Did Nat let you get back to sleep, LiLi? Here’s hoping.

Awake. Put away dishes. Put additional dishes into washer. Brekkified. Off to get ready for work.

Why is it so early this morning?

GT

Obligatory ::blurf::, with a bonus :gruff snort of contempt: on general principles.

Must forage. That is all.

meep meep zip Baaang!

What she said…

Good morning!

I have to take Blaze to the vet today. I took him on Monday because he has been peeing all over the place, like he can’t control it. They said he had a urinary infection, and wanted to give him an antibiotic. I had a choice between pills and a shot, so I chose the shot since that dog does not let me pill him very easily. But they were out! They called last night and got some in, so I’ll take a half day of “personal business.” I hope it fixes him up quickly, poor baby! He looks so embarassed to be incontinent. Poor guy is getting old. :frowning:

That should only take less than an hour, and I’ll have the rest of the day off! I’m gonna decorate the entryway. And make chicken marsala and mushroom pasta for dinner. Yum!

I’m having lunch with my ex-coworker today at a Cajun place. It will be good to see her.

Better get busy… later, gators!

Good morning! I am up and into coffee # 3 or 4 - I forget which. Must be at work in two hours and I am taking the 3 y/o with me. I just can’t explain how excited I am about that.

I forgot to tell my Halloween memories - I remember being a witch. Every year, a witch. Black leotard, black skirt and pointy hat. And I think I added vampire teeth one year. Um, yeah. But this year my youngest son is going to be Superman and it’s so cute and he has already worn the mask every day and tried to wear the cosutme every day. The older son is the grim reaper complete with a bleeding mask. I can already tell he’s regretting his choice and I am trying to decide whether or not to let him off the hook. He did choose the outfit, but he’s miserable in it. I will not be wearing the Alice costume, as I will be playing the part of the responsible sane mother that trick or treats.

Ugh, the cold. I’ll reiterate. This is bullshit.

PS - only 6 more days and we will be done with the election. Doesn’t matter who you are for, everyone can agree on one thing - oh god please let it be over soon!!!

snowbunny, I’m getting mine tomorrow. My company has been offering them for as long as I’ve worked here and I’ve only had the flu once in 18 years (really screwed up New Years 2000).

stg, if y’all have been reading along, you shouldn’t be worried about joining in. No rules and all that.

rosie, my brother reports that Binghamton (home town) reported a record-breaking 1.4 inches of snow.

So the weather is bad across the pond as well, boo fae? Mr. Anachi says we should blame Canada for not keeping track of their weather.

We have record-breaking cold this morning. That’s what the weather dude says anyway. It was 45 degrees Murkin. I am like “c’mon y’all! This is Flawduh! And it’s October! WTF???

And the Dems have scheduled Barack and Bill Clinton to speechify outside down in Kissimmee tonight.

I think tonight would be a grand night for some red beans and rice and smoked snausage, don’t you?

Tupug

Blurf. I will be caffienating in, like, a minute or so. Blessed, blessed coffee!

I want it to start snowing, dangit, early and lots of it! We got a couple of inches a couple of weeks ago, but I want it to get cold so that when it falls, it stays.

ETA: 45F is cold? Bwahahahaha!!!

Yes, it’s cold, especially to someone who would prefer mid-June year 'round.

That said, I laugh long and hard at the regular folk around Cottonfield County and Tidewater Virginia who dress for the blizzard when it’s 50 out. You’ll see me in a light jacket. I make an exception to the ridicule for those who work outside in the weather, however.

Morning, again.

Question for Pie, If selling entrees, individually portioned, what would be a reasonable price for say, soup or stew? I appear to possibly be starting a very small business. My child appears to be eating my shoes…

:runs off:

Evening all. Weather today is still kinda warm - as at 6pm, it’s 84°F/29°C outside, with an expected overnight low of 77°F/25°C. And since we’re headed south in December, we won’t get too much really cold (i.e. 50°F/10°C) weather!

Will you Murkins just hurry up and elect a president - either the guy the rest of us want, or the former POW senile old white guy (and his Jesus-horse-riding girlfriend). I am so sick of your news dominating everyone else’s headlines!

You think YOU’RE sick of em???

Er, as a very general rule you would want to triple the cost of your ingredients. Possibly more or less than that depending on the level of difficulty. And, if you are selling in disposable containers don’t forget to factor in the container cost, too. You can PM me with other questions if you’d like.

I’m here in TVLand now pretending that I’m thinking about paying the rest of the bills.

Trust me Dotty, we’re all sick of it too. November 4th can’t get here soon enough!

Another drive by: Hugs and smooches to all!

Yes. Thank goodness this thing is going to be over next week.

Well, except for the gloating. No matter who wins, there’ll be gloating.

Thanks, Pie. I’ll do that.

swampy, I have a PII related question.

Yesterday I spoke with maybe half a dozen folks from BT’s customer service. Even when I was talking with two people from the same department (the first two calls got automatically hung up because they hept me on hold for too long - le ugh!), they asked for different information every time. Some wanted my previous phone number; some the expected new one; old postcode (in the UK that identifies a very small area); new postcode; spell your lastname; customer ID; ticket number…

Does your employer ask for the same PII every time or is it like this?

Actually I usually don’t end up reading MMPs because they’re too long and it feels like eavesdropping kinda.

Dumb but serious question: in the world of hospitals, what does MICU stand for? ICU is Intensive Care Unit, but the M befuddles me.

I have 6 hours of precept time scheduled in one Election night.
