It’s not just you. I wrote that post early this morning so I think a bit of my pre coffee crankiness leaked into it but none of it is directed at you Quasi.
But Wave is getting a bit of negative buzz because somehow the people that it’s being marketed to think it’s a Facebook killer or the next Twitter or something, and it’s just not. That isn’t really what it’s about at all. It’s really about taking all the things that make communication via email difficult and breaking down those walls.
But I am not sure where the whole social network thing came from, because it seems pervasive. And people are right, as a social network it blows, but so does Microsoft Outlook. 
Also, while I am at it I should note that I am not being stingy with my invites…I just haven’t gotten any yet. When I do get some I will be more than happy to hand a few out.
My only experience so far is watching the video and it looks like some of the interface looks like facebook. Of course, the whole thing doesn’t act like facebook as you have noted.

So Naf when shall we build the first wave mafia game?
Well, you me and DB are on now so I say we are good to go. 
I don’t know if mafia will play well on wave, but I do know that it will be a hell of a lot easier to do collaborative game design and probably easier to have scum boards with wave. Particularly if they develop a tool that lets you post waves to BBs.
