Six free hours on my time card this week - YAY!! Even tho I don’t normally work on Firdays, it’s a holiday this week, and as a part-timer, I’m entitled to 6 holiday hours. Huzzah!!
I had a productive morning before I left, since I decided on leftover sketties for lunch - no sammich to build! So I pulled a hunk o’salmon out of the freezer to thaw for weekend smokeage, then I loaded the accumulated dirty dishes in the dishwasher. And I still got out of the house early.
Cold weekend ahead, so I expect I’ll continue de-cluttering the 2 bedrooms that will become the suite for daughter, SIL, and grandbaby. How exciting is that?
'Beammette is at the “I know, I know” stage. As in “I know Mom, you don’t have to tell me.” Followed by a complete lack of movement. Did I tell you I got an intercom system? I get to [del]yell[/del] talk to the kids without leaving the kitchen.
Happy Thorsday! (Which reminds me - the movie was awesome.)
Good Mornin’ Y’all! It’s still mornin’ here for another 36 minutes. Needless to say I am up and caffeinated, ‘Tis 54 Amurrkin out and drizzly with a predicted high of 58 and rain. I have been to the Pubic Sto’ for a couple of things and have mac ‘n cheese made up and ready to bake. The bros and sils will be here around two for the get together, We’re doin’ rotissed chikin with sides plus the mac ‘n cheese, Sis made a ‘nanner puddin’ and I bought a triple chawklit bundt cake ‘mornin’. Plus there’s ice cream. We’re big on dessert. Shades the ‘nanner puddin’ sis made is homemade from scratch with the real vanilla custard and meringue toppin’. The toppin’ even has sugar beads which will form when the ‘nanner puddin’ is refrigerated for a few hours. She made it last night.
Sis are wearin’ blue shirts in honor of our brother Gary, her twin and my younger brother. The mac ‘n cheese is the mac ‘n cheese he always made. We decided on usin’ real plates etc even just like we did growin’ up. After all, the dishwasher is our friend.
OK I need to do a couple other things on teh intartoobz and then get ready to do the family thing.
Minor differences, living in the country no. 15, decided to try and get some hoss manure for my shiny new allotment, as I just missed their annual delivery. When I lived in the city, it took literally years or asking round to find a decent supply, and that was a half hour drive away. Living here, I posted on the local facebook info group, and within minutes was inundated with offers… to the point I had to ask everyone to stop now please!
I may be the only person in the area without a horse.
Usual Thursday Morning Mayhem done and now getting ready for work mode. Found out yesterday that another of us Original Associates is leaving. Same as a lot of people - hates the current site lead and doesn’t need the aggravation when a slightly better job comes along. Its going to make for a tougher Peak though since this is another person who KNOWS what we’re in for that won’t be around. Last year over 40% of the people had one under their belt and over a dozen of us had two. This year its more like 20% with one and maybe 10 with two or more. Yet another reason I am glad I decided to stay a peasant for this year.
You’re phone doesn’t work, I offer you a quarter to use the payphone to resolve it (Where one finds a pay phone anymore is a different story.) & this is the thanks I get? Harumph!
Home, ready for the weekend. We’re going out for supper because **FCD **has been housebound all day and he wants to escape. As soon as he picks the place, we’re outta here.
The rest of the evening shall be mostly chillage. I’ve got a couple of days of manual labor ahead. Because my life is so exciting.
My son called his female teacher a “d*ck”. He’s fairly upset with her right now, and autistic. However, real life will come calling soon enough and you can’t go around calling people names just because you want to. This particular word choice leaves me completely flummoxed. I don’t even know where to start. ::throws hands in the air::
Other than that, I have spent the day NOT working on my novel, and NOT getting other stuff done either. Take that world. pbbbbbbbt
Howdy Y’all! Family get together was a ton o’ fun! We went over the final settlement of mom’s estate which was kinda sad, but overall we ate, we talked, we laughed and made merry. Got a nice chunk o’ change as well. Not enough to become a jetsetter but enough to do some stuff I’ve wanted to do at da cave like new floors and still have a good amount leftover, so it’s good.
spidey, most kids under 18 have never heard a dial tone.
sunny, I’ve told one sister to quit being a d!ck on several occasions. It rarely works for long.
My count coordinator and I cleaned the file and supply cabinets out today in preparation for the big move to (more cramped, temporary) other quarters tomorrow. We found about $500 worth of ink cartridges for two inkjet printers that are no longer on my manager’s desk. I contacted IT to see if anyone had these printers on their desks anymore (I don’t think they do, but hey, due diligence) and after noon tomorrow, they’re up for grabs to department members before being dumped. Given the new construction projects in the plant, it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re moved more than once before being settled into our permenent digs.
I worked. I think they screwed up my shipment. Again. Gordie finally pooped. “Princess Pretty Paws” won’t go out if the ground is damp. I hit The Sto on the way homeI bought

I sense a theme.
You should have gotten the vidoe version, so she could roll her eyes at you properly.
So did you get it all from one person, or did everybody pony up a share of horse manure?
I’m hoping I’ll be getting it all from a horse :dubious:
Cleaning job this morning; I think they’re starting ‘spring cleaning’ (I haven’t pointed out that it’s November). I have a bit of a case of the don’twannas. It’s hibernating season, so far as I’m concerned.
