I gave a 10" to my mother a few years back and in one of my last visits she told me “the tablet, it is coming apart!” “coming apart? 
” “yes, at the seams! They are all broken!” Oooooooh, ok! She hadn’t realized the blue part was a removable case. So I took her to a big box store and we got matching purple cases for the tablet and her cellphone. “So… many… cases… oooh that one’s pretty!”
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Half day today, and off tomorrow.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 88 and sunny for the day. Way too warm for this time of year! The <snerk> BUTT! <snerk> is in the slow cooker doin’ it’s thing. I need to make up the baked beans this mornin’ so they can set and mellow for a while. This afternoon will be about cookage of stuff all ready to be cooked. That is pretty much the plan for the day. Company will arrive around five for drinks and then we shall feast. With any luck we’ll be rid of everybody by around eight this evenin’.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purftify and get busy. Rah.

Blurf. I have a sinus headache. Went to sleep with and woke up with it.
I will head out around 12:30 as I still have to go downtown to hang my signs on the post at the pick up/drop off point and get signs on all the buses so folks get on the correct bus as we are running from two bases. I have to get money together so my drivers can make change as we charge $3 each way for rides. This is very cheap as parking can run as much as $100. Plus designated driver. This is my 13th year doing this shuttle. In that period of time we have shuttled over 10,000 people and no telling how many careers we may have saved as well as lives. It is a good thing we do. Can’t have our sailors in jail for drunk driving.
We run until 2 am so I won’t get home until after 3 am. Then I shall probably sleep most of Sunday.
Monday, I’m going to call the time coordinator to find out a) exactly what I need to be able to go back to work, with or without accommodation. I’m thinking that the issue is that the surgeon wrote the return-to-work note with no restrictions, because I didn’t know what I would be doing, as opposed to “no lifting over x lbs., no standing over x hours, etc.” B) is to find out if i can use donated leave. Never hurts to ask.

It’s a chilly 45 degrees and N.O.S. outside. It’s going to go up to 78 later today, so I’ll open the windows and air the place out a bit.
Today is cat! you’re gonna die day. He woke me up making noise as he was trying to attack one of my patchouli plants. He got my arm when he tried to use the couch as a scratching post. He hissed at the dog. Then he begged and begged me to keep rubbing his belly, and after luring me into thinking this is a cat who actually lets you rub his belly, he reverted to typical cat behavior.
All that before 9am.
The cat is also a slacker. :dubious:
Howdy Y’all! Been a kinda lazy day here at da cave. We went to town this mornin’, got some MickeyD’s for N.O.L. and I’ve had a nap. The ‘que is done and stayin’ warm in the slow cooler. The stuff to be cooked is room tempin’ on the kitchen counter. We’re pretty much all set to entertain. Partay On!

A friend’s brother and sil are here to visit him as they make their way from Ohio down to Flahrduh for the Winter. So this is a chance to visit with them while they are here. They will wander on down to Miami on Moanday.

I got up this morning & went to go get in the shower forgetting that I hit it with Bubbing Scrubbles[sup]®[/sup] yestidy. Bubbing Scrubbles[sup]®[/sup] make the tub slippery until scrubbed out & I wasn’t about to do that at 4:45 this morn. (Both the shower & I are now clean.) Got dressed for the then temperature, which was 40° less than what the high would be at a more reasonable hour. Started the day in a short sleeve t-shirt, a L/S running top, a L/S fleece, a hoodie & a jacket. When I went out this afternoon I was only wearing the t-shirt.
We had a couple as passengers this morning. Not only did he make her cry, but she was no longer his girlfriend by the end of the flight…all because he gave her a glittery, compressed hunk o’ coal at 1000’.
We have feasted. Company is gone and the dishwasher is dishwashin’ as I post. I love company both comin’ and goin’. Now it’s chill time and maybe beddy bye time soon.
sari, hate to tell you, but Puddy Tat is just behaving in typical catlike fashion.
I went out on the bike today and figured out the back way home from irk. It will definitely beats spending 30 minutes in traffic just to get the first half mile on slightly early Fridays.
Yes he is. He was on his best behavior, now the true kitty is making himself known.

We had McD’s for lunch, or rather I did. He had taco hell. He is upset, that he got an 88 on his math exam. The grade can go up, the professor looks at the exams and will adjust the grade.
Home. Coached my soccer team at a 9am game (was so nervous I was there by 8) and we won 5-3 in a bit of an upset. Hung around the house for a couple of hours and then coached again at 2PM (tournament) and what the heck, we won again (4-2) and are in the Championship game tomorrow afternoon!!! Wish I could say it was my brilliant coaching, but the boys did all the work.
So of course after this (did I mention it reached a high of 85F today?) I went and refereed a game at 4:30pm. So I am a bit Norse God On Wheels (Thor and Tired).
Looks like I referee at 1PM Sunday and coach at 3PM, so we’ll see how that goes.
To all I haven’t replied too; normal service will be resumed after this )(_^^&(* tournament is completed.
So when I came home, Alex Catt was sacked out on my bed. Considering she will leave roomie, and come to me when I call, I might owe somebody a adoption fee refund.

It hit 75 today! Tomorrow is supposed to get to the upper 60s. You know, AlGore may have been on to something. Naaaaaah.
Left the house this AM and ended up in the middle of a police action/search for someone who shot a couple folks a couple blocks away. This has always been a tougher neighborhood but these days its getting downright silly.
Did some shopping for costume supplies for Santarchy. My plan right now if to modify my bumper car costume and go as North Pole Stig. That may require drinking beer and whiskey through a straw but in the interest of a good time I can do it.
Bingo was fun but ran late and we skipped Cover Your Ass and bailed right after the 50/50. Didn’t win – it hit $2k+ in pay-out.
