Viagra? I think that’s what my iphone needs. It can’t go a whole day without being charged. :dubious:
I don’t need a new phone, this one isn’t even paid for yet.
However, I went back to at&t and I found a page to dispute the charges and am getting a refund - don’t know if it is from at&t or google though.
Now I have to get the block put on, so at&t is safe for now.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t help that they outsource their calls, and it’s difficult to go off script when English isn’t the first language of the person you are talking to.
I rearranged the furniture, again, and I still don’t like it.
What it comes down to is that the rug is too small. It worked with the couch because the couch was low to the ground and the rug went slightly under it, so you didn’t see so much hardwood.
My son is going to kill me if I ask him to move stuff again.
Good practice for when he gets married I guess.
Or I could just buy a bigger rug.
Howdy Y’all! I accomplished stuff today and avoided a near tragedy. Did a lot of mowage over to the church house this mornin’ along with the pickin’ up of many limbs before mowage. Pee-kahn trees love to drop limbs. After all that I came home and showered. Then I was washin’ up some dishes from this mornin’ that included the coffee pot. The handle of the coffee pot came loose! ::clutch pearls and faint:: I found the manual for the coffee maker which told me what kind of, as in the make and model number, of coffee maker it is so I could find out if a replacement pot is possible. Yes, I do know the brand of coffee maker we own but stuff like model number is nowhere to be seen on the coffee maker itself. Anywho, I found out the type of pot needed and lo and behold, it was available at :eek:Wally*World:eek: so I went and got one. Tragedy and crisis averted.
MOOOOOOM and Nettie hope the tummy woes are better.
I do not own a watch. OK, not true I do own one I just don’t wear the thing cause I don’t like stuff on my wrist. I be weird like that. OYKW wears a watch when he remembers to put it on which is a daily fifty-fifty thing with him. He be weird like that.
Sari I’ve been with ATT for years and sometimes I need to pitch a hissy fit with ‘em about stuff. I’ve thought about switchin’ over to somewhere else on occasion, but in the end, I figure if I did I’d still need to pitch the occasional hissy fit, so I stay with ATT.
doggio, that sucks about the vacation scheduling.
Careful there ruble!
Feel better soonest nettie and Mooooooom!
Good boy Buddy! It sounds like you got a good one butters.
bumba, Nelson’s been keeping me abreast of the carpet laying in the apartment that backs up to mine. It’s the terrier way.
sari, Alien is (mostly, except the Viagra / Verizon part) right. Phones are flashed for the market (carrier). If you should go to T-Mobile, you won’t have to get a new phone. Anybody else, you will.
swampy, over the years, I’ve found that the type of drip pot that I use charges almost as much for the carafes as teh whole kit and kaboodle. Usually by the time that the pot breaks, the whole unit is ready to be replaced as well. On the weekends, I tend to use French press or stovetop makers.
Well, it looks like metal mouse sent the rain north, courtesy of Barry. When I got off irk today, it was pouring with thunderboomers and lightening. Even waiting for ten minutes, it didn’t let up, so I dashed to the car, getting completely soaked. By the time I drove the 7 miles and change home, it had slowed to a sprinkle. I make the decision to take tomorrow off. It would have been slow all day, we’ll be slammed next week and I need a mental health day.
Hawt as hades. Tahred this has been the longest ever. So sleepy. Finally made the store run for cat food. Had hot dogs for sup.
Went back to the ball field and tossed a ball for the pup but it was so hawt we gave up. Tell me again why I got a puppy. I will shout from the rooftop when hubs get home tomorrow evening.
Rosie’s sig all y’all!!
Nappage turned into sleepage and I only got the front yard mowed before the thunder in the surrounding skies suggested I come inside. I could have finished it, but forgot I had set the mowing level to shorter than normal one the cut before I left for vacation, so had to stop and bag more often than I normally do. Control has been reset so tomorrow I should be able to knock out the backyard fairly quickly.
Cookie, my magazine folks are both black and white and I’ve learned not to let them get started, just politely say I’m retired on a fixed income and if they won’t take no for an answer just close the door (politely…)
Red, Bumba, that’s why I’ve never had an expensive watch in my life. A $19.95 Timex from Wal-Mart will do just fine. And hope you like your new watch, FCM.
Sari, good luck with the phone change.
Butters, hope new director finds other areas to harass and also hope you have replacement(s) for your departing worker in place.
No need to make myself presentable and forage for sustenance.
**MetalMouse **- I’m sure to like the new watch because it’s the same as the one I’m currently wearing. That’s why I was so happy to find it (them!)
I have survived my ick-belly and I’m as normal as I can be, all things considered. Thus endeth my day. I’m ready for sleepy-time.
