A Mysterious Mowing MMP

Yea! We got our mortgage modification! The down side is, we have to pay our mortgage payments again.:smack: (They haven’t accepted them for several months, not since we started the process.) We have to pay two before Aug 1st. We paid one today and the other next payday.

It will be tight this month, but we’ll live.

We may bounce a check to the drywaller that just finished our repair from the flood, but I called him to tell him today and he’s ok with it. We’ll pay any penalties he has.

In other news, I started water aerobics 3 weeks ago, and surprise! I’ve lost 10 lbs! I can’t believe it. Of course, I have another 100 or so to go, but every journey starts with the first step.
You guys need to encourage me. Even, kick me in the butt now and then to keep me moving ahead.

Swampy, goats; they let goats eat the grass in the night. Dam*, i just noticed Bumbazine beat me to it.

In OTHER other news, our front porch light fell off the house this morning. Don’t kwon how or why, just that it’s hanging by electrical wires 3 feet above the front door. Hubby has a chore to to when he gets up from his nap.

Have you ever had beer can chicken? You take a whole chicky, open a can of beer, drink or pour out an inch or so, then stand the chick with the beer can up it’s butt in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° F until its tender. Yummmmmy

Home and relatively happy for a Monday. Al and others were properly impressed with the shrine! I told him I was going for subtle.

And we got our mortgage payment book in the mail, which included info on how to set up direct debit, so yay! Our mortgage will be extracted from our account on the 5th of the month, which is good because my pension should be deposited on the 1st - but this will allow a cushion just in case.

There was an accident on the Nice Bridge which would have kept me sitting on 301, but it had been cleared by the time I left work and I only sat a few minutes before traffic started moving. Slowly, but moving.

I have harvested a buttload of 'maters - I’m thinking it’s time to make more 'mater sauce - I may start up a batch tonight. And I think we’ll have salmon for supper. I’d love a roasted chicken, but it’s too doggone hot to turn on the oven. Triple digits by the end of the week. Ick.

Did I claim Aug 1? Because as my first day retired, I would like to start the MMP that day.

I hearby decree that August 1st belongs to MOOOOOOM. Ok, that just means we know who’ll do the MMP that day. Or sump’n.

picu I do indeed like beer butt chikin. What? That’s what we call it. I do it on the grill. I have this precious little stand that’s just right for doin’ beer butt chikin on the grill. Yay on the weight loss. Now you just keep up those water aerobics young lady! Don’t give me that look! March right in that pool and ummm… aerobicize!

Bumba and picu that’s it! Stealth ninja night goats! The only logical answer.

I’s hongry! I hear some cheese crackers callin’ my name.

Stealth Ninja Night Goats would make an excellent band name.

**FCD **not home yet - no idea what to do about supper. Honestly, I’m not hungry.

Out of morbid curiosity, I googled almost-ex-SIL - apparently he’s moving to Tennessee. Is that where his new love is going to support him? Or is it evil of me to consider such a thing?? hehehe

I forgot to mention earlier - we got a check for the escrow that was in our old mortgage account - over $2K! It’s going into the bank against paying off the car and van. Yay!!

Heh, Moommmmmmmmmmmm, I was going to volunteer you for that date. Glad you volunteered on your own. Will update my sig momentarily.

Feel better, LiLi.

I like the ninja goat solution or the blade-by-blade possibility that lieu suggested.

It’s very dark out right now (it’s 7:30 p.m. and doesn’t normally get dark till around 9). I think the promised thunderboomers must be on their way.

So I guess I’ll unplug and go do something else…

Hugs.

I say Stealth Ninja Night Goats should be the official MMP band. Who’s up for playin’ lead guitar?

Home from men’s night at the church house. 'Twas wunnerful as usual. We had chunky sallit, steamed green beans, bizkits and steak except one person had grilled chikin and one person had a grilled poke chop. Rebels, those two!

I kinda liked lieu’s sweepin’ laser beam cause the yahd is flat, this bein’ south Jawja and all. However, stealth ninja night goats, well, hey, what could be cooler than that!

Da bear needs to go lie upon the bed and watch teevee for a bit before sleepy time because, well, tomorrow is irk, alas.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Made Jambalaya for dinner tonight. Went old school and put in chicken, shrimp AND andouillie sausage. Nom!

