Never park under them.
I learned the hard way.
What made it worse was the flock had just been feasting on blackberries.
Even worser, I had a white car.
Purple Rain took on a whole new meaning that day.

The work week is officially over for me WOOHOO!!!
On the bad side a water line burst back down from the garage and that street is inches thick ice. Which means I am probably not sneaking the bike out even with a thaw. Unless I find a LOT of cheap kitty-litter somewhere.
{{{Sari}}} parenting is hard.
Ivan made up or not - iz funny!
flytrap jealousy does not become you.
Butters Did I miss a special occasion? Sounds nummy!
Cupcake Welcome back! {{{hugs}}} Missed you! How’s it going?
Sadly, no.
So your dog is more upset that I rearranged your spices than that I stole your beer?
Gordie, Gordie, bark at the mole people. Gooooood boooyyyy!
We all hate you.
You are not attractive.
Your female parent dresses you in an unusual manner.
We will steal your lunch money tomorrow.
Are you talking to the mirror again?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 29 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 63 and N.O.S. for the day. The warm up is definitely upon us. The big thing on the agenda today is to put together a new storage cabinet to replace an older one that has seen better days. We shall load the old one onto twuck and haul it over to the alley in back of OYKW’s place. It will be gone from the alley by tomorrow mornin’
I’ll bet. Someone will ride down the alley, see it, and decide that he/she just cannot live without it as this happens with anything anybody sets out in the alley. I foresee suppin’ upon majik intartoobz pizza.
{{{CupCakes}}} welcome back!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, well, onward into the day!
Happy Sattidy Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Hopefully a short day.
So your dog is more upset that I rearranged your spices than that I stole your beer?
Gordie, Gordie, bark at the mole people. Gooooood boooyyyy!
He defends the whole apartment against his enemies. And I told him you were a sympathizer for The Invisible Mole People.
Welcome back, Cupcakes!
This waking up at stupid hour of the dark morning is getting old. Today it was before 3. I tried to fall back to sleep - I did. I rearranged my cover and my pillows, I rearranged myself, arms out of covers, arms under covers, I tried playing a boring word game on my tablet to make me snoozy… Nope - I was up. It’s gonna be a loooooooong day.
The carwash opens at 8 and we’re going to try to be among the first ones there. I’ve also got a load in the trunk for the thrift store - I’ve been driving it around for 2 weeks - out of sight, out of mind, yanno. It will be dispatched today. I’ve also got to help **FCD **with a couple of chores, including the transfer of a new closet door from the back of the truck to the basement so’s I can paint it while he’s gone.
It’s also critter-fountain-cleaning-day. And laundry, so **FCD **can pack for is departure tomorrow. And probably more stuff that I’m forgetting. Yep, looooooong day.
Welcome back, Cupcakes!!
Happy Saturday anyway.
Welcome back baker!
metal mouse, the Mo Super Deluxe is two meals even without sides. However, they will put those toppings on an 8 oz. burger. I particularly love the American dream story behind the chain. The location down the street gets my business about once a month. Last night, one of the cousins took my order, so it’s still mostly family who operate most of the locations.
I was thinking that Art and Ale was today, but it’s next month. My SIL is coming down anyway and we’re going to go find some trouble. We’ve agreed on pupusas for lunch and may wind up at a little cafe in Tullahoma for music by my friend’s band this evening.
Much has been accomplished. Car has been washed, tho they did a lousy job on the inside windows, so I need to wash them myself. We wrapped FCD’s delivery in plastic - it’s in the shed of the guy who’s going to help him install the new machine. Then we dropped off all the stuff at the thrift store and took care of some business at the credit union.
Back home, I got the laundry started, we set up the new door and frame for me to paint, and we repaired and I painted the bench from our bedroom (it’s a cheapie and it was falling apart. With luck, this will keep it together for a bit.
All that before noon. Plus, of course, breakfast. Oh, and I pulled some ribs out of the freezer for supper. Still gotta clean the critters’ water fountain tho.
Happy Saturday!
It’s a bright and N.O.S. day outside, already in the 50s.
I got a pretty decent night’s sleep especially after I got really pissed and yelled at both dog and cat.
They were at each other, waking me up several times, until I blew up and really laid into them.
