A mile of the MMP

I can’t take codeine.
I get really mean when I take it and itch like crazy when I stop.

I hit the priogie jackpot today. There are supposed to be a dozen in the box, we got 17.

The snow’s stopped and sidewalk’s been shoveled. It was supposed to be around 40 today and it’s still below freezing.

FB is a pain in the ass.

Thank you for the kind welcome. I have been reading and enjoying your posts for a while now. 2016 was a tough year for me and having a few moments each day to enjoy your normal daily mundanities among friends has proven therapeutic. Many thanks for that.

I may stick my nose in again sometime.

Carry on.

**sari **- no snow here and it was upper 30s as I drove home. We’re supposed to get rain overnight and tomorrow night - wonder how much of the snow it will wash away…

My poor sweetie isn’t feeling well, so he’s napping. Supper will be leftovers. I was going to make poke chops and assorted sides, but he prefers soup, so soup he shall have. I did get some butter almond ice cream for dessert - that’s medicinal, right?

40% of the work week down.

You are very welcome.

Do*** NOT ***loan money to Dogbutt or Spiderman.

emily, I can take codeine but it winds up on my shoes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dindin has been ingested and all is well. Not as cold as last night or the last couple of nights. Instead of sweatshirt and sweatpants, I am wearin’ pajama pants, tshirt and my robe. An outfit I would not have to change out of if I had a sudden need or desire to go to Wally*World.

Welcome dawgowned!

**swampy **- what’s on your jammy pants? Cartoon characters? Plaid? Paisley? Tie-dye?? I need to visualize!

My supper was leftover sketties. My sweetie ate some soup, then an hour later, had a bowl of cereal. Ice cream later.

Care Bears, I should imagine.

:dubious:

blurf i stayed home agaim today to besure not to infect my staff. Thess are some long days just doing nothing. I am back to irk tomorrow for real. Still puny though.

MOOOOOOM my jammy pants are black and gray plaid with little red horizontal stripes interspersed. I have solid gray, solid blue, and gray/green/yellow plaid as well. I be stylin’ in jammy pants!

Dammit, they are Care Bears! Pony up!
That sounds like a TV test pattern.
:dubious:

Weather has warmed to simply being rain and yucky. I believe Thursday it is supposed to be near 60 and Friday snow again. I could make do with much less interesting weather.

Thursday (in case I didn’t mention – I’m too lazy tonight to read back) my shift start changes to 4:30 which means not getting out until maybe 9:30 and not getting home until 10. I like some part of it because it leaves me enough time during the day to go fishing and stuff; the OW not so much because it means we won’t get to eat dinner together basically any week day. I will play it all by ear and see what I can do to make it work.

They can’t be used in enclosed spaces, or with wrapped insulation (as I found out after purchasing) but think about heat tapes

Look at the above & think [del]long & hard[/del] for a nanosecond if this is someone you want to be taking advice from. :o

If she’s own by dogs, that would imply slavery, which is ill-eagle. Prehaps she just works for them, & caters to their needs, ummm, kind of like a butler. That’s it, nickname should be dogbutler (& since therealdogbutler goes by doggio, that wouldn’t get confusing or anything.

Oooh, that reminds me, I need to get a cheap pair of boxers for a photo op. They will be used (but not worn) for about an hour or so. I was thinking something with a large pattern, like maybe where the whole front (or back) is a face but they should be timeless, as in not related to a specific holiday or season; when I last went looking, everything was Christmas themed or too small of a pattern to be usable. They will be 10’-15’ from the camera, so details noticed up close won’t be able to be made out in a photograph. I’m thinkin’ Spongebob face, iffn I can find 'em for cheap.

Even by my Pacific Northwest coast standards, the current rain/wind here is impressive.

Got firm with my sup about taking her home. She was going to take the bus, I was NOT happy with the prospect of her waiting at bus stops in a dubious part of town in this garbage.

Feeling better, aside from lingering cough and congestion.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m gonna do laundry after work.

Welcome to the MMP!

Not me. : hums Lola :

We got rain overnight - much of the snow is gone, and with today’s highs getting into the 50s, I expect more will be gone as I go home. I want to run my car thru the carwash to removed the road-clearing crud, but with the wet roads, I expect I’ll just end up with more crud on it anyway. I may do a cheap drive-thru - one pass to get the worst of it. We’ll see how things look this afternoon.

Another bad night of many wakenings and weird dreams. I recall bits of one dream that involved a black kitten then in another, I was inspecting granite aircraft parts… so, yeah, weird night. Like Dan Quayle said, what a shame it is to lose your mind.

**FCD **does jammy pants for lounge-about. His favorite pair is black and red plaid, and I think he has some that are blue and green plaid. Not sure. He just grabs whatever is on the top of the pile, which means as soon as something is washed, he wears it again. I generally just stay in my work clothes till bedtime, but if I want to lounge, I have some comfy sweats. I sleep in a long t-shirt, and I have 3 that I rotate: one with spots, one with cats, and one with owls. I figure if I let them rest between washing and wearage, they’ll last longer. Humor me, OK?

Happy Wednesday!!

Not much sleep happening here last night either. I was revisiting yesterday’s scenario where RT and I were invited to take our dentistry needs elsewhere.* It was a big ugly scene filled with rude and condescending people with very small minds.

Nonetheless, life goes on and I return to school today in this very soggy weather that we’re having.

*As if we had wanted to stay after several months of their ridiculousness anyways…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 57 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy with a predicted high of 73 and partly cloudy for the day. 70s predicted for the next ten days even. Warmish for even here but what with a lot of clean up after last Moanday’s storm, I’m glad for the people who are tryin’ to put their homes/lives back together. Warmish weather should be helpful.

Today Ima go to the Pubic sto’ for provisions. The leftover poke roast shall be turned into bbq sammiches for dindin along with coleslaw (bought from the Pubic sto’ cause they make good slaw) and oven fries. Other than that, who knows what the day holds.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. I shall also purtify so as to see and be seen at the sto’.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Happy Camel Day, mumpers! It’s bright, windy and cold over here with predictions for gale-force winds today and overnight, with the eventual possibility of SNOWMAGEDDON! Of course, this is the UK where the merest hint of snow in the air brings the entire country to a grinding halt so I remain unimpressed at the idea.

I am having the usual irksome day at irk, I wrote up a bunch of stuff from our team meeting on Monday so now I need to send that round so I can start writing up notes from a meeting yesterday before another meeting this afternoon that will generate another bunch of notes. I have a load of other irky things to do but can’t get onto them because of the perishing notes.

Last night I had a session with my PT at the gym. She’s lovely but I swear she was trying to do me in last night. In between deadlifts and suicide sprints, I finished up properly knackered. Went home, had a protein shake and a cup of tea, then crawled upstairs for a shower before bed.

My cough still persists, apparently it’s all down to the virus that eventually causes pneumonia but isn’t treatable with anti-biotics. Just as well, since I is allergical to penicillin (vastly unpleasant results) so only get the weaker versions of stuff which takes longer to do any good. I shall medicate in the pub tonight instead.
