Thank Og tomorrow is Friday!! I’ve been waiting all week for it. 
I haven’t posted much this week cause I’ve been busy at work - although I can’t access SDMB from work. But I have been tahred in the evenings. Oh, my thyroid meds are now upped to 200 mcg/day–iow, they’re still not quite right. Guess it takes a bit of tweaking to get them right. I’ve only taken them for one day, but today I did not feel like taking a nap after lunch, which I usually do feel like. Heh. Yah, I know it takes 4-6 weeks for your body to adjust to a new dosage, but I’m just saying that I felt like I had more energy today.
Woo hoo for Kai and visiting grandbaby! Hope you’re enjoying yourself. And Dotty, glad to hear that things are going so well with your parents. Good that they agree with you about the MIL, but unfortunately you’ll have to still deal with MiL. 
Yay Swampy for making posts, even though he’s on third shift!! And will FCM be home tomorrow?! I hope so!!

We’re back from the ocean, rested and relaxed. What a beautiful three days!
We went, intending to hang out in our beach-facing room and watch the storms roll in. Boy, were we fooled! The weather was absolutely perfect. It was sunny and near 70 during the day and cool enough to keep the door open at night to hear the wave sounds. The sunsets were amazing because of the California fires.
We stayed at the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino.
We allowed ourselves just $100 to gamble and that kept us both happy for the whole four days. Hubby won, I lost, so we came out even.
At one point we were playing Roulette (well, he was playing, I was watching.) another woman at the table won, lost, won and finally lost over $1000 in 10 minutes. She knew exactly what each number or combo would pay. It was obvious she knew her way around the tables.
We took the video camera, but for some reason never took it out of the case, sorry, no pictures.
Unfortunately, a few minutes after getting home, we got a call that Hubby’s brother is in the hospital in Escondido CA.
His fire team from No. CA went down on Monday as a relief team. Bro is 55. He hasn’t been on the line in a few years. He let himself get dehydrated and had a small cardiac even. He’ll be flying home tomorrow.
It was a small fright for hubby, but all will be well.
Nobody tells me anything. Thanks. It’s a nice change–and a pretty name. (what did Jahdra mean?)
I like the name change, too.
Home from work. Didn’t kill him. It was a near thing.

We went to the pub for dinner last night, had a very nice curry and a couple of pints of Exe Valley brewery’s “Autumn Gold” which is one of their seasonal brews. Highly quaffable. After that, we toddled off to the cinema to see “Ratatouille”, good bit of harmless fun too.

Home from work, showered and dressed to go see the dentist at nine o’clock. Then it shall be beddy bye time. I’m usually in and out of the dentist’s office within an hour. They’re really good about keeping appointment times. Let us hope today shall be no different cause I shall want to get outta there and get back to da cave and sleep.

It is cool and dreary here this morning. I don’t mind the coolin off. It’s the cloudy and gloomy I’m not so hot on. This should be glorious Fall! With warm sunny weather, dammit!!
I got the dizzies when I got up to attend nature in the middle of the night. Not like the vertigo I had before. More overall than inner-ear feeling. It’s still lurking this mornng. Please, God, let this just be some kind of bug. 
The Office last night was awesome. The best so far this season!
I’ve got as feeling this is going to be one of those draggy Fridays.

I heard some rustling in the trashbags I have piled in the trailer last night. Moved them around a bit, and spooked a feral kitten that had tunneled in. Harumph.
I have no working phone or DSL at home right now. I suspect the rain to be the culprit. A hearty F-Y to the stooopid git at Embarq who would not take a trouble ticket because she was blaming a particular phone inside the house as the cause of the problem. Don’t argue technical problems with an engineer, toots.