They scattered and then the puppy layed down and went back to sleep.
This morning the cat is all pissy with me.
Like I care.
The puppy is subdued, and even though the cat has been teasing him all morning he is being mostly good.
Until I started typing this post.
They are worse than kids.
Sari trust me. It’s good they have each other to play with, or they’d be bugging you for entertainment (even more) all day.
No real plans I think. Hubby wants to go to CostCo, so that may be our fun for the day.
Happy Sattidy.
They are worse than kids.
Naw, you can’t leave kids out in the backyard all night.
Sadly, no.

I have got to get me one of these.
HEY SPIDEY ----- with the big game tomorrow we really should make a bet. If the Vikings win you have to go out and treat yourself to a lutefisk dinner.
If the Eagles win I’ll buy myself a cheesesteak and soft pretzel
Sounds interesting and totally fair.
I just now got a Facebook message from the Flat Earth Society(NOT A JOKE):
**Ivan,**The last money bet I ever made with another person (over 25 years ago) was $5.00 that the Flat Earth Society existed; he didn’t believe it. After I won, I think he joined up, because he still couldn’t believe it.
Well, it’s 60F outside and rather sunny, quite a change from the earlier part of the week. No soccer to referee this weekend, so thinking about trying a new restaurant called “The Toy Box”, supposed to have a lot of star wars themed toys, among others. I’m more interested if they can make a good meatloaf.
Bills have been paid and accounts balanced and my first service appointment for my car is set for Thursday morning. It’s interesting, I can remember having to change oil every 4,000-5,000 miles, then my previous car was every 7,500 miles, and now it’s 10,000 miles between changes (albeit with synthetic oil, which is pricier).
I have decreed tomorrow laundry day as I have only two pair of clean…undergarments…left in the drawers.
Welcome back, baker
Red, I think I’ll have to check out Mo’s next time I’m through your town.
**FCD **took a nap and I watched a movie about Queen Victoria’s coronation while crocheting. There was a sad lack of dessert, so a quick trip to McKay’s yielded some red velvet cake. YUM!
Shortly, I’ll pop the ribs in the oven to warm up, and cook up some crinkle fries. Probably some sort of veggie, too.
He’ll leave about 5 tomorrow morning - hope we can both sleep tonight.
57[sup]o[/sup] here!
Chicken cordon bleau, cauliflower and lentils for dinner.
I didn’t get much done today.
Left over pork barbeque for dinner. I don’t know what brand it was but it tasted pretty good.
A little mushy though.
Sah-son is on his own since he doesn’t like it.
Welcome back Cupcakes.
Sunny if it was playing I’d be okay with it, even if they woke me.
It always starts with the cat doing somethng to get the dog’s attention. Sometimes he’ll smack him, or rub up against him, or stare at him. Once he gets the dog’s attention he will stare, then give a chirp and run. If the dog doesn’t chase him, he’ll keep doing it until the dog runs towards him.
Game on, and they will charge around the house.
If the cat is smart he will jump up on a table, or run upstairs, and all is good.
If the cat stops and stands his ground, all is good. He’ll get up on his haunches and start batting Ripple in the face. Ripple is tough, several times the cat has gotten his claws into Ripple’s muzzle and Ripple doesn’t care.
The problem comes if the cat lays down, or rolls on his back.
Sometimes Ripple will play with him like he will play with my feet. He’ll use his head to push the cat around but he won’t use his teeth.
Other times though, Ripple will pounce on the cat, hold him down and chew on his head. The cat screams like he is being murdered, and the growling and hissing starts.
The cat isn’t playing anymore, but Ripple doesn’t understand Cat, and he starts playing rougher.
This is where we step in to break it up.
metal mouse, holler when you come through and I’ll treat!
SIL and I had a fun day. We hit several thrift stores, a ReStore, the Mexican bakery, the pupusa restaurant, bought some fresh tamales to take home from a lady who was set up at the bakery, had Thai for an early supper and now, I’m home.
Tomorrow, I’ll have coffee with the Freethinkers, take Nelson to the dog park, prep meals for irk and fix a nice supper.
Worked, went and drank beer at a live hockey podcast. Watching hockey now. Life is good.
Sari, Ripple and cat sound like half the siblings I know.
