A Foolish April MMP

Reminds me of a song.
We’re!
All!
In this together!

I’m trying to put the finishing touches on a new piece of music.

I am waiting.

A school district called me Friday afternoon about a job interview and I didn’t get the message until after 5 so I called them back this morning. Now I’m waiting for them to call me again. I hate waiting. I hope they call today because I need to let my work know as soon as possible if I’m going to need to take a day off.

**sari **- I know you’ve been looking towards western MD, but have you considered any other areas?

This reminds me of my first MMP post. Rue was talking about the importance of brushing, or somethin like that. I chimed in about my adventures in getting my gums sliced open and having plaque removed from the jawbone. Delightful.

As for pulling pranks on people for April Fool’s Day, I stopped doing those things after the coroner’s inquest that followed (what I thought would be) a spectacular prank. It pays to have someone else check your calculations in a situation like that.

Howdy from da cave. I was goin’ to grill some talapia with peppers ‘n onions, and make some wild rice with mixed veggies for dindin. However, OYKW called me. He has a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for some Maryland Fried Chikin, tater tots and coleslaw. So we are goin’ from a healthy dindin to a not so healthy one. He’s pickin’ it all up as I post. Oh well, we shall eat healthy tomorrow then cause that fish gotta get cooked.

Sean you pulled a prank that led to a coroner’s inquiry? Dang! You pull out all the stops!

StickyBuns here’s hopin’ the school district has called already or will call soonest.

In other news, oak and pee-kahn pollen is startin’ to go at it (well, oak has been at it a little bit) and I’m beginnin’ to feel the effect, so I feel for ya Jim. Oak and pee-kahn are my worst Spring allergies.

West Virginia and Tennesse

One of my friends wants me to come out her way into Harford County, If I’m going to go that way I may as well keep going right on up into Cecil County.

Maybe I should look down your way.

If I could find something nice in my price range right over the border in WV I’d rather go there. The taxes are a whole lot cheaper.
Even if the male half of the HFH thinks WV is a horrible place. That they don’t like it makes it makes it all the more attractive.

**sari **- a quick look shows a lot of places in Indian Head that seem to be in your price range. I don’t know much about the area - I did a craft show there years ago, but a quick look on one crime site shows it to be a pretty safe area.

I saw a house near me that could be a good deal for a handy person, but I’m guessing it’ll be more than you would want to deal with. Too bad, tho - we could almost be neighbors!

Good point. At least if you pick an area HFH deem beneath them, they’re a lot less likely to show up on your doorstep.

Sooooooo stuffded. Sooooooo bloated feelin’. 'Twas sooooooo good though!

Laundry is done, windows are opened, Gordie has been walked. A lot.

sorry about the house woes ,sari.

Nettie, instead of moving out of state, she could just get a place she wants, and mine the front yard.

I was sulking about the lady not calling and I had to go to the drugstore. Well, while I was in the car on the way there my phone fell out of my pocket and I didn’t realize it until I got back into the car and saw that she’d left me a message. :smack: I wasn’t expecting her to call after 5. So, I called her back and accepted the time slot that she had available (by leaving a voicemail message). Then she called me back to tell me the address and I hit the wrong button on my phone and sent her straight to voicemail. :dubious::smack:

At any rate, it’s all settled. I’m going next week. It would be 99% of the job I’d want and much closer to RT’s children.

Except for potential legal/HOA issues, I like this idea better.

I think I’m going to go do some afghaning. *** MWAH!***

How may HOAs have to put a “no minefield” clause in the bylaws?:dubious:

Sah-dog might not be fond of this idea. I’m pretty sure the pooch doesn’t wanna be like Danny Glover

Sah-dog, STAY!!!”

It snowed yesterday - about 3" worth. Today it was 12ºC and sunny all day, with warm sunny days for the rest of the week. The weekend forecast - rain & snow. I’m beginning to disbelieve in this “Spring” myth people keep promising.

As for April Fool’s Day, I’m a government accountant, our new fiscal year begins on April 1, and that’s when our new financial system goes live. I won’t need any other jokes played on me, thank you very much!

Yay! I’ve cobbled together a system that allows me to access my old tape files so I can put them on YouTube.

Right now I’m sending a documentary I shot in Ecuador in 1995. I also have some cool chopper video from Sky Eye Chopper 13 back in the day, and a bunch of other interesting video (fires, rescues, World Bank riot in Georgetown).

I’m gonna be busy for awhile doing this stuff.

Up caffeinated, off to work.

Up, caffeinated and at irk. I expect today to be irksome.

I overextended with the workout last night so today I am hurty rather than achy, must remember not to sit still for too long today otherwise I’ll seize up completely. Fortunately I have two nights off before the next workout so I have a bit of recovery time before it all starts again.

Tonight it’s Fat Club so I will be thinking very thin thoughts all day, but of course any weight gain will be blamed on building muscle in my workout.
