Cars just seem to know when you have extra money. As do grown kids.
I’m looking forward to the Renaissance this Saturday. It will be my birthday outing. My husband is so silly! He’s been singing Happy Birthday to my voicemail every day. I love him.
Purple and black are my default colors, but cherry-red does make sense. Now I’m imagining those thigh-high vinyl numbers from the '60s. I’m not sure I could still pull that off.
{{{Ellen}}} prayers and good thoughts headed your way from south Jawja.
It rained durin’ the night and has off and on all day so far. YAY! We need rain. Of course the rain will make the grass grow and in about a week it’ll need mowin’ but such is life. Yes, mow in November. Heck, I’ve been known to mow in December!
Most importantly, prayers and good thoughts are being sent your way.
Second: NS said he was almost 47. I’ll be 47 next June - graduated HS in 82. Went to Campbellsville University, except it was a College back then. I’ve lived in Lexington and Louisville as well.
Today is the last of our warm. It’s supposed to drop to the 30s tonight. Mixed feelings - 80 was too hot, but getting below about 45… meh.

Poke tenderloin for supper - it’s in the rotisserie waiting to be turned on. Plus fried up N.O.T.-n-onions, and maybe some carrots? That’s all I’ve planned for today. I need to veg.
A certain feline decided he wanted to play at 3 this morning. Apparently “Fling Kitteh Across the Room” was a fun game for him. It was after 4 before I dozed off again, but I get up at 5. So I’s tahred. Stoopit cat.
**FCD **is taking tomorrow off. Not me, tho. Most of today was wasted at work. First when we got in, the network was dead - apparently the air handler for the server room died and it wasn’t back up and running till about 9:30. Then at 11:30, we did a retirement thing for one of the old guys at work, followed by cake. By that time, who wanted to work?? Plus the one program I needed was still kerflooey. Not a good day.
But it brings me one day closer to Jon Stewart, my secret boyfriend, after Mark Harmon.
Time to feed the doggies and start supper. So you kids better behave yourselfs while I’m busy.
URF! We went to the [del]hog trough[/del] all you can eat buffet place for dindin. I should not ever eat a fried poke chop and a buncha fried chicken livers. Tummy is in revolt. URF!
I got 3rd place in the costume contest. $20 Target gift card, which more than pays for my costume. Plus, a co-worker’s dog decided to turn up his nose at Nutro Venison and Brown Rice dog food. She gave me 3 30lb bags, which normally cost about $46 each. Score!
