A mile of the MMP

I had my RDA with Dell and made sure a couple of folks had their RDA in return. Their “solution” and I use the term loosely was to send me a new hard drive (that’s what’s FUBAR) so I could install it. Ummm… no. That is not the acceptable solution. The acceptable solution is to send me a new unit to replace the unusable one they already sent or gimme back my money. Anywho this means customer care which, big surprise, is not open on Sattidy or Sunday. Thus Moanday shall entail a call to customer care and the givin’ and receivin’ of Moanday RDA. However, I shall prevail. I am persistent. Nice to the people who do this stuff for a livin’ mind you, but still persistent and intent on gettin’ things done my way, i.e. the right way.

'Tis a down right balmy N.O.S. 73 Amurrkin out as I post. Da cave windows are open even. Nice!

It’s a small world after all!

You’re welcome!

I’m gonna make Doggio jealous:

Tonight I get to see 5 HoFers & 7 guys with a “C” on their sweater, including the L-C-B line (for the last time evah) & the Legion of Doom on ice again!

If only I had known then what I know now.

Oh, and Happy sattiday!

Laundry is done - well, except for the load of towels in the dryer, but that’s easy. We went to lunch at Steak in a Sack - and it sucked. In fact, it was our second time there in a month, and it sucked both times.

Service was terrible. Both times, people who came in after us and ordered after us got their meals before we did. Today, our server asked us 3 different times what we wanted to drink before our beverages showed up. Between waiting for menus, waiting for someone to take our order, and waiting for our subs, it was over 30 minutes of sitting and waiting. And the bill topped $30 - dinner with a tip at Cracker Barrel last night wasn’t that much. Doubtful we’ll ever go back. Criminy, there are only 12 tables in the whole place and there were 4 servers. WTF???

**FCD **is napping and I need to clean the critters’ water fountain. ick. We did decide on N.O.T. soup for supper. Beyond that, the day involves maximum sluggage. Once I clean the fountain, I shall assume the Netflix position and work on my afghan.

Hamburger steak, sallit, and sweet N.O.T. fries shall be dindin. I am feelin’ all gourmet expecially since I will make onion gravy.

For your ear worm pleasure!

Here’s a llama
There’s a llama

I’m concentrating on irk today.

Also irking on retraining the cat. He got bopped in the head the other day because he smacked me with his claws while I was sleeping. I didn’t mean to bop him, but bop him I did. He got me in the knee today. He is getting really obnoxious about wanting treats and if I don’t give him some quickly enough he will smack me. My fault for spoiling him, now he has to be unspoiled.

**sari **- have you tried a squirt bottle? It works on Taz… and Higgs.

We won’t be having supper tonight. Lunch lies heavy upon the gut. ugh.

I was watching a series on Netflix about people who bought and are restoring grand estates in Wales. Beautiful countryside there - I think I need to plan a trip.

An early dindin has been ingested. Chill mode ensues. All is well.

FCM I haven’t tried the spray bottle on this because he is so close to me when he does it. The spray bottle worked great to stop him from clawing at my wall hanging, but he didn’t know I’m the one who did it.
Ignoring his requests for treats is working so far. I put a blanket over my knees so I have some padding.

I’m not sure how to handle his claws when I am petting him. Sometimes he’ll reach up and touch my face - so sweet. Most of the time he keeps his claws in, but every now and then - OUCH! I tell him ‘no claws’ and move his paw, but I’m not sure he gets it.

Such a dreary day today.

Good morning. Yesterday it was sweltering hot (36C/97F and very humid). Last night it rained and rained, and now the temperature is 24C/75F. I slept nearly 10 hours, and feel much better. The house is still a mess, and there are still towels to wash, but Babygirl decided to eat pancakes this morning. Go figure! Maybe all she needed was public shaming!

For flytrap:

In other earworm news:

I met her in a club down in old Soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like Coca-Cola
C O L A cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola
L O L A Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Carry on …

Okay. :dubious:

So when you’re in love an oily flounder is a miracle?

I feel like I could go to bed right now but it’s way too early. Just feelin’ tahrd. Maybe it’s lie on the bed and watch teevee time. We’re havin’ a <snerk> Quickie <snerk> N.O.L. tomorrow after deheathenization at which I have ush duty.

I went out this afternoon after lazing about this a.m. Found drapes that don’t need hemmed at Goodwill. Everywhere else, what I found were way too long unless I wanted to have customs done for $300. I walked out for $10 for ones for the bedroom and the studio., took them to the cleaner and will look for a rod for the big window tomorrow. I’ll find a handyman to hang them, as that’s less expensive than a trip to the ER. :stuck_out_tongue: I think with something over the blinds, my heating/cooling bill will be less expensive.

I also swung by the office supply store for photo paper. They had a sale on paper goods, so I bought enough TP, paper towels and tissues to make swampy proud.

I don’t consider that cheap, I feel it is fiscally responsible.

Here in Topeka we are waiting for the ice storm that’s supposed to start later tonight. I have the front and side windows on my car protected, as I still fully intend to deheathenize tomorrow morning. Some churches, smaller ones anyway, have said they are pre-emptively cancelling Sunday services, but when a congregation is the cathedral church for the diocese they WILL be open. I live less than a mile away, so if I give myself plenty of time I should be okay.

I’ve got plenty of food in the house, and am prepared. Even if I lost power for a while I would still be able to heat water for tea or coffee, as I have a gas stove.

missred, I love used goods stores! My favorite local store is called God’s Storehouse and I’ve scored some good stuff there. My favorite winter jacket, a Chistmas tree, kitchen gadgets, a table lamp, the list goes on.

When you find youself in danger, When you're threatened by a stranger, When it looks like you will take a lickin', (puk, puk, puk) There is someone waiting, Who will hurry up and rescue you, Just Call for Super Chicken! (puk ack!)

Fred, if you’re afraid you’ll have to overlook it,
Besides you knew the job was dangerous when you took it (puk ack!)

He will drink his super sauce
And throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin’ (puk, puk, puk)
There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
Call for Super Chicken! (puk, puk, puk)
Call for Super Chicken! (puk ack!)

There is a reason why that’s my main ear-worm but we won’t go into that now.

Chilling??? With the Big Game Every Georgian Much Watch on tonight???

With …

I hate earworms when they’re songs I don’t like.

I heard that three groups of people who are the most plagued by earworms are women, musicians, and neurotic people. Meaning I’m triply screwed.

Damn!

Kansas? Are you really a baker? :dubious:

CANES WIN!!

But why did the orange slay the rake?
