A new Finish the Western coming in a couple weeks

Well, he is named after Will Anderson.

From the second story, we know that the brothers had been in Philadelphia; Broad & Lombard is an actual Philly streetcorner.

Will Santini most likely paid a visit to Jake Anderson and heard the story of the missing heir from him.

Answered.

Perhaps the missing heir can finally out the Tuttle conspiracy. A Nichols connection? Too many coincidents to be explain without some sort of tie in. I like the addition of a minor character from a past story being part of the possible key.

In my latest post in the thread I made an error. Will Anderson should have referred to Zeke as his great-nephew, not his nephew.

Nichols and Yuri are both in custody.

Judge Cotton should be on his way.

Where is Doc?

I hate to say it, but I think I know where Doc is.

Great. Now Anderson’s Gulch, after suffering murder, kidnapping, and a tornado, needs a new doctor! Cripes!

Oh, and about my post. Never fear. Our dear Graziella will be more than a match for the randy Alfred. In fact, having him knocked out cold (with an appropriate rifling through his pockets) may just turn up some incriminating information.

If Tuttle has on his mind what I think he does, well, Graziella is in there preparing supper, and I imagine she keeps the knives sharp.

Okay, I think we’re getting to the climax. How does this sound?
JB and his friends cut down the bridge to frame Jesse, because he’s jealous over Belle. They’ve gotten clean away, and maybe Knight will go after them.

Nichols and Tuttle are involved in all sorts of nefarious schemes. The pedophilia ring is a cover to move large amounts of fake currency. Dexter, being a traveling West show, was blackmailed into helping to move the counterfeits. The hold that Nichols has over Dexter is that Dexter was one of his victims way back when, and Nichols has been holding the shame over Dexter ever since. That’s how Nichols got Dexter to hire May, so he could keep an eye on her.

All that Nichols knew is that the treasury plates were under the floor in the mercantile store. Imagine his surprise when he realized that there were two mercantile stores in town! He got Yuri to sabotage May’s bow so she would kill Hastings. Yuri left the note for MacLeod, realizing that killing both mercantile owners would be suspicious, so he needed to throw the law off the scent. Nichols stabbed Goldstone with the arrow, but was unable to look for the plates, since only Tuttle knew where they were, “under the floor of the mercantile.”
Did I miss anything? Does anything need to be reworked?

Few minor points:

We need to clear up how Mose knew that the Indian signs left by Tuttle were fake, and what the missing Anderson heir will do, and the competency hearing for Martha.

That sounds good to me.

Those last two words, hope for", in my latest post are a typo, and should not be really there.

I have an idea for that. They were indeed “Indian” symbols but Tuttle had the wrong country.

Well then** Lute**, write it!

I would but I haven’t been completely “here” latetly. Last friday morning, my neck was virtually immobile and I went to the emergency room. Turns out it was a severe muscle spasm and I’ve been on a combination of pain relievers and a muscle relaxant since then. I’ve discovered that two Darvocet combined with a Soma results in a feeling one might equate with falling down drunk without the hangover.

OMG, I’m sorry to hear that! Take care of yourself, you hear? Come back to us when you can, but let the meds do their work.

The Mods did this to him!?!?!

Why, I ought ta…

About the indian/Indian signs. That’s a good idea. Or, they could be a total non sequitur. Like if we wrote"Pink is the cow of haughty seven." Or an old kid’s game/story/whatever.

I’m leaning towards the diff country idea now that I’m aware of it. I’m having trouble remembering how Mose talks, tho.

I don’t think he has any special way he talks, in terms of dialect or accent, that I remember. The only impression I get is that he avoids vulgarity. In the second story, when Belle was suffering from hypothermia, Mose asked Jesse “if he minded speaking about husbands and wives.” Mose was going to suggest shared bodily warmth, but he wanted to broach the subject nicely.

And when he found Sally and Danny in the barn, he didn’t say “at least you haven’t been screwing” he said “at least you still have your clothes on.”

Not a high falutin’ gentleman, but definitely gentlemanly.

I was thinking of symbols from Central/South America or maybe even India/Hindu in origin.

I’m not that bad now, I’ve used up the Darvocet and my Soma is about gone. That leaves me with some Voltaren and a bit of Flexeril from an earlier problem. I’m still not feeling particularly creative; my idea is from when Mose said the symbols didn’t mean anything.

MacTavish is heading toward the Gulch, loaded for bear.

I would imagine, after a couple more days, after Cotton arrives, he’ll be heading back to Solace with a new schoolmarm in tow.

Good one, ivylass! I was wondering when the Solace sheriff would lose patience!

BTW, did you see the sea story is still up and running? Always a place for you!
