At some point, we have to go through the horrible period of actual conflict. It’s happening now and all we can do is postpone the inevitable. Why wait until they are further emboldened, better organized and supported? We’ve appeased and waited too long already.
I’m not saying we should unnecessarily provoke. But people must recognize, we’re already in the midst of this and there is no way forward except through the chaos. We can’t let their threats deter us from doing what is right and just for the country – no matter the consequences.
You don’t want to give them anything to talk about except Trump’s sedition. Don’t give them a whiff of something where they can come across as the ones in the right to people teetering on the edge. Make it all Trump, all sedition.

It’s Schroedinger’s terrorism: If they can get enough people on board then sure they’ll attack. But if they can’t, then obviously it was only impassioned hyperbole about political opposition that was never meant to be taken literally as a call for violence, and how dare any divisive liberals suggest that they might have considered any actions contrary to law and order.
Schroedinger’s terrorism has been the hallmark of Donald Trump’s approach and of Trumpist Republicanism all along. Whether or not they really mean to advocate lawlessness depends on whether they think they’ll get away with it.

There isn’t enough yet to know how to interpret this.
This is one of the hundred little details that would be easy to speculate irresponsibly about. Personally, I’m making a mental note on this and similar items to watch for more information, but withholding any further conclusions.
