A belated MMP

Do they fly all the time, or do they land sometimes?
The problem was that I didn’t have a Layouts tab, I had the old edition blog, so I was hunting around trying to find the damn features on a model that didn’t have any features. Bloody. Now I have both the Mumpers’ food blog and Muppet’s nicely linked. Hah.
Seriously thinking about Death Chicken this week. But I’ll have to buy groceries. I wasn’t going to buy groceries.

Ponder.

Yay, you’re okay, Rebo! Apparently there’s over 4 million other folks in your area who haven’t got power yet, so ya done good to get it back so quickly. Looks like there was a lot of damage and flooding around the area – there’s a real mess out there. Stay safe! And don’t do like some idiots and wander down to take photos of the damage and get in the way of the first responders. :rolleye:

Cute pics, everybody – Nelly looks like she’s having a great time sniffing around everywhere, and HRH continues to become ever more cute and gorgeous and adorable. I trust you have a harem to lock her up in when she gets older? Between the gorgeous dark eyes and that curly hair, she is just beyond darling!

If your cinnamon buns are even half as good as my MIL’s, LiLi, I’m moving in with you!

A flying pig and cow, Soapy? Am I missing something here? :dubious:

Okay, off to eat yummy food from the Amish market and then do something constructive.

Only the best people bring back flying mammals from UK. (there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say).

#1 son now has the car, so we’re now stuck at home. I hate when options get narrowed, don’t you? Then again, I think it’s nap time for me.

How did hubby sneak a flyin’ pig and cow past customs? :stuck_out_tongue:

Rebo must be doin’ ok. She posted a new feud a little while ago. It’s fun! It’s all about games.

I got nuttin’ else right now.

“This isn’t a flying cow, sir. It’s a birthmark. Of mine.”

Cow: Mooooo! (flap flap flap!)
“And that other thing’s my spare luggage. Pretty cool animatronics these days, don’t you think? Plus, I don’t have to carry it!”

Okay, I think I should eat something that contains nutrients. My brain is missing.

Oh, heavens no, I was schooled here.

Looks like Nelly likes to do the same thing Zelda does near water: go right up to it and have a drink. “No you can’t walk past it, that’s water! Not in a bowl water! Must…drink…whaddya mean I have muddy paws? :(”

I’ve spent the day cleaning up. Car, room, hallway, took the trash out, cleaned one of the trash cans out (I wish WOWCrack wouldn’t chew terbaccy). All I have left to do is pick up the fallen sticks, toss them in the firepit, and wash the Zeldadog.

Soapy, what kind of flying pig and cow? I have a pair of ceramic ones that used to hang in my kitchen. Now they live in my closet.

I got nuttin’ to add, just wanted to show off my shiny new sigline courtesy of ReallyNotAllThatBright. It just sums up the college experience so well!

Heh…funny sig, swampy.

And cute pictures, doggio and Dotty (did I forget anyone? I know I looked at all of them).

Went out to look for a couple items at the local second-hand stores and ran into friends. We wound up going to lunch together, which was fun. Giggled a lot, which was good. Now I’m tired and deciding whether I should go out and mow or continue painting. Guess I should check the weather before deciding, since it looks quite clear, but might be going to rain before I finish painting.

There was more, but apparently I’m not really alert today…

Hugs.

Death Chikkies in da oven. Ima gonna find out if it needs to go in the overrated thread.

Hey, gt, I mentioned this before but you may have missed it – PM or email me with your snail mail address if you want me to forward on the Indian music CDs from Meeks, okay?

Otherwise, it’s a boring and quiet day around here. The Idiots went out and ran early, so are spending the day sacked out. Works for me!

This, I did not know!

Home, showered, fed, resting. The craft show sucked. Very little foot traffic. I sold 3 pieces, one from the $2-get-rid-of-this-crap box. I didn’t even make enough to cover the space rental, let alone any profits to donate to the women’s shelter. Plus it was hotter’n Hades - I bet it topped 90, with hardly any breeze.

So, Papa John made supper, and I just put the leftovers away. Daughter and her friend are going to Arundel Mills to wander around and go to a movie. SIL is going to Alexandria to hang with is geeky gamer friends. **FCD **and I are crashed for the night.

One good thing that came out of the show - we found out the Mexican restaurant in Leonardtown does breakfast. YAY! Ever since Linda’s closed down, we had limited breakfast options. Now we have another. YAY!

I’ve got a little half-n-half left over - I’m thinking a nice toasted almond tonight to help me relax and sleep. Oh yeah…

I came over when I was four. Already speaking Hindi, so I had to learn English here, but I spent all of my schooling years here. I visited back four times, and still speak the language, so yeah, occasionally if I’m really really confused i’ll blurt out something in Hindi or once in a while even swear in Hindi.

Just PM’d you, MamaT. Also friended you while I was thinking about it. (How did these words become verbs?)

Sorry to hear the craft fair was sucky, FCM. Have you thought about opening up a shop on etsy? Seems like less hassle.

Put one more coat on the woodwork. It’s still too light. I’m going to see if it gets any darker as it cures, but I think it’s going to get one more coat of darker. Because I just held up one of my pillowcases up to it and it really doesn’t work. Definitely not neutral enough.

Now I’m going for a walk.

And then probably more paint prep and maybe a coat of primer on part of the baseboards. Also, some destickifier (is too a word) on one side of the room where there are a couple of spots of carpet tape residue.

I live an exciting life, don’t I?

GT

We had pancakes and burly butcher bacon for supper. I had a sudden urge for buttermilk pancakes. Go figure.

It seems that the AC picked today of all days to die. :frowning:

Ugh. Who knows when I can get a repairman out to fix it. I’m hot and sweaty just sitting here.

Hello everyone.

Glad that you’re safe, Rebo, but sorry about the a/c. :frowning:

Taters, keep a close watch out for teeny tiny snails in your new aquarium. The last time that we bought live plants they were infested with snails which quickly multiplied and took over.

Not too much going on here. TVMan and I just woke up from a nap. Later on we’re going to the grocery store where perhaps I will buy the ingredients for Death Chicken.

Hi** doggio**!!

Just finished watching HP 5 with #2 son. It has rained another inch and half here. I am manning the pump, prn (as needed). I made mix brownies and we had popcorn–it’s junk food night here!
More rain coming tomorrow. Or as TH said (over the phone–he’s at a conference), “You’ll get six inches tomorrow.” There was this long pause and then I said, “really?” and we both cracked up. Too bad those moment are few and far between…
No idea how to spend my evening–the whole house feels like a damp rag. Ugh.

The guy across the street is an A/C guy! He fixed it!
