Thanks, Swampy…it’s not been all bad, the fridge (and the insulin!) got replaced right away, and I like my new NP, and got the meds I needed. Truthfully, the only thing I’m really worried about now is my Daddy. Prayers for him would be appreciated. Why don’t you make a bread pudding for tonight? Much easier than pie, and almost as tasty, especially with ice cream!
The dentist ground and polished my chipped tooth - yay! I cleaned the pellet stove and vacuumed the family room. Yay! We’re going out for Chinese for supper. Yay! I think that’s a pretty good way to end the day.
Now, to brace myself for Firday the 13th!!! :eek:

Moooom Friday the 13th is a good because my mom was born on a Friday the 13th (different month, but still). Our family has always called them our lucky days.

Back from not-too-bad Chinese place. I got the cashew chicken, forgetting that it’s mostly celery, ick. But the egg roll and rice and wonton soup filled me, so there’s that. It’s still nice and mild out, but I know it won’t last.

Bah humbug. I just got a rather large bill from my doctor. It was for a checkup that they wanted me to come in for and my insurance said it’s not covered. Tomorrow I will be making some phone calls.

I took full advantage of the good weather & that along with the other, indoor activities expect to be a sore puppy tomorrow given my out-of-shapeness.*
When I got home, at 9:30pm, it was warmer outside than in the garage. That is not normal for a January evening. Saturday’s high is predicted to be ½ of the 61° it was when I got home. :smack:

Trying to stay at irritation stage instead of progressing to freak-out. DH had planned to come get me from irk, got a flat tire. I didn’t think he’d be able to get that fixed tonight, which would cost him a nice temp gig we’re counting on to do things like pay for the car. Judging by the tracker app on our phones, he did find a tire source, so there may be hope. I’m a bit scared to type that, as frequently as hope can get me a figurative kick in the teeth.
Dinner so far has been leftover pizza and white chocolate cocoa with a little peppermint syrup.
Teams have 2.5 hours to take a sheep, shear it, and create a finished shawl. You can pre-warp your loom but other than that its all done there.

So anyway work started the new time of 4:30 today. Even though we’re just talking an hour difference, 95% of the people seemed a little thrown by it all. Not really at the top of our game. Hopefully by next week we’ll all be adjusted.
I am vastly disappointed by the lack of snowmageddon this morning, so I have had to come to irk after all. We must have had just enough to cover the car, but not all of the pavement and it was melting already by the time I left the house. I expect other parts of the country have had proper snow, but here in the Wet Midlands, we seem to have missed most of it. With any luck, we won’t get any more, especially since 'im indoors has to get back home tonight from darn sarf.
