building.

As I have seen noted elsewhere it doesn’t seem to occur to Trump that if the VP could actually do that then how is it Biden didn’t reject Trump in 2017?
It wouldn’t take hacking skills. It would take looking around for the one (or more) office/cubicle with a password written down nearby. I would be extremely surprised if there wasn’t at least one, probably multiple.
Pence has a role in the count. But Trump as commander in chief has a role in ordering the DC National Guard (as frightening as that is); Pence doesn’t.
