A journey thru the MMP

Where I. The world are you. I thought TX.

Chatty bunch today. Still not caught up. I had a hellish day that in retro-spect was fun No more hints. Remind me to tell y’all though cause I will forget.

Depends on the person. I’ve been known to drive four hours for a free lunch just to turn around and come home and I hate to think of how many times I’ve run to DelGrosso’s for a Pasta Wednesday just for the heck of it. Most times the best I can get is a day so when I have one I like to use it one way or another. Sometimes its not the distance or the reason, its the little thing in your heart that says “why not”.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. It’s 27 degrees, with a windchill of 16.:dubious:

Glad Nathan’s doing better, Cupcakes.

Ruble, I won’t be getting hammered till Friday.

Beautiful and 62 outside right now. I took a nice walk earlier down to my health clinic to ask one of the receptionists if she could help me get an appointment for a hearing check. It was obvious they were swamped; she asked me to come back on Monday. It’s not a problem; I waited this long, I can wait a few more days.

Waiting to hear back from our “va’ad bayit” (Hebrew for “house committee”), which is in charge of things in apartment buildings here. (Things like getting the floors cleaned every day, maintenance in the common areas, that sort of thing.) The other day he WhatsApped me and asked if we own a dog. When I answered yes, he accused me of letting my dog pee in the elevator, and told me to clean it up. I sent him a multi-point answer, which basically said we ALWAYS clean up after our dog, and it wasn’t Pepper that peed.

Yesterday, my wife comes home from shopping, and said there was more pee in the elevator, and it stank. I sent the guy a message, but have not heard back. I wish the people in this building cared more about the areas not inside their 4 walls.

Glad to hear that Nathan is doing better.

That’s odd. When we lived in FL, the main thing that drew me to Publix was the bakery, altho, to be fair, we didn’t buy desserts there. I loved their breads. They had a raisin pumpernickel that was so good it’d make you slap your grandma!!

They also made our daughter’s wedding cake, and it was amazing! But I can’t talk to their pies. Oh well…

Single digit windchills around here - not amused! Plus I had a terrible, short night. My lower legs - mostly where my socks cover - itched like crazy! I got up and slathered on lotion, but that barely helped. Then I tried petroleum jelly, and it sorta helped. I finally fell asleep around midnight, but was up before 5. Today will be a struggle.

I get to pick up my new specs this afternoon, and I’ve got 4 pairs of old glasses to donate to the Lions. My eye doc has a drop box in his lobby so I can finally get FCD’s and my old glasses to someone who might need them. Plus that gets them off my dresser, so yay!

Thus begins the 3rd Moanday this week. Happy Wednesday. <yawn>

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. ‘Tis 34 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 53 and N.O.S. for the day. No big plans for the day. I shall go to the sto’ to purchase some provisions and maybe go to the liberry. Tonight is soup 'n sammich over to the church house so that takes care of dindin.

MOOOOOOM the Pubic Sto’ does have some good bread in the bakery and the cakes one orders are pretty good. However, their pastries, pies, cookies, donut, brownies, etc leave much to be desired as do the cakes they have out on display to buy. :eek:Wally*World:eek: and Sam’s do a lot better job on those things, IMHO.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify before I head out amongst the public.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Driving might cost less than taking the train, admittedly.

Hey, y’all!

<runs butt-nekkid through the thread>

Bobbio!! Averts eyes lest permanent mental damage is done

27F here this morning, the kids here in Ali-bama are on Fall Break from school and I imagine that they are not amused with the chilly weather.

Managed while cleaning up my e-mail to erase all my in-box messages, which include my airline and hotel reservations for April in D.C. I can get the info back, but it will be a bit of a pain, so one ‘Gibbs dope-slap’ to me.

And just agreed to take on coaching a second team this spring soccer season…a girls U-12 team to go with the boys U-12. Well, it will keep me busy and maybe lose a pound or two…

Happy Hump Day!

It’s firggin’ cold outside. The kind of cold that takes your breath away.

I was up all night with the dog, but I can’t sleep anyway.
I’m not fighting it anymore, if I can’t sleep, I can’t sleep.

I’m still annoyed about Firefox, and I’m slowly whipping Chrome into shape.

So tell us what is going on Butters.

Nope, beautiful northern Illinois, about 40 miles west of Chicago.

Domino’s last night. Not bad for $3.38 (that includes tax).

::averting eyes from Bobbio running butt naked::

sari, have you tried uninstalling Firefox, then restarting your computer and reinstalling it? No idea if that would work, but I hate Chrome, too, and that’s what I’d do if Firefox died on me.

OK, back to work. Busy busy busy!

Bowser I hate it when folks don’t clean up after their pets. They really ruin it for those of us who are responsible pet owners. I hope it gets straightened out soon.

Oh, um, hey there Bobbio! Haven’t seen you <snerk> in a while. Welcome back!

'Beamer woke us up early today. Said he couldn’t sleep. Didn’t explain why, and it wasn’t that early, so I didn’t really think too much off it. Told him to read for a while until it was time to get dressed for school. Turns out he’s got a fever of 100 and his stomach hurts. :smack: I am not so smart when asleep. Must learn to ask more questions.

It is entirely too cold for such folderol. If you experience freezing or shrinkage it’s all your fault. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll try that** FCM**.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but never with a restart in between.
BBBobbio!!! Good to see you, even if I can’t look!

My mother and I are going to have a not so nice conversation today.
I had a TV at her house and I wanted to get it a few weeks ago when I was there. I couldn’t find it and my mother said she was sure I brought at home at the Christmas visit. I thought that maybe I did and with going with Direct TV I can have up to 4 TVs at no extra charge.
The TV is not here, which means somebody took it, and somebody is lying.

I know it is only a TV, but it’s just one more lie. And I am so goddamned sick of my mother’s lies. I feel sorry for her, but I have had enough of the bullshit.

*Don’t look, Ethel!!! *

Let’s see who knows why I said that.

Lunch. Kinda snuck up on me - very very busy here today. I’ve given up trying to prioritize anything. I just do what’s gotta be done as I get to it, unless I’m told it’s critical. So far, so good.

Oh yes, they call him “The Streak”…

Howdy Y’all! Provisions have been procured and a trip made to the liberry. 'Tis bright and N.O.S. out but cold. A good night for soup.

I am not surprised at BBibbio runnin’ nekkid through the thread. Heck for him that’s normal.

Then he come runnin’ across the basket ball court, dribblin’.
