Well, in the past they were probably ok. But now they’re places to groom children. Close them! Protect our kids from… from EVERYTHING!

Oath Keepers members found guilty of seditious conspiracy | CNN Politics
Oh, that is awesome. As they should be.
Evidence will out.
busy day in dc today, another verdict with a possible 20 year prison term for the man who was in pelosi’s office.
I want someone to ask these Oath Keepers to explain just what Oath they where keeping.
And tear into them like a Velociraptor.
Nice, but it’s their oath to the U.S. Constitution which they say they’re keeping. See the third paragraph here: Oath Keepers - Wikipedia
Sadly, that Onion article is from 2009, and is even more depressingly true now.
the proud boys trial moves on. a former member testified and is being cross examined by defendants’ lawyers.
turns out that the proud boys do not want jurors to see their super secret initiation ceremony manual.
federal government wants to show it to the jury, the defence believes it is too politically incorrect.
Proud Boys Don’t Want Jurors in Sedition Trial to See ‘How to’ Manual (businessinsider.com)
The manual seens to have a real major thing for breakfast cereal.
indeed. wear a fedora, non-collared shirt, cargo shorts, and flip flops, when eating your wheaties.
“Europe and Britain were not built on colonization.” Um, ever heard of the Romans?
this trial does have its moments.
from Alan Feuer (ny times)
Line of the day from the Proud Boys’ J6 sedition trial>>
Defense lawyer: When did your current devotion to God start?
Proud Boy cooperating witness: When I was sitting in a van with the FBI on my way to jail.
in today’s news from mr feuer:
New: Defendants in the Proud Boy’s’ J6 sedition case said on Wednesday that they intend to subpoena Donald Trump as a witness at the trial.
That hasn’t flown w/judges in other J6 cases so we’ll see where it goes.
My knowledge of the law comes from the Grisham and Connelly books that I read. So I’ll ask these questions: Why can’t a defendant subpoena Trump at his trial? How have the other judges stopped this from happening?
Or the Normans, Saxons, Jutes, Gauls, etc., etc.
judge rejected the request.
Well before the trial began, Mr. Thompson’s lawyer, Samuel H. Shamansky, made a bold request of the judge in the case, Reggie B. Walton, asking for permission to subpoena Mr. Trump as a witness. Judge Walton ultimately rejected the move, saying that hauling the former president into the courtroom would only have been a distraction.
this new request from the proud boys have paused the trial. from national zero:
DC Circuit Court Judge Timothy Kelly on Thursday paused the ongoing seditious conspiracy trial of the Proud Boys’ leadership to hold a hearing, Politico’s Kyle Cheney reports, while noting it comes a day after the Boys indicated they may try to subpoena former President Trump to testify.
Kelly scheduled the next day of the trial proceedings for Monday. It’s not clear what was supposed to happen on Friday, as in if it was already a day off or if Kelly is now blocking off two whole days to figure the (possible) Trump subpoena attempt out. We’re in the dark on the likelihood of success for such a move, as we have no prior example of the … snip… being subpoenaed to testify in a trial. Assuming the judge even allows the defendants to try it, the safe bet is that Trump would fight it all the way to the Supreme Court, taking months, probably even years, to resolve in the middle of a trial that was supposed to last weeks. That’s quite a lot of standing back and standing by.
That manual is something else. I thought I had the lowest opinion I could have for these dipshits, but after reading that, I found a new low.
it is stunning. i can see why they don’t want it in front of the jury. that is textbook prejudicial.
