I just found out - a dear friend passed away this evening of a sudden massive heart attack. Please keep her husband and all her friends and family in your thoughts
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 98. I did not mow yestiddy due to what I can only conclude as inherited sorriness. I must do so today. ICK!
{{{Soapy}}} hope your cat turns up soon.
{{{Spaz}}} I’ll keep grandma in my thoughts and prayers.
**{{{Rosie}}}**your friend, her family and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Yay for new specs and groceries Taters!
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Firday Y’all!
Me, too. **Rosie **said it first, and gets {{{{{Rosie}}}}} of her own.
Blurf. It’s Firday, and not only am I at the office, but I irk a full day. Won’t anyone think of The Chilldrunnnnnnnnn?
I could say I slept in until 6, but that’s only because Taz the Evul woke me up around 3:30 walking back and forth across my chest. Eleven pounds is awfully heavy when concentrated on little foot pads. Stoopit cat! **FCD **has a Dr appt this morning and he asked me to tidy our living area, so I probably won’t be doing a lot in the basement today. Which is fine - the upstairs is a bit of a disaster area…
I dreamed last night that we were getting 2 pugs. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I think that’s more of a nightmare. Seriously.
I have no diet coke in the house, so I think I’ll run down to WaWa and get my caffeine fix and a breakfast sammich. Which means I should probably put some clothes on. I’m not retired enough to go to a convenience store in robe and slippers… not yet, anyway.
Hugs to all who need them - hang in there.
Taters, progressive transitions ROCK!!! If you’ve never had progressives before, be prepared to be a little dizzy till you get used to them. I found that because the sides of the lens isn’t ground, I’d lose sharp peripheral vision and till I got accustomed to it, it would mess with my equilibrium. But once I got used to it, I loved 'em. Weirdly, when I don’t have my glasses on and I’m trying to focus on something small, I find myself lifting my head to look thru the bottom of the lens that isn’t there.
OK, need for caffeine is great. I’m going to grab some clothes and go. Incidentally, it got down to 64° last night - glorious sleeping!! The house is still wide open. I’ll put off closing it till the last possible second…
Hi Dotty! Hope you had a great day!
Wow, that sounds rather tacky, lieu, not to mention unethical, at the least.
It’s Firday!!! So happy cuz it’s been a really long week.
Hugs!

Back and caffeinating. aaaaaaaaaahh!
I may actually *dust *today! It could be a sign of endtimes. Beware!!
No kitty this morning. I don’t feel good about this. This is a stay-close-home-and-snuggle-mom-cat.
I am heartbroken. My daughter comes home from camp Sunday. She will be crushed.
**Soapy **- so sorry. We have constant struggle to keep Taz in the house. I just know if he got out, we’d never see him again. In fact, one day I was sure he’d slipped out - I couldn’t find him anywhere, and naturally, he didn’t come when I called. A few hours later, he casually sauntered by… idiot cat. Anyway, hope your kitty shows back up.
{{{Soapy}}} again. Maybe kitty will decide to remember the source of food and skritches.
Irk is, well irk. The phones are actin’ up. I am up to my hiney in paper irk. It’s hawt outside too! I walked outside, turned around and came back in. GASP I wish this meant a storm front is on the way.
I survived dusting. I even broke out the Old English scratch cover and hid the evidence of kittehs trying to destroy the hutch. And I swept the kitchen floor. I really should mop it - but I need to leave some fun for next week.
I also cleaned up a bowl of pennies that Ziva dumped all over the bedroom floor. I’m guessing she was attempting to get into my closet by launching herself off the bowl of pennies on FCD’s dresser. She failed. Fortunately, pennies on a carpet are easy to scoop up.
The house is still open, but I expect I’ll have to close it soon. It’s supposed to reach upper 80s today, and once it hits 76 inside, that’s it. Maybe another hour?
Now it’s break time - resting up till I have to make lunch. I need to take this retirement thing more seriously…

**
{{{Soapy}}}**. I hope she’s found soon.
FCM, my current glasses are progressives; I’ve just never had the transition lenses before. I had no issues getting used to them when I got them. I guess I was lucky. The eye doc was trying to talk me into getting glasses to use just for the computer, but I didn’t want to pay for two pair of glasses. Yes, I’m cheap. I may opt to get the lenses, and put them in my old frames later. We’ll see. For now, I’ll just take my glasses off when I use a computer.
I have some errands to run today and I hope to get some tidying/cleaning done around here.
I’m hongry! It ain’t lunch time yet however. Life is so unfair! I have a tamale, refried beans and rice for N.O.L.. Fortunately for my co-irkers I will be out and about this afternoon makin’ home visits. Maybe I can confine the ensuin’ fart fest to when I’m actually travelin’. Fun times await!
{{{soapy}}} My kids are putting out “go home” waves towards your kitty!
I left irk at four, came home, through some chikin strips on the grill and made a sallit. That was dindin and it was good! Now I sit chillin’ for a bit and then Ima go mow da yahd. I must mow. I shall mow.
I was just being geeky and looking at some of the technical specs on the MRI unit I was in yesterday.
Good thing we’re close to so many big nuclear plants. The scanner sucks down about 1,400 amps when running. Apparently, a significant part of the cost for a scan is the electricity. If I did the math right, my scan took $150 or so in juice.
The scanner is insanely heavy as well - 145.5 tons. I like the manufacturer’s notation that the thing is assembled in pieces on-site. Otherwise, that would be a hell of a box!
Yeah, Type 2. She also, according to my dad’s daily email update, still has her foot today. She’s very stubborn; mules are weak-willed compared to her. Tomorrow my uncle’s going to wield his power of attorney so they can do the surgery.

Culinary Boy has finally spiralled into the depression that’s been threatening since he got attacked last October. He’s trying to get into a treatment center, but they never have any open space. Fingers crossed that tomorrow’s the day he gets in because he really needs it.
Sorry about your loss, rosie.
Spaz I wish your Granma has a speedy recovery.
IvoryTowerDenizen may the kitteh return soon!
To put a nice end on a heinous week, I ordered in from my favorite pizza place. Pepperoni & extra cheese, washed down with my last 7-Up. Few things go better with pizza than 7-Up!
Now the pizza has sunk low and I think I need to go take a nap. TGIF, all!
