I would say that that’s quite a good argument, and that it seems unlikely that the intention was to make it impossible to certify an election if one specific building wasn’t available for the purpose.

It appears that Pence is the one who called out the DC National Guard. For once, his statements didn’t mention Trump.
Plus, Melania Trump’s chief of staff just resigned - because of the riot.

Trump is a text book example of a malignant narcissist. Narcissists, when faced with failure, generally dive deeper into their narcissism building ever more walls and lashing out even more aggressively to maintain and protect their self-image. They will never acknowledge their flaws. Introspection is not something they do.
So has Trump gone mad now or was he always mad and is just doubling-down?
