A Murderously Fun MMP

Edited late: NO baked offerings to make.

Quickly Written Missive, holy kee-rap! Glad you’re here, functioning and with us.

oink oink
Today I’ve had: my usual Nutri-system cereal, my late morning 1 egg w/swiss cheese (way too early), half of my mega sized coffee - PLUS a toasted buttered mini bagel, some tuna salad, a slice of salad pizza, a pint of tortolini en brodo (italian won-ton soup), some italian bread, and a slice of strawberry shortcake brought in or co-worker’s birthday. And it’s not even 2pm
>>blurp<<

doggio, YES!. . .thanks. I knew that I wasn’t the only one with their mind in the gutter. I bet others saw it that way too but they’re trying to pretend they’re sophisticated or something.

Since the banner ad on the bottom of the page currently is “undo circumcision damage”, I think it tripped a few key words too.

**
BooFae**, glad they found that explosive package before it exploded.
**
Scribbles**, add me on to the pile that was amazed by your story. And wow, a bottomless vest pocket. . . way cool. Can you pull me out something that doesn’t have chocolate in it? I’m allergic.
**
Mork**, I thought everyone bagged their bugs. If you open the door to shoo them out, don’t more come in that way? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a semi-serious question for y’all. If you disagree with one of the Cool Kids in the Pit, can you pound on them. . . just as you would anyone else in the Pit? It hasn’t happened for me yet. Just preparing.

And now for the oxymorons of the day. I borrowed a book from the library called oxymoronica by Dr. Mardy Grothe, but I have to return it today, so I thought I’d share some before it goes back.

**Heff-a-Roo ** - if you really disagree with something stated in a Pit thread, regardless of who said it, go ahead and post so. BUT remember that person has as much right to their misguided, uneducated, ridiculously stupid opinion as you do to your correct one

Scribbles, I am so sorry about your girlfriend, and so very, very glad you’re alive and okay. Wow.

Back from laundry, thinking about baking and picking up boxes. Where’s the chocolate peanut butter brownie recipe? What page? I might make them.

Yes, I am feeling better. It’s great! I might make cupcakes for the Harry Potter day at work, too.

I try not to pound too much on anyone these days, but I would actually go a little easier on a Cool Kid. But that’s just me.

Man, it is just pouring rain outside. Bleh…

The pork is in the slow cooker and around 5:00 or 6:00 pm we shall be feasting on pulled pork sammiches with coleslaw. It should be yummy.

It’s a very simple recipe. Just mix some dry mustard, seasonings, ketchup, brown sugar, and cider vinegar together. Put some onion in the bottom of the crockpot, rub the pork with some other seasonings (I use a BBQ seasoning), put the roast on top of the onions, and pour the cider vinegar, etc mix over the top of the roast. Cook it on low for eight hours or high for four. Pull the pork out when cooking is done, shred the pork with a couple of forks, dump it all back in the slow cooker and mix it all up with the sauce in the slow cooker.

Make some coleslaw. Get some good rolls. Scoop out some pulled pork and put it on one side of the roll, put a slice of good cheddar cheese on that (purely optional, I like it), put some coleslaw on top of that, put the other roll half on top. I put BBQ sauce in a bowl in case some people want that (Sweet Baby Ray’s) too. I like it better without the sauce.

Well, back to cruising the net.

Oh, and Scribbles, about your quotes:

that Dalai Lama one reminds me of one I know:

That sad-eyed girl you see may not have had her heart broken. She may have got him.
35 minutes until I leave!

3 and a half hours left today. Wheee!
Damn 10 hour days. I’m hungry.

there’s one piece of strawberry shortcake left - no one has claimed it and I want it
but if I ask for it, I’ll reveal myself forthe piggy that I am - so I will wait til 4pm - if it’s still unclaimed, it’s MINE!

I’ve got pumpkin chocolate chip bread and strawberry nut bread without the nuts. :stuck_out_tongue:

Does **anyone ** do you have any suggestions on a good planner? I need one. A smaller-ish one that I can carry around with me and is kinda cute/fun. I really like these pages:

Inside Pages

But I don’t like the outside of the planner. :frowning:

Outside of planner

I’m seriously considering making my own if I can’t find something soon.

Thanks in advance.

Piggy!!

LiLi, BusDude, Taters & Dotty: Thank you for responding, It was a hard thing, but I am muuuuch better now.

Mika, Hahahaha neat quote.

Roo, Thanks for your kind thoughts.

I designed the bottomless-vest-pocket[sup]TM[/sup] many years ago for Easy Golightly, a character I used fantasyroleplaying. It came in so handy that I kept an entire vest-of-holding[sup]TM[/sup] for m’self. So,

::rumaging around::

Hows about a nice selection of your favorite donuts and java…

BTW: really enjoyed the oxymoronica!
HSM

nah - someone claimed it

Wow, who knew a thread about buying a purse could get so heated?

Someone thought I was taking a jab at her, I wasn’t. Not my style; I don’t like confrontation. I tried clearing it up, but don’t know if she’ll see it or not.

I’m eating a large, gooey chocolate chip cookie. Envy me.

Agreed. You can argue with someone (well most people) and not let it get to the point where it’s personal. But just be ready for them to not change their mind.

I’ve never been Pitted.

But then, I’ve never been wrong.

I was wrong, once. A few years ago I’d admitted to being mistaken about something or other, but I was wrong. …

It’s so pretty here that even though Alice is suggesting it’s really a teensy bit too warm for it, I’ve opened up the windows. The humidity is low and there’s a nice breeze; what’s not to like? (Well, the sun beating in her window, obviously – but hey, it’ll be down behind the fence right next to her window in the next half hour or so!)

I’m trying very hard to avoid eating a large bowl of ice cream right now. What? I don’t have any cookies or brownies, but ice cream I got lots of. But I don’t want to spoil my appetite for supper. Plus I’d have a really hard time justifying my evening bowl of ice cream to myself if I eat some now. Especially since it’s Turkey Hill Fried Ice Cream – Papa Tigs found more of it on sale, yippee! Man, that stuff is good. It’s a good thing they don’t make it all the time or I’d probably weigh 5,000 pounds by this time next year.

Back to knitting. Or something.
Thus far my day has been 100% nonproductive. Unless you call moving into the next pattern section of my beautiful lace shawl productive. Which, actually, it probably is since I’ve successfully navigated the first couple of pattern rows, so it should be knock wood fairly smooth sailing from here. At least for the next 40 rows or so. Then, of course, I move on to yet another pattern section.

Rusty the Idiot is an even bigger idiot than usual. He was taking a nice nap, and he woke himself up apparently from a bad dream and lay there shivering like there was a thunderstorm going on for several minutes! Stoopid dog, scaring himself with his own dreams.

The dog is walking around the apartment, randomly barking. I guess someone got into the tequila a little early today. Everyone showed up for work, and it was cloudy enough that I could breath today. Apparently we are going to have to retire the phrase “18 wheeler” The truck today had super single tire on the trailer. Ten wheelers anyone?

Scribbles, I’m glad you survived.

Roo, those ads remind me of Jack Dean Tyler.

[del]MBG, I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.[/del] On preview, Rosie stole my thunder.