Howdy all. Spaz, love the description of your day straight from the dirty toilet in hell or something like that. i would love to hear about it.

went to irk as usual, got a call from colleague and bff that her cat had died and she was out of beer. I thought about it for about 5 minutes, packed up myself and the dog…yes, Lucky Louie goes to work sometimes and went to package store got beer for her and went to her house to help dig hole. hole was dug when i arrived. i did alert our boss that she needed me. he said do what you need to do. i was out an hour and half so had to work late to make up. well, did not have to but did.

my friend was so distraught. this kitty was 17 yoa. poor Pooper Johnson, RIP.

have a good week all. feel better soon Lili and others’ with ailments.

glad monday is over. if anyone wonders why i don’t use caps except sometimes it is because my stoopid cat ate the keys off the left side of my keyboard and i am just damn lazy. hope ya’ll don’t mind.

gotti, that saw sounds amazing, although I don’t know what I’d do with it, I still have a little bit of heteroman in me that yells “power tools!”

swampy, I have several musical instruments I play in a local band, but I don’t think that we would need any of them for a real band. Xylophone? Recorder? Hand bells? [del]trumpet[/del], that was kind of a tragedy. Concertina is here too, if we only play in C and F. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 71 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 94. I do believe it’s Summer!

donkeybear I say the band needs a xylophone. I say we all bring whatever it is we play be it xylophone, bass guitar, kazoo whatever! That’s how Stealth Ninja Night Goats roll!

Hugs, gropes, noogies, kisses, yays, boos, how you doin’s all around as needed.

Now I shall go seek more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Blurf.

'Tis 76 Amurrkin, with a projected high of 94 and afternoon thunderboomers.

humidity at way too high levels - hurt - lots of hurt - blurf

Morning. I took the dog for a 100 yard walk and the mosquitos nearly carried me away. They are worse than I’ve ever seen them.

Have a good day all.

You know you’ve arrived in the world when you’ve got a few of these. Reminds me of my favorite commercial, the analgesic one where the home remedy lady is trying to get her goat to cry. She (1) cuts onions in front of it, (2) sneaks up on it wearing a scary mask, and (3) takes it to a gravestone and says “This was your momma.” Made me cry too, but with the good tears.

I wanna be in the band! Since it’s a virtual band, I don’t need to know how to play an instrument, right? I wanna be the rockin’ bass player.

I took Dad to the ear doctor yesterday. Poor thing - it wasn’t too much wax. It’s just that his hearing has deteriorated even more. Hopefully he’ll be able to get a better hearing aid. The doc said the one he has is not the best available.

Big rain storm coming in! Woo and hoo! We need a good drenching.

Back to irk. Blech.

Rosie’s sig to all!

Good morning all! Sorry that I missed posting yesterday but my daughter and I were out and about Albuquerque early and didn’t get back until nearly 4 PM, by which time I was wrung out. Let me tell you, HOT is HOT, even if the humidity is low! Just means that it isn’t quite as uncomfortable.

As we make our way around Duke City (an interesting nickname for Albuquerque, I’ve found out, although have to research where it comes from!), we are finding it is chock full of shopping centers and malls, both large and small! We don’t have a car, so the exploring is being done via public transit, i.e. bus. The bus system here is fairly good, for a western city but everything is pretty much centered on getting around in a car. What is really aggravating is that some of the services that poorer people most need to use are nearly inaccessible without a car! Or it’s a LONG walk from a bus stop. Ah well, it’s good exploring, though, but the city is also very large and spread out. There are plenty of places we haven’t been yet, and we haven’t found a church yet either - I really don’t know where to start with looking for that!

This will be a busy week - we’ve got stuff coming in tomorrow and need to prepare for it. Friday afternoon, our apartment complex is having a potluck lunch and a moon bounce for young kids; we’re thinking of making Tollhouse cookies but also maybe some pork shoulder barbeque.

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!

What an awesome username/post combo, but I imagine with that username that it happens regularly.

Good morning everyone. I’m here; but just.

We’ve had 78 whole minutes of summer so far. I’m not kidding, there was a news story about it on one our local news stations. Here’s the link:

I should dig into my ever growing pile of work.
