Yes; it certainly is:
Or if corporate sponsors weren’t bailing out as hard as they are.
Agreed, which is happening because Dems are not letting up, aggressively framing the insurrection for the violent coup attempt that it was and making any support of it completely toxic. Pushing hard for the 25th Amendment and impeachment is working.
This is a parody? An actual adult wrote this?
That is real and it shows what the Republican Party has become. This is the kind of stuff they’re going to be required to sign onto if they want to run for public office with an R after their names. Otherwise they don’t get the fundraising and logistical platforms. Keep in mind those platforms have probably been used in furtherance of a scheme to overthrow the government and may become a law enforcement target.
This is what happens to weak-willed people of low moral character. This is the Republican Party of 2021, like it or not.
Indeed. Also including those companies that process credit card payments. It looks like going forward, the Republicans may have to go door to door with a hat to get money from the rubes.
Mitch McConnell is reported to support impeachment.
I think convicting Trump could help the Republican party.

Wonder what will actually happen on January 23.
Thank you for posting that. I was wondering what silly things it said.
Now if people who insist on linking to paywalled articles would copy a paragraph or few to their posts…
Liz Cheney just announced she will vote to impeach.
I called Trump and his neo-Confederates insurrectionist allies a zombie virus so I think my position is clear
I think the real cause of the shift, if it’s really happening, is that more facts are coming to light. More video is coming out. More charges are being filed. And there fortunately seems to be growing awareness that what happened at the Capitol is part of an extremist movement that is really dangerous.
As real as the horns guy roaming around the Capitol.
I voted Republican in my first presidential election in 1996 up until 2012. In 2016 I decided I couldn’t hold my nose and vote for Trump in good conscience so I did something I never thought I’d do in a million years. I voted for Hillary. But I assumed that by 2020 the Republicans would gain some semblance of sanity and I’d be able to vote for them again.
At this point, I’d rather vote for a yellow dog than a Republican. I provide the party of insurrection with no assistance and will henceforth vote against them at every opportunity until and unless I’m satisfied that they have returned to some semblance of sanity. At this point I would be just fine with the dissolution of the party.
Edit: Couldn’t hold my nose and vote for him.
This is pretty much the same as me, but I did not vote for Mitt Romeny or Barack Obama in 2012. I did not vote for Bush in 2004, either. However, I grew up thinking the Republican party was a reasonable party. I disagree with them now, but feel like it was somewhat respectable to support them back then.
Now? Goodbye. Never again. Dissolve it. It’s done.
Voted Clinton in 2016 and obviously Biden this time. Will vote Harris or Biden in 2024, assuming one of them is the candidate.
And it seems that nobody has been able to pin anything on the shadowy Antifa, who were not present at the attempted insurrection/riot.
Charges against right wing crazy dudes with explosives and weapons are popping up… Any Republican care to try to convince us that this guy was a peaceful protester? Or that he’s really a secret lefty?
Go ahead Republicans. Call this guy a “Patriot”. Throw all of your support behind him and his plans.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries: Donald Trump Jr is under investigation
Yeah, you did. I saw your posts in another thread and they were excellent.
I didn’t have my scorecard with me when I was writing that post, so the caveat was to cover my bases.
The hijack of the GOP and RNC structure is going to be a problem for non-crazy Republicans, though
Well, according to the resolution, it happened a year ago…
