Yup. Sorry if I was a little obscure. It seemed like the sort of thing a MAGAT would fall for.
Yeah, real cute.
I wonder how quiet Jay Johnston’s’ career has been.
It would seem the public-facing efforts of DOJ’s investigation into the events of January 6th are ramping up. By a lot.

From the article:
According to one subpoena obtained by The New York Times, they asked for any records or communications from people who organized, spoke at or provided security for Mr. Trump’s rally at the Ellipse. They also requested information about any members of the executive and legislative branches who may have taken part in planning or executing the rally, or tried to “obstruct, influence, impede or delay” the certification of the presidential election.
(Emphasis mine.)
Sounds like some folks in Congress should be getting nervous.
I’m also glad to see names like Dan Scavino, Bernard Kerik and Boris Epshteyn among the newly-subpoenaed individuals.
Here’s CNN’s coverage of the DOJ’s latest barrage:
More good news:
Innnnnnnnnteresting!
There goes his Cabinet appointment…

About time, I’d say. What, were they trying to run out the clock?
Did he comply but just start repeating “I plead the 5th” over and over again?
Ornato retired. I’m wondering if that released some (internal) political floodgates.
Also, Biden is their boss, correct? He has a very keen grasp on wielding power, pretty sure his message of ‘comply or else’ got through to any and all in the USSS. Hence Ornato’s sudden desire to spend more time with his family.
He’s said that he plans to join the private sector. Maybe he’s aiming for Head of Security at Mar-a-Lago.
Pffft, like that’s a thing.
Paywalled. I assume it’s a story about that Chinese national who was lurking about MAL and arrested?
Oh, wait. From the URL, it looks like it was this story (ad walled, not paywalled):
Does he know that?
I agreed with DOJ that a special master shouldn’t be appointed. But now that one has been, I’m hopeful that this guy will do the job and do it well:
I wonder if anyone ever jokingly called him Blossom.
There’s this:
Cannon’s schedule means the review will end after the midterm congressional elections, essentially guaranteeing the Mar-a-Lago investigation will move slowly for the next two months, unless a higher court steps in.
Also,
Beyond Dearie, Trump’s legal team had suggested lawyer Paul Huck Jr., a former partner at the Jones Day law firm, as special master – a proposal the DOJ disagreed with, noting he “does not appear to have similar experience” to Dearie and two retired federal judges the department put forth.
Not just not having “similar experience,” but
Great interview. There’s a transcript at the link. Chilling stuff.
