It was “a perfect speech.”
Well, I can safely say I know who I would not hire to defend were I ever to be brought up on charges in Florida.
I wonder if this Rep will end up in prison
The Republicans are rallying around themselves. You might hear reports of internal strife but note how quickly they’re playing the unity-not-justice card. They will push everything back on the Democrats, and the next time the violence will be worse.
Can those assholes who refused to wear masks be charged with something?
Did the lectern stealer actually get it all the way home? I take it he doesn’t live in DC. Did he come on a bus? Put it in the bike rack?
I think I read that he actually ended up leaving it in the building somewhere, but I’m not sure if that’s really what happened.
I wondered about that. I also wonder if a theft charge can stick if he really just moved it to another part of the building, but I’m not a lawyer.
If it got so much as a scratch on it he’s gonna be sorry.
What happened to the laptop that was stolen from Nancy Pelosi’s office?
Well, Congress could take away his pension, Secret Service detail, and ban him from ever holding office again. That is way more than symbolic.
Yep, especially Cruz, that suppurating, oozing, asshole. He wants the MAGAs to p=make him the GOP nom in 2024, let us make sure that doesnt happen.
At least the 3rd Democratic lawmaker to test positive for Covid after sheltering with maskless Reputlicans.
I don’t know if this will be possible, but if Hawley and Cruz are considered to have incited the riots, they could be put on the no-fly list like the other rioters. I’m doubtful this will happen.
Got my answer here. There was one person at the protest at Twitter in SF. The police presence was intense for that one person. Shows the power of taking away social media.
I’ve read that the conditions inside the shelter were favorable to super-spread of COVID
The stories from the last few days about rioters placed being on the No-Fly List are, basically, wrong. Some of the douchebags have been denied boarding or booted off flights for various reasons, but none of that is related to the No-Fly List.
But I assume that the no-fly list is always a possibility for the future. I’m pretty sure that like driving licenses, there’s essentially no Constitutional protection here, right?
Take her down with an onion!
That’s probably true, although we might not know anyway, because I believe that the FBI’s official list is kept secret.
I was expecting atleast 140 chars… oh well, what a twit.
I agree with your post asahi, except. Strip away his 200k a year pension, his SS guards, his million a year travel allowance and office and staff that ex-presidents get. Impeached and convicted ex-presidents do not. The stupid, traitorous shit should have to pay for his own security and travel expenses. Not to mention own office and staff.
He should leave with nothing more than whatever towels he can stuff in his suitcase.
Oh and least I forget, if impeached and convicted he can never run for public office again. That would make his fake campaign fund/piggy bank a bit harder to get. Since his name is mud all over the world that looks like that’s going to be his only source of income.
I’m not a vindictive guy. But with this asshole, oh yeah.
Does the political will really exist to convinct him, though? It would be really nice, but the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, and Republican legislators have shown themselves, time and time again, to be cowards.
