Howdy from da cave. The weather PTB have now decided that Sattidy, Sunday, Moanday, and possibly Tuesday shall be rain/tstorms/apocalypse. Sattidy’s plans were to be a buncha yahdirk at OYKW’s place and da cave. Instead, this evenin’, in just a bit as a matter of fact, I’m headin’ over to OYKW’s to commence yahdirk. A little bit of weedin’ needs doin’, hedges need trimmin’ and the yahd needs to be mowed and edged. He will weed and trim and I shall mow and edge. It’s a small yahd so really that’s under two hours worth of yahdirk. Tomorrow evenin’ I shall mow and edge da yahd at da cave. I’d already taken care of any weedin’ that needed doin’ a couple of weeks ago and it still looks good. Thus I can mow and edge da cave yahd in an hour or so, especially with my ridin’ mower. I likes to ride my mower. OYKW is stoppin’ at MickeyD’s to grab us a burger and fries for dindin. Not the best, but it’ll do for a yahdirk evenin’s repast.
Of course we will do this and Sattidy will be just perfect weather. Oh well, at least it’ll be done.

Irk sent me into email hell. I just went through 29 tech riders for a festival, sent and received a metric bottload of mails and advanced Kool and the Gang for the Grande Casa de Rock.
Well mostly, I am waiting for the next wave of responses.

We went to Salsa’s for a late lunch/early supper. It was yummy. And cheap. I’s stuffded, and freezing, so I’m going to have me some hot tea. It’s 67° in the house, but it feels a lot colder. I hope it’s because I drank ice water with lunch and not because I’m coming down with something. I don’t like getting sick.
I had a nice surprise in the mail today - a check for $34 from my recently quit job. Apparently temps get extra pay to make up for the PTO they don’t get. So on the way to lunch, we put it in the credit union. Now we’re in for the rest of the day. I’m thinking I’ll be going to bed early tonight - I’s tahred!
back from the doc. My status is Quo. But there’s a lot of effort involved in using the lift, it’s electric, but I still have to walk around it to fasten the belts that keep it on the lift while I’m driving. And since this is the first I’ve ventured out in months, I am spent. So I am going to collapse shortly.
I have to go out to tomorrow to see the apartment but that’s probably all I’ll be doing.
I just checked my cruise status - we get underway in 146 days!! That means we fly out of Dulles in 144 days. We’ll see how fast those days pass!

Mowage has been accomplished. Matter of fact, when I got back to da cave I decided to go ahead and mow the back yahd since it does not take as long as the front to mow. I’ve had a shower and am now relaxatin’. I foresee an early bedtime cause I’s tahrd!

Tomorrow night my favorite local singer is playing at a restaurant and my dad and I are going to go! I haven’t seen my dad in awhile so it will be nice to hang out with him. Also, apparently he was supposed to go to some type of event with his girlfriend that he didn’t want to go to and I’ve gotten him out of having to do it. Bonus points!
I’m sneaking this in at the end because its kind of painful. On the 31st, I was out and about (the Devils won btw) so lottery tickets were put off being checked until the morning of the 1st.

Oh yes, I love getting up at 4:30 in the freekin’ AM because the dog is done sleeping!!! :mad: I tried to fall back to sleep, but once I’m up, I’m pretty much up. Stoopit dog. On the plus side, I’ve activated the two new check cards we got from the credit union, so the ridiculously early rise time wasn’t totally wasted. :rolleyes:
It rained again overnight. So the question becomes: Will the shed guy beg off because of the wet ground? Or will his brakes still be not fixed? Time will tell. If this drags into next week, I will not be happy at all.
On the other hand, it’s Firday, which means something to the non-retirees out there, so Happy Firday!
