A mile of the MMP

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Hockey tailgating after work.

Teams have 2.5 hours to take a sheep, shear it, and create a finished shawl. You can pre-warp your loom but other than that its all done there.

This years winning team was inspired by beer.

Beer. Is there anything it can’t do?

They had thundersnow in Scotland(one of my hockey friends posted a pic).

Glad ya made it back, Butters! Them damned Russians must have hacked your account…

TGIF! It’s a loverly mild morning, but temps are supposed to drop thru the day. I may regret not bringing something more than a cardigan, but it’s a short walk from the door here to my car, and at home I park in the garage, so I probably won’t freeze to death.

Happy Firday!!

Got up way too late this morning. Maybe it’s my body trying to fight this damn infection or whatever is causing my cough.
Got quite a bit planned for today. I hope I can get it all done.

It is close to nature’s perfect food; maybe second after vodka.
Up and getting ready to head out shopping. One of the stops is Harbor Freight and I’m going in alone. Which could be dangerous. Very dangerous.

Morning all! Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts for my Daddy. He was better and I got to talk to him last night. My uncle isn’t doing very well. So the same would be appreciated for him. I am in the doctor’s orifice waiting to go bleed and then home to do prep day chores. Fun fun!
Welcome back Butters! hugs

It’s been a busy morning. Still gotta be productive till lunch. My first 5-day week in a month is kicking my butt!!!

Take your parole officer with you.

Happy Firday the 13th!

It’s a N.O.S. day here, but the chill is coming back.
We’re supposed to have snow tomorrow, and then back up into the 50s next week.

We got groceries yesterday and have a good stock of N.O.TP. on hand, so we are ready for what ever the weather wants to throw at us.

Howdy Y’all! This has not been a good day ‘puter wise for da bear. Mine has decided to be FUBAR. I have an old one that I’ll hook up eventually until I can figure out what’s wrong with this less than a month old one. I just don’t feel like foolin’ with it anymore right now so I am at the liberry. We shall dine at GC this evenin’ as both a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for fried chikin and a coupon are involved. I was a bear who does N.O.L. today. Panera opened up here recently. I have to say that the food was pretty good and not as expensive as I thought it would be. I was afraid I’d be in for payin’ for an over priced sammich but was pleasantly surprised.

Pearl glad your dad is better. Good thoughts and prayers headed out for your uncle.

Oh and right now ‘tis 74 Amurrkin out, mostly N.O.S. and really, really nice. I am wearin’ a short sleeved pullover shirt matter of fact. Plus jeans, and shoes. Socks and undies as well in case y’all were wonderin’.

Thanks Swampy… missed ya this AM!

Everybody come play in my thread!! It’ll be fun! I promise!!

This sounds very cool! I used to weave. Even carded wool, and made my own yarn. So, so cool.

A wonderful brew indeed

When my folks were in Anchorage, they were in a thunder-snow-storm.

Swampy I was gonna shake my fist at ya for the 74 degrees Amurkin, but I’m sorry to hear about your 'puter. Hope all is better soon.

Butters glad you’re back!

Pearl {{{hugs}}} for you, dad, and uncle. Hope everyone gets to feeling better.

Here in the temperate (hoo, hoo, ha, ha) Northwest. The morning temps were in the twenties, and the high will approach 32. 'Beamer deigned to actually wear long pants instead of shorts. I think in the next day or so we will go back to normal weather for Winter, which is drumroll rain and higher temps. We’re known for it. Stories are told and songs are song. We’ll see. This has been a strange winter. Still have ice and snow around my house.

Other than that, nothing much going on. Stuff do to that I don’t wanna. Some lady rob-calling me to sell me solar panels for the house in California (which had solar panels, and which I don’t have any more any way). This is why I don’t answer the phone.

Happy Firday everyone.

I heard my boss toss a line from Office Space at my baby coworker and he didn’t get it.

This younger generation… I swear!!!

Posting from the East Lot ar the arena. It’s 74 degrees, y’all come out and tailgate.*

Pearl, glad Dad is better.

Ruble, I prefer rum or tequila (it makes her clothes fall off  )

[SUB][sub]*BYOB [/sub][/sub]

Howdy Y’all from my old 'puter. The new ‘puter is indeed FUBAR and I am awaitin’ instruction as to how to deal with the dang thing. I ordered it from Dell (yeah, yeah, I know) and my inclination is to ship it back and say gimme a new one. Oh well, since I no longer irk, I must rely on sump’n else for my RDA*

Maybe you need to practice your aim.

  • Recommended Daily Aggravation

Gold?

Lamé?

Thong?

Y’all enjoy your brain bleachings. :o

Went to the art museum today and saw lotsa pitchers.

Well I’ve had my daily aggravation, recommended or not.
Went to let the dogs out the back door this morning and the door wouldn’t open. knob wouldn’t turn no matter what I did to the lock. grabbed my key ring and went out the slider in the bedroom, along with the dogs, and tried to unlock it from the outside. Key would turn, but the knob would not unlock. In fact, almost all of the keys on my key ring would turn the lock, :dubious: but not unlock the lock. Decided I needed a new lock.
Planned out a road trip. When I leave the house I try to think of all the stops I could make along the way. Multi-tasker, I am. I finally got back with a new lock set, three bags of assorted food and other stuffs, and a prescription.
Unscrewed the screws and took the knob off and started poking and prodding at the mechanism. The striker still wouldn’t retract, but part of the innerds did fall out.
Finally a screwdriver and a hammer applied to just the right thingamajig got the striker to move enough to open the door.
It took about 20 minutes to get the old lock set out and about 5 minuted to put the new one in and test it. It works fine.

Ah, the joys of owning a 120-year-old-house. If something ain’t broke, look again. you’ll find sumpin’.

How new is your new 'puter Swampy? is it still under warranty? If it is, send it back! A gentleman of leisure such as yourself shouldn’t have to put up with uppity computers!

You must be feeling better, Em, do you feel all cultured now?

Dinner tonight will be bacon and pineapple sausages with steamed cabbage. we figger the gas will keep us warm.

Insert pithy sig here:

spidey, flytrap, and ruble perfer to drink a lot of pitchers, IMHO.

Actually made some progress on the toilet bowl front, used “Sno-Bowl” (THICK formula!) and that got about 75-80% gone, will apply it again tomorrow and see if I can up that to over 90%.

Worked out my lineup for Saturday’s indoor soccer, 9 players to shuttle in and out, trying to give them all maximum time in a lot of different positions. Then referee a couple of other games, just to keep me busy.

Beginning to get the dreaded tax forms, several forms are not available until the end of the month, with this year divided between work and retirement it will be interesting to see how the numbers come out.

And that’s about as exciting as things get on this Firday. All y’all be having a good weekend now.

Still sick, but it’s not so bad that I can’t go around and do a few things. Trying not to overexert myself though.
