It’s a dreary 40 degrees here. Supposed to be clear and 59 tomorrow so that will be grocery shopping day.
Snow predicted for Saturday, the back up into the high 40s.
A dam Cat caught a mouse last night and let it go. I was awake, sitting up, and not amused when the mouse ran past my bare feet and the cat ran over them.
I guess his mother never told him not to play with his food.
BooFae, PT is evil. Oh sure, it helps you feel better eventually, but everything before that is just pain and suffering. I recall thinking my therapist was trying to drive her thumbs through my kneecaps.
Warmish (over 40!) but rainy here today. Just a gray, blah day. Tonight I have to get to work on a project I shouldn’t have volunteered for, and I’ll spend much of my weekend working on a writing project I’m not looking forward to, but am expected to get done. Wah.
Dishwasher isn’t draining, garbage disposal’s broken, but I got my shower unfrozed, so at least I’m clean, even if the kitchen isn’t.
I think the interview went okay yesterday … I can never tell. I effing hate interviews. No, I don’t want to tell you about a time I worked well under pressure, thanks. Nor do I want to display my “weaknesses” for whomever might be listening. You’re supposed to keep those to yourself, or your enemies will take advantage of them.
Drae, in my case PT is personal trainer rather than physical terrorist! Even worse because it means I volunteered for it and I’m paying for the privilege
I used to tel, people that despite my bloodline I have never been so drunk that I got a tattoo; now I usually say I’ve never been so drunk that advice from Flytrap sounded good.
Other than that am working on some laundry. One thing working for Da Jungle has done is rotate my clothing more; I just don’t get a second day out of anything I wear to work.
Lunch break!!! And I do need it today. I’ve got a particularly challenging part to draw and many bad words have been said.
When I went to the kitchen to warm my soup, I noticed the sun was shining - YAY! That bodes well for a drive thru the car wash on the way home. How sad is it that that’s my big excitement for the day??
Howdy Y’all! Today I have accomplished grocery shoppin’ and have cleaned both fridges. Go Me! Also, I shredded the leftover poke roast for bbq. I did go sit out by the cee-mint pond and read for a while cause it’s nice enough out to do so. I even used sun screen on my face and arms. Have I mentioned that I like bein’ retired?
BooFae, the snow situation in the UK sounds a lot like Tennessee.
This time of year, I wear jammie pants for loungewear. The current rotation is a pair of aqua/purple plaid, light blue with monkeys and red with snowflakes. That is until gym shorts season.
I have been having Excel issues on the irk puter, so IT sat down with it today. Now, after three MSOffice changes, I still can’t use our departmental database. I’m working from another cube and between setting up my profile and the printers on that one and the time wasted this morning, I’m just now beginning to be productive. Friday is when things will likely be repaired.
The car goes in for an oil change Friday. If it isn’t raining, Toyota will wash it for me. I need to call the stylist this evening to set up an appointment next week. I’m getting shaggy.
I’ve reached out to a couple of local Chihuahua rescues to start dog shopping. I’m thinking an adult pooch who needs a person.
Red, good luck on the puppy search, just remember the pictures for us MMPers.
Provisioning complete, hair trimmed, and the monthly 5 Guys visit has added many calories to my frame (which is why I only go once a month; I consider their French Fries an addictive substance). Also stopped at the Dollar Tree store (just killing time till the noon lunch crowd thinned out) and picked up six big glass beer steins (and I mean BIG: we’re talking Octoberfest in Germany big) for $1 each. Don’t really have a use or a place for them, but hey, beer steins!
Will devote the afternoon to thinking about cleaning my house and instead reading Book 10 of my annual re-read of the entire Schlock: Mercenary web-cartoon (#10 is The Longshoreman of the Apocalypse…my favorite).
We got a couple inches of snow here overnight. We’re a lot better off than the people up in Portland. They got 9" - 11" according to the TV. It’s been Snowpocaplypse all day on the local channels. I/we were kinda sorta thinking of firing up Moby, (the Suburban), and going to one or more of the local stores. We shall see.
Wifey was having trouble with her printer at the office last week. It’s one of those with 4 different ink cartridges and wasn’t printing yellow and part of the black was skipping. So she bought a new printer, a HP all-in-one type. Now she’s having trouble with it.
I brought the old printer home and was messing with it 'cause it and the home printer are both Epson workforce printers. I wanted to see if I could scavenge the ink cartridges out of it. Anyway, I ran the head cleaning program about a dozen times and now it prints just fine. So now I have two Epson workforce printers at home for me to print recipes off of the innerwebz with. :dubious:
Well, I need to get sheveled and dressed to go fill up the bird feeders.
Early dindin has been ingested. We was hungry! In a little while I shall head over to the church house for Evening Prayer. Still really nice out. All is good.
I got a message from **Butters **on FB - she’s unable to log in here! I reported one of my posts and used it to inform TPTB of her dilemma. Poor Butters…
Supper was poke chops, N.O.T.-n-onions, and steamed broccoli. Then I got on line with my mom and helped her with some email issues she was having. **FCD **did the dishes. We are now in chill mode.
I worked, I came home. Making smoked paprika chicken with yellow rice and green beans with peppers and Spanish style hot sauce. I lounge in my work clothes, unlees I have to change colors to support my sports teams.
metal mouse, I know the rules about critters and pics.
doggio, will that make Gordie the weird cousin in NC?
I tried to create a password for my dental website. It would be nice if they would state the rules up front instead of kicking them out for a different reason each time. It only took half an hour. :dubious:
Howdy Y’all! Home from Evening Prayer over to the church house. ‘Twas nice. flytrap the custom is to have some type of mid-week religious service. Whiskypalians do it all kinds of ways. It could be in the evenin’, it could be in the mornin’, it could be at noon. Then again it might not be at all. St. Pat’s chooses to do a Wednesday evenin’ thing.
