Sure, but it bears repeating!!
I will say that the phrase, “he stormed the U.S Capitol with his wife”, is reminiscent of, “he stormed the bunker with his bayonet”. As if he used her as a battering ram.
The eyes! That blank, obedient stare!
I don’t have a sub to Rolling Stone, but this is the lead for a story that came up in my feed:
“Your honour, creating a militia willing to storm the Capitol is just following the noble example of our Patriot forefathers.”

The CBS report of the story (not paywalled):
…Rhodes, who graduated from Yale Law School…
Well, I didn’t know that.

If he’s smart enough to get into Yale, he should be smart enough to know better. Yeesh.
George W. Bush was a Yalie, so there’s that…
Not the law school, though.
Thanks. You just made my day.
We don’t talk about it.
Of the convicted insurrectionists, “I am inclined to pardon many of them,” Twitler says.
Man seen hanging from Senate balcony on Jan. 6 sentenced to 15 months - The Washington Post
14 months for mr colt, who dangled from the balcony of the senate.
Remind me, are they actually being prosecuted at state level or Federal?
Because POTUS doesn’t even have the power to pardon the state level ones.
Correct, but these were offenses committed in Washington, D.C., so they’re all Federal prosecutions.
FFS I fear that he will be POTUS again and will do exactly that - release all the inmates from the asylum. It’s going to be bloody awful.
And also, of course (and unrelated to this thread) he’ll solve the whole Russia/Ukraine thing by throwing Ukraine, NATO and the west under the bus. Apologies for the hijack.

He’ll probably make them his Cabinet.
Now I’ve got an image of the Penguin, the Joker, the Riddler, CatWoman and others sitting around the Cabinet table, freshly arrived from Arkham.
Just like a bit from the Adam West Batman series where the Penguin was running for mayor of Gotham City:
Penguin: I just want to tell you you’re not to worry about your job. See, I’m appointing the Riddler new Commissioner of Police, and he’s promised to give you back your old job pounding the beat on the waterfront… And you tell that Irish stooge of yours that his next job will be shining the shoes of the new police chief… (pause) the Joker!
" Tarrio, the former chair of the Proud Boys, was recently found guilty of seditious conspiracy in connection with the Capitol attack, along with other members of the far-right group. Tarrio was not in Washington on Jan. 6 after his arrest in connection with the burning of a Black Lives Matter banner, as he was banned from the city by a judge the day before the attack.
Shane Lamond, 47, was indicted on one count of obstruction of justice and three counts of making false statements, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said Friday. A federal grand jury charged Lamond with obstructing the investigation into the burning of the banner Dec. 12, 2020, when the Proud Boys were roaming the streets of Washington for a pro-Trump event.
Between July 2019 and January 2021, Tarrio and Lamond communicated “at least 500 times using cloud-based messaging services, including Google Voice, Apple iMessages, and Telegram, an encrypted messaging application,” the indictment said. They sent approximately 145 messages using a secret chat function on Telegram that causes messages to disappear, the indictment charged, adding “at least 101 of these messages were destroyed.”
