A new Finish the Western coming in a couple weeks

I liked the part about Charley feeling annoyance at how Sally is looking at Danny like she used to look at Charley. Always hard for a father to see his little girl acting like a grownup.

I know I probably made a lot of errors in describing a trial, in my latest post, but as long as it was I had to do a lot of condensing! I hope that the murders Tuttle committed come out, but it’s that nasty Nichols that* really* makes my blood boil! I hope he burns.

The way you guys have fleshed out the Nichols character, I almost hate to lose him. Maybe he can be another Vader, like Tag?

Or, someone can shoot him as he leaves town.

Ooh! Maybe the Military will take over, since the current trial may get shut down. Really make it the USA v Nichols…

What do you guys think?

Thanks, now I don’t need to find this thread.

Ivy, Yuri’s last name is Shostakovich, after the composer.

Or before the composer, rather. He won’t be born for about another six years.

Anything except redemption. How about “shot while trying to escape”? Can you tell I think Nichols is nasty?

He may have outsmarted himself, though, maybe his papers are out of date, or there’s further legal change he didn’t know about.

Crap. Completely missed that. Okay, fix the boo-boo as you see fit. Maybe Andropov is his middle name.

I think for his middle name, it would have to be Andropovich.

So, , you gonna add a chapter?

OK, I see just a teeny bit of a timing issue, with Lute and NCB’s latest posts. But that can be cleared up easily enough. I’m just going to assume Lute and NCB’s latest posts were more intermingled in their timing, because Zeke’s revelation would have to come before Nichol’s and Tuttle are taken away.

BTW, I know of a soldier who was in Andersonville, my great-great grandfather Connell. Too bad that name was already used for the bad guy in FTWI!

'Tis but a small continuity error. Assume the two posts have been melded together in editing and go from there.

I see a very happy (sappy happy?) ending in store for this episode.

Hey, I like sappy happy endings, can’t you tell?

Guess I was so inspired that I didn’t bother to scroll down after reading Baker’s post.

Or maybe it really did take me half an hour to figure out what to say. Don’t really remember.

Well, guys, I think we need to get this thing wrapped up. I fear with work and real life we’ve let Anderson’s Gulch fall by the wayside, and I hate to let our third installment end with a whimper instead of a bang.

I think I’ve set things up for a nice revelation, if someone wants to run with it. And just so you know, I have no idea what’s in Colonel Morse’s bag, so feel free to fill in with an idea.

I’ve enjoyed our murder mystery!

Oooh, that’s a good one, ivylass, really good!!! I just read it, and now I have to go and comtemplate a post. I could have sworn Brown was a good guy, but then I was wrong about Lucy too, way back in FTWII. :stuck_out_tongue: You did a good one again!

Baker, I think you made a boo-boo.

It was Colonel Morse who told Zeke about his father, and Captain Brown, who he hadn’t met before, who suddenly appeared to take custody of Tuttle and Nichols.

Can you fix it?

Oh s**t! Let me go back and look at it, then I will post shortly with a revamp.

@#$%^&* Did I ever screw up.

Don’t fret. I still haven’t forgiven myself for the Rushan caravan/cave mixup!

OK, I looked over that post, revised it, and reposted. I sure hope it works this time!