So a detective came by, and maybe our loing term thief might have a chance of doing time. And the detective had to call an ambulance for one of my customers. And that’s not even a top 5 day in terms of excitement in Da Hood.
[The Dude]But that rug really ties the room together![/The Dude]
metal mouse, my vintage watch (a Bulova) was only about $30 to fix. G-Grandad’s pocket watch was the one that went over budget. Being a family heirloom though, I wanted to keep it and pass it down to a family member when I’m gone.
i wish i was on any kind of vacation tonight aunt went and got depressed and pissed and drank too much Coors and possibly jd for her so i think she’s asleep in the bathroom…
Part of the problem is shes old fashioned and does things that no one really cares about anymore (or didn’t in the first place) because she “has to be doing something” and when she feels she doesn’t get recognition for it she gets all pissed off about it and were all asshole sob’s cause no one shouted hip hip hooray…
and i ordered dinner which was almost an hour ina half late because the first driver was having problems and i had to wait for a second driver to go get the order …wadda shitty night …
Going to be out of play today too (good thing I have the PTO). Yesterday’s problem was at the other end of my body from today’s, plus some sinus woes. I guess with 50 around the corner, I’m out of warranty by now. (grump)
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 90 with a chance of afternoon rain/tstorms/apocalypse. We shall see. We did have a tboomer early yestiddy evenin’ and after that some nice steady rain. Really cooled things off outside. We went out on the back porch for a while and just sat and enjoyed the relative coolness and the sound of rain on the awnin’ over the porch. Today I shall head over to the church house to perform candle duty and haul the biiiiiiiiiiiig trash can (only one this week!) back to where it lives between pickups. Next week is VBS time which I am ignorin’ except we did buy some foodstuffs to donate. Problem is it will be in the evenin’ time so that means I’ll have to go over after it’s over Wednesday evenin’ to deal with the trash. Sometimes life is hard for the [del]church janitor[/del] Junior Warden.
{{{Nettie}}} hope you feel better soonest!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I shall purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Such a bother!
Happy Firday Y’all!
I’m trying to psyche myself up to mow. It’s not working. Adulting is hard.
Happy Firday, I guess.
Up caffeinated and sheveled. Off to work
welp aunt is in bed passed out but somewhat coherent … tomorrow is gonna be a looong day …
Well, that was some quick mowage - I think I got into a yellow jacket nest. I was stung twice on the back of my right leg, once near the tip of my left pinkie (making typing painful) and once on the right cheek (not that one, you pervs!!) just under my eye. That’s the one that hurts the worst. Fortunately, it didn’t get caught inside my shirt - that happened last time and it was not good. I’ve taken an antihistamine and I’ve showered. That’s the end of it.
I did manage to get the easier ditch done, but the nasty bastard was guarding around the corner of the lot - the part I hate to mow. I never got to the hill - maybe I’ll try tomorrow with the weed whacker. But in the meantime, OUCH!! Dammit.
I get to chill for about 90 minutes, then Taz and Higgs go to the vet. Rah.
I took today off. Was out of coffee this morning so went to 7-11 in yoga pants and a Rolling Stones t shirt, aka my pjs. I was kind of embarrassed. Getting a massage later (get yer minds out of the gutter) then go check on Ariel. High today is 96 and really humid, so the heat warning is still in effect.
FCM, hope you’re better. Might have been better if he had stung the ‘other’ cheek, having a sting that near the eye can’t be comfortable…
wet one, I often retrieve the newspaper in a t-shirt and what I call my sleeping pants, so don’t sweat it.
Shady, sounds like you’re the responsible one in the family…hope aunt recovers OK.
Nettie, if I may ask, what is PTO? I goggled it and couldn’t find anything that seemed to bear on it (I’m pretty sure it is Parent-Teacher Organization or Powered Take-Off that is troubling you…)
78F heading for 91F, so mowage of the backyard will be in about 45 minutes (for all neighbors that are sleeping in). Also need to clean up the kitchen and start laundry (finish it Saturday).
All y’all have a good Firday.
Ow. The wife and I got our Shingrix booster shot yesterday, and the arm is pretty sore this morning. Not as bad as the first one, which lingered for several days, but achy. Beats having a dose of shingles, for sure.
Howdy Y’all! All my out of da cave chores are now complete. YAY! 'Tis drizzly out so glad to be inside and dry. I forgot to mention earlier but sup will be burgers 'n fries. I know y’all were worried.
MetalMouse PTO = Paid Time Off. A fancy way to say leave time.
Cookie havin’ had Shingles, even the relatively mild case I had, I say yep, the vaccine is better.
