My girlfriend’s in town, so 1-2 times a day it is! We have very similar sex drives.

Not really. We both want the feeling of emotional closeness, and to have fun and have orgasms.

Not really. She’ll occasionally warn me that she hasn’t had a shower that day or something, but I usually don’t care and we go ahead anyway. As long as I don’t mind, she doesn’t get self-conscious about it, so…

It’s not perfect, because several of you answered the “week/day” questions with “2-3” so I have no way of knowing if that’s per day or per week. I assumed it meant “per week.” Feel free to clarify, and I’ll fix it.
It appears the women are having sex much more frequently than men, but I’m terrible at math/averages. Anyone care to analyze the numbers?

For me, after showering. For her, does not matter.

This is a big generalization: 3 to 4 times per week. Actually, my interest in sex varies widely throughout my cycle, and also depends a lot on what else is going on with me emotionally. But I’d say 3-4 times per week is a pretty accurate average.

Zero. Nothing. I’ve been celibate since my divorce last year, and the last several months of my marriage were not real passionate.

With my ex-husband – not at first, but as the years went by, yeah, I guess that’s about right. We got into this thing where he just wanted some quick physical satisfaction, and I wanted lots of affection and comfort and emotional contact. We were really just on totally different planes of existence, sexually. The result was that neither of us got what we wanted. It kind of sucked. Probably for both of us.

I always feel much more erotic and voluptuous first thing in the morning. One of our most pleasant morning rituals was to wake up, snuggle together for a while, get up, brush our teeth, and then go back to bed and make love. It sounds unspontaneous, but it was really nice.
