My Very Own Annoying Cow Orker[sup]TM[/sup] has been usurped* by an Even More Annoying Cow Orker a/k/a New Girl. New Girl usually sits several cubbies away, so I never noticed that she just DOESN’T SHUT UP! She’s sitting in the cubbie caddycorner to me today because her 'puter is messed up. She has not gone more than 10 minutes without uttering some inanity or other. It wouldn’t be so bad if she were uttering to herself, but she’s speaking loud enough for them to hear her across the street! And there she goes again! This time about some nameless schlub she has a crush on. :smack: (<- actually I’m “head in hands” but that’s the closest smilie we have)
*she still works here, just isn’t so annoying by comparison

Oh, my. I have a coworker who cannot stop talking, either. It is exhausting to listen to her continual, low level stream of complaints, structuring of her time etc. I feel for you.
I don’t believe anyone has let LOUNE out of that cage yet. Haze, it’s not nice to tease trapped er, things, I mean people. Is anyone willing to let him out?
I am home from shopping for food. I hate grocery shopping–it’s so mindless, so futile, so inane. And yet I do it, every Friday. At least I am down to a scheduled day of the week to do it-that makes it palatable. Or so I thought. Now I just dread Friday mornings. Not existentialist, fear of life dread, just ho-hum, this is an hour of my time gone and nothing to show for it dread. Sort of liking waiting at the DMV… Which I get to do this afternoon with #1 son.
I think what’d I like is a personal assistant to do some of this stuff for me while I travel. Could we look into that, please? Might it be in the budget?

Oldest kids will be gone for church SEX retreat this weekend (actually only #1 son’s retreat is about SEX. Daughter’s is who knows what. Personal growth or Jesus’ love or high ropes climbing or all three. I’ve lost track. My personal assistant would know, though–if I had one.)

I can’t decide what to make for dinner tonight. I like to have something fun for dinner on Fridays, like pizza, but I don’t want pizza tonight. What else is fun? (I also don’t want to go out because Fridays are chore nights and by the time we get done, we’re too tired to want to go out.)
I made risotto last night. It turned out pretty well, but was still a bit too firm in the center. Oh well. The flavor was good. And practice makes perfect, right?

I’m broiling some rib-eye steaks tonight, but I haven’t decided on the sides, yet.
I’m not a huge fan of grocery shopping either. This is probably because I seem to be at the grocery store every other day for one thing or another. The “one thing” then turns into an extra $50.00 or $100.00 worth of stuff.
Part of my problem is that I’m always on the prowl for something new. I tend to wander every aisle. I’ve tried the list thing, but that doesn’t always work, especially if go to Coscto. I wander up and down each and every aisle. I have been very good about the frequency of my Costco trips though. I’ve basically cut those down to once a month.
I should get a start on some of my chores. I really don’t want to do them, but I am sick of looking at the mess that my house has become.

GMail Chat is completely client-less – it works directly from within your web-browser, with no installation of any client software required.
I’m not familiar with Google talk, but IIRC it’s an actual client that you do have to install on your computer.
Long story short – GMail chat has the advantage of being available from any computer on which you can reach your GMail account. It has the disadvantage of being able to talk only with other GMail accounts (as well as, I think, being rather limited in its functionality, as compared with full fledged chat clients)
Ah. Yeah, come to think of it, I did install it - through the Updater.
I don’t need a lot of functionality in a chat thing, I hardly use them. IIRC, if I respind to another Gmail user’s e-mail through Chat, the whole chat archive becomes part of the conversation.
New Girl is going to drive me to drink - if she can’t find something “it must not be there” instead of asking for alternate search methods
Woohoo! We just found out our new work location (We’re moving early next summer.) and it’s <1 mile from the townhouse KeithT and I are planning to buy! How perfect is that??
