Generic treats are made and salmon is marinating in brine - to be smoked tomorrow.
First load in the dryer and almost done, second load in the washer, and probably done, one more to go.
Go me!!

Are you all taking naps??
Laundry is done. Half of the generic krispies are ingested. Salmon has been brined and is now sitting out to form a nice pellicle. In a bit, it’ll go into the fridge, then tomorrow, I’ll smoke it.
The rest of the night will involve chillage and TV.
No, but the eyes are at half mast; just sitting here & waiting for dinner (lasagna).
**FCD **just headed to WaWa to get us a couple of salads for supper. Other than that, quiet here.
If you can smoke salmon, can you also vape it?
Had brunch with a few of my wind orchestra friends today.
Time for me to practice the ukulele and the glockenspiel.
Shopping is complete. I got a new crate bed for Nelson (I’ll repair his old one for the car), four toys and the cutest little coat. Then I stopped at the craft store for glue dots, but somehow a rubber stamp, some cardstock, ribbon and lace got in my buggy.
We went the dog park for a while and I’m now ingesting beef stew and cornbread.
Today there is a festive Christmas bough on the porch rail, and Papa Skeleton (I believe that it is a family group) is wearing a Santa Claus hat. He just needs a turkey and a bunny on the child skeleton’s lap to be all set for any holiday.
Perhaps I should take a couple of beers over and get to know my neighbor.
No actual cats are harmed – they are spared.
My I-gotta-get-a-life-time average is 188.
Many useful things were accomplished today including getting a “Frozen” bicycle and matching helmet for the local leather clubs toy drive.
Don’t ask.
Its just our Holiday tradition and a local K-mart is closing.
Would that be chat with a silent “h” then?
You can get that at the one massage parlor around here but it costs like a hundred bucks.
Only if you can also tuna fish.
With that I think I’ll go back to the Futurama marathon.
I actually was when you wrote that.
Woke up, fed myself dinner and am now trying to read both a book and the internet at the same time. Will probably head for the TV and see how the college tackleball is going.
 I may be (distantly) related to Swampy!
Why do I think that? I’m at my cousins, there’s a basket on the top of the terlet tank with (5) five spare rolls of TP!
She’s doing some detox/cleanse diet.
Of course there are supplements/shakes to purchase to do this.[sup]100[/sup]
Interestingly, “chat” is the French word for cat.
Work was busy. Canes lost, after leading all game.:smack: Beer,
 The herds of Wisconsin would stampede me to death for that.
Nah, Something like this, with a Santa hat and beard on the skull.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 48 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 65 and cloudy for the day. No big plans other than deheathenization for the day. I have ush duty. Rah. We’ll go to Snake ‘n Shake for N.O.L. cause we have coupons. Both coupons involve a free shake so it’s all good. I need to pull some stuff out of da freezer for suppage durin’ the week as well.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hungry. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence at some point.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Dang, swampy, you have 20 more degrees than we do at the moment! Winter snuck in after our extended summer. And our furnace isn’t working. I’ve been trying to set up a service call for it, but I can’t do it at work and I forget when I get home. Guess I need to remember now. Thank goodness for the pellet stove, tho - at least 68° reaching to the hallway at the opposite end of the house, and it’s in the 70s in the main areas, so there’s that. It appears the 3 tons won’t go to waste after all.
Today, the critters’ fountain must be cleaned (I shoulda done it yesterday) and the salmon will be smoked. I’ll probably futz in the spare bedrooms, too. I need to get pics of the bedroom furniture that I’m going to sell.
We also need to make a convenience center run - between trash, recycling, and the packing debris from the shelving units, we’ve got a lot to go. Can’t have it accumulating in the garage. Especially since it’s piling up against the bags of pellets.
So, semi-busy day ahead.
Oh, and today is the 34th anniversary of the first date I had with my sweetie. We went to see The Big Chill. But it wasn’t chilly, as we were in Jacksonville, FL at the time. Hard to believe it was that long ago. Even harder to believe that 4 weeks later we eloped, but that’s another story.
Happy Sunday!!
I’m at the race course already. It’s 25° freakin’ degrees here!
blurfage
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. It was only 30 this morning.
It’s only 7° here
However, there is some sunshine between the showers, so I just nipped out and got some hoss muck. It’s one of those things that you spend ages shovelling, filling bags, squeeze it all in the car, then get it to the site, spread it out, and you have enough to cover maybe 1/20th of the area. I foresee a few more trips in the near future.
I gave up after one trip today though, 'cos the rain started coming in sideways again. It ain’t half wet and windy round here. The horsey place said they had such a huge quantity 'cos it had been so wet this year that the farmer who normally collects it all couldn’t get his tractor in.
55F here in North Ali-bama, and I’ll be going out shortly to do my last (I hope!) mowing of 2017. Then decide what to eat and call brother regarding my Thanksgiving visit and Xmas plans (they’re going to Texas this year, debating if I want to fly or drive down to meet them).
