Very interesting, Soapy. And sort of appropriate nickname, too.
I’m feeling better now. Just woke up from a nap. Although, I’m kinda hungry. Guess I’ll go poke around in the kitchen and see what I can find.

OH…MY…GOD… I have thrown my back out. I threw it out while trying to get up from the toilet.o:o:smack::smack::smack::(
Who the fuck does something this stupid?! Me…that’s who.
This made taking a shower and getting dressed a completely painful ordeal. I then had to walk downstairs. Every step was murder. I’ve taken some Tylenol in hopes it helps, but ye gods, I hurt.
My husband had to help sit down in my chair here. I’m dreading having to go to the bathroom.
Oh, my, Taters! That’s terrible. But it seems like people throw their backs out doing all kinds of things, so don’t feel bad about the how.
I love the soda story, Soapy.
Have organized some more and shredded more.
Should eat lunch; I’m thinking I might head out to the neighborhood “Taste of…” that starts in 15 minutes. I imagine the food will be good. Getting out will do me some good, I think.
Back later.

Shig - it’s not just our Mondays - our whole weeks are that mundane - except for the occasional drama in someone’s personal life, or “The Adventures of VBob”. We just like to keep all this mundaety in one place.
I didn’t say (or mean to imply) that anyone was mundane. If anything, I was saying that my life is completely unproductive right now, and therefore I read six pages of other people’s days… people with spouses, and jobs, and alarm clocks.
And small children,
Well, I have a small child.
Lord, I’m tired. No idea why. Well, Nat’s got another cold and I was up for two or three hours, but I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of today sleeping. And having really weird dreams.
Attacks Things Husband is off to a wedding this evening, and we’re going to slouch around slowly until bedtime, and then collapse. Very exciting.
mmmmmmm leftover lasagna followed by homemade punkin pie. Yummerrific!
I stitched up the ends of daughter’s “veil” and started another helmet liner. And ironed 3 shirts for my sweetie. But mostly, I’ve been a bum. In a sweatshirt - it’s a tad chilly in here.
**Shig **- whether you meant to imply it or not, most of what we post here is pretty mundane. But it’s our mundanity, which makes it special. And I think my sig says it all.
I for one am proud of my mudanity. I like to sometimes be banal as well. Good times!
Oh, and I did NOT have all those teens at my house. It was at a friend’s house, but I have to say that it was the darkest house I’ve ever been in (and I go around turning lights off all the time!). They are going to redo their floors soon, so most of the furniture was out of the room, but we ended up in the room with the pool table, just for the overhead lighting. Not exactly Homecoming ambience, but at least we could SEE the kids.
#1 son got home at 0200. He had a really nice time. They went to a different house after the dance ended (midnight) and then he took his GF friend home.
I have been quasi-productive today, considering I woke up at 0800, read in bed for an hour and then went back to sleep until 11. I foraged for food; puttered in the yard for a bit, made pan choc chip cookies and now the roast beast is in the oven. Yorkshire pudding to be made as well. I wish I had a purple volcano in my kitchen, though.
Well, TVMan is napping. I joined him for awhile but my leg started jumping and by the time I got up, came downstairs and took a pill, and went back up to bed, he would have been wide awake from all my tromping around. So, I came back downstairs and am going to answer some emails and then look for something to watch on Netflix until he wakes up.
I worked, then I prebowled for Wednesday, since that’s Booster club Board night. I bowled a 102, my personal best.
Welcome, Shig!
Great story, Soapy. I guess the scientist version of “Hey, y’all, watch this!” is “Let’s test this hypothesis.”
LiLI, you’re not having “killing dogbutler” dreams like FCM has are you?
Howdy Y’all! I’m postin’ from mom’s 'puter. I have been churched, fed, napped, fed again and just came from sis’s place where her cat who hates everybody but sis, my niece and bil, jumped up in my lap and allowed me to pet her. I suppose I should feel honored.
soapy, cool story. I love a good explosive kitchen tale.
I am mundane, pointless and proud of it!
Taters sorry about the car woes and the thrown out back. Hope all is well soon.
Everybody else, yay, boo, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, how you doin’s as needed.
See Y’all tomorrow!
Why, thank-you!
Ooh, swampy, it is a huge compliment if a cat that doesn’t like people likes you. When she was very elderly, as in about 20, the cat my mom partly grew up with liked me. She didn’t like children (as in I was about six when she died) , but Princess liked me. I still feel honored.
Ooh, it’s snowing again. It must be getting colder. There’s not much here at my house but we got about an inch or so at work, though it was melting once it fell since it was above freezing. Oh well. Real snowfall will be here soon enough, I’ll take a temporary one for now.
Of course, I’ll tell my tale tomorrow. Hopefully it’s mundane enough for Shig.
MMPers live lives of mundanity with occasional moments of excitement, good or bad.
Poor Shig. Everyone picking on you. Wanna grape soda?
We haven’t even brought out the goat and squid yet for him/her. :smack:
or asked for the traditional offerings of chocolate and beer
FTR I wasn’t picking on Shig, I was just pointing out that mundaety (I like that word, even though it is made up) is a daily occurence - not limited to Mondays
BTW - It’s gotta be Monday in Merry Ol’ England. Where is the new MMP??
I vote we rename Monday, Mondaety. It fits.
I need to go to sleep but have ANOTHER horrid sinus headache. I have taken major drugs and are waiting for them to kick in. Maybe I’ll do what all the other commuters do and sleep on the train tomorrow.
