“Such media appearances are undoubtedly conducive to defense counsel’s fame. But they are not at all conducive to an argument that the only way defense counsel could privately communicate with his client is if defendant were temporarily released,” Senior Judge Royce Lamberth , a Ronald Reagan appointee, wrote in a scathing 32-page opinion. “Given defense counsel’s decision to use what could have been a confidential videoconference on a media publicity stunt, that argument is so frivolous as to insult the court’s intelligence.”

If the judge tells a lawyer he is insulting the intelligence of the court, is that bad? Asking for a friend, need answer fast.

Besides the technical definition, “IQ” is a common colloquialism for “smartness”
So IQ Anonymous would be for folks wanting to break away from their smartness. However much they may have now, IQAnon is dedicated to the idea that less is better.

I’ve read a few things about the reasons/excuses for the insufficient security, but has anyone seen any info regarding the few capitol police who appeared to have moved barriers aside or otherwise been inappropriately “friendly” towards the insurrectionists?

The severance motion is not frivolous. The venue motion certainly is. If a judge accepted that argument (DC Jurors are liberal democrats and a bunch of “cancel culture” nonsense), then none of the January 6 defendants could be tried in the district where they allegedly committed their crimes.
