7 Jan 2021 and beyond - the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol

I wouldn’t believe he lasted 10 seconds let alone over two minutes.

Yeah, my first thought was “Brock Turner.”

Same.

“Hey, I only committed a crime for the half-second it took me to shoot someone!”

More subpoenas:

By that standard, shooting someone is barely a crime at all - bullets move very fast, so really, you’re only being a criminal for a fraction of a second.

So, what is going to happen when all these people refuse to comply with the subpoenas?

Nothing

They may be faced with a wagging finger.

Surely, the Democrats will not get that brazenly out of control! What of the norms?

Meanwhile, in Federal court:

Who knew that unitary executive meant a Democratic president would get executive privileges?

Who knew that when you stop being an executive, you lose your executive priviledges?

Things that make you go “hmmm”:

“a draft Executive Order on the topic of election integrity,”

So could be anything from some vague guidance to states to ensure election integrity to a declaration of Trump being King Emperor in perpetuity.

I read your post in a hurry and thought you were predicting that Trump wanted to become an Emperor penguin. :penguin:

We really need an LOL button.

Well, now I’m picturing Trump in a tuxedo and really…he’s like halfway there.

Wait wait wait! Apparently, this is a whole thing that I wasn’t aware of.

People are replacing pictures of Donald Trump with Penguins.

Enjoy your stay in the Bighouse, asshole!
“A New Jersey gym owner who punched a police officer during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was sentenced Wednesday to more than three years in prison, a likely benchmark for dozens of other rioters who engaged in violence that day.
Scott Fairlamb, 44, was the first person to be sentenced for assaulting a law enforcement officer during the Capitol riot. His 41-month prison term is the longest among 32 riot-related sentences handed down so far.”

PENGUINS WILL NOT REPLACE US!
