A Bowl Full of Paper Clips. The Hold It Together MMP

No kitty. :frowning:

But my kids are back from camp, which is so nice. The news hit the kids pretty hard, poor kiddos.

That can’t be a Paula Dean recipe. There’s only one stick of butter!
BTW, Paula’s recipe for peach cobbler is also teh num!

I actually contributed that recipe to the blog. I got it from Faraway Best Friend’s Nana, so it’s called Nana’s Pineapple and Cheese. I’ve added a note and a link to Paula Deen’s recipe (which is exactly the same as Nana’s, just doubled). I usually use a bit less sugar, too and a bit less butter.

We spent a couple of hours in the garden and then went for a walk. Also, I went shoe shopping, since most of my summer shoes are worn out. Came home with four pairs that will take me into fall.

Did three or four loads of laundry (I lost count). I have two to go…tomorrow night.

Finishing putting away clothes, then it’s off to sleepy bye.

I’ll see everyone in the next MMP.

Hugs.

I’ve made Paula Deen’s recipe for peach cobbler two or three times. It’s incredible! I use two bags of frozen peaches, and a half stick of butter. Good stuff!

I just saw a commercial for a new show on Food Network. Pioneer Woman! She’s got a show starting August 27th. Yay for Ree Drummond! How cool is that?

See ya’ll tomorrow. Thanks for starting us, JanC0!

Wow, such a long day…

I was up at 3:45, after last looking at my alarm clock at 2:00 in the morning. We were out the door a little after five, stopped for breakfast, and on the road to the other side of the state by around 6:15.

We made it to Pullman about 11:30, fought the hordes for a parking spot at the University, and with the help of one of son’s friends (who is also attending WSU), unloaded the rig and took all the stuff to my son’s dorm room.

We could tell he was ready to explore and have some fun with his friend, so we said our good-byes and left. I didn’t cry. You should be proud of me. I thought I’d be a mess, but I wasn’t.

I had to laugh because as we were leaving my son’s room, he noticed the room across the hall from him is assigned to a girl. You should have seen the high-fiving between him, his friend and my husband.

He texted me during my drive back stating that he had already changed his shirt because he refused to “look like a freshman”. This morning when we left, he had put on one of his WSU t-shirts.
I have read, but haven’t been able retain much. I’m tired. I think I’m going to veg and probably, maybe, hopefully, fall asleep.

Shiny new MMP
