FCM here’s hopin’ this does the trick for FCD. Poor thing! He needs comfortin’. Maybe some “appreciation” even.
Jah and gotti the discerning of good from bad Schlitz is indeed visual. See, the brewry has this ten story tall warehouse. It’s really a biiiiiiiiig open space ten stories tall. What happened was, some of the product stored at the very top managed to topple over and spill onto product stored below for about three of those ten stories. It just so happens that an appreciable amount of possibly damaged product happened to be six packs of 16 ounce Schlitz. ::shudder:: So, I’ve been lookin’ for damaged cans, damaged cones (that’s what those little plastic ring thingys on four and six packs are called), sticky cans (cause apparently they can’t be like washed off, they have to be trashed), and any discoloration of cans, cause Og forbid every can does not look all bright and shiny, I guess. A very sizeable amount of said cans are unsalvageable (thanks gt) and are bein’ sent to recycling, AKA Beer Dump. The nice PC name corporate gives it is recycle. The UnPC we call it at the brewry is Beer Dump cause that’s what happens, beer gets dumped. Ok, it gets dumped into a can or bottle crusher, but it’s still beer that gets dumped. That also happens with product that is past its expiration date. Distrubitors ship it back and it gets dumped. There is a fair amount of waste in the beer makin’ industry.
Ok, now for some TMI cause I’ve been remiss as of late.
A bit of preTMI backstory:
I took a shower when I got home cause, EWW, I was all beer sticky. After showerin’, I donned a pair of shorts and cause it’s hot a tank top.
Thus Endeth The PreTMI Backstory
So, we’re eatin’ supper. Sketties and fixin’s as y’all will recall. Ol’ y’all know who says “MMMMMM”. Thinks I, a compliment on my sketties, so I make a comment about how much he’s enjoyin’ the sketties. Says he that he is indeed enjoyin’ his sketties and fixin’s but that ain’t what the “MMMMMM” is about. I’m then told that he was lookin’ at my shoulders and arms and thinkin’ how the past seven weeks of my employment at the brewry has caused my shoulders and arms to look bigger. :o I was bein’ lusted after at the supper table! Anywho, he’s takin’ a quick shower (actually he’s out now) and we’re gonna go do a dip in the pool. Afterwards I am promised more shoulder and arm admiration amongst other things. Gonna be a dang fine spend the night night. Hope I’m not to tired to make it to work in the mornin’!
Argh! Someone made a serious mistake, and while it’s not my fault, it’s my responsibility and I can’t stay late to fix it because I have to go “socialize” i.e. go back to group therapy or go back on ADs. Bah! Talk later, when have been socialized for the week.
FCM , I hope all goes well with the surgery, and that it fixes everything this time.
I needed some foundation makeup, so between the trip to the post office to mail booster club postcards and the trip to the library to fill out the reservation form for the meeting room, I went to the maul and visited Estee Lauder. I got a new type of foundation, and the girl really took some time with me to find something that wouldn’t go orange on me. Plus it was “bonus gift” time, which is when I always buy my foundation. I got a lipstick, a gloss, a blusher and some perfume for free! I haven’t bought a lipstick in years!

I lucked out on Freecycle today - a guy posted a bookshelf and I got my request in 2 minutes before the next person. He sent me an e-mail with his address and phone number, and it turns out we could have just handed the darn thing over the back fence! However, it is a really high fence with lots of stuff growing on it, so I drove around the block. Yah for new bookshelves!
Another entry in the “it’s a small world” sweepstakes - I found out the lady who gave me Magic is the mother in law of the guy my best friend got her German Shepherd from. And no, I’m not going to sing that song. La la la I can’t hear you!
Swampy, I used to drink Shitz beer back when I was too young to drink beer. I have no idea why - probably because it was cheap. Nasty stuff. But please keep the Miller Lite flowing; Mr. SCL drinks the stuff.
I did. The cookies I made yesterday are gone (not all by me, thank og), so I’m going to make some pan cookies soon. Almost done with my mystery–I have 5 more that I checked out. I hate running out of reading material.
Dinner is finished (homemade mac and cheese); laundry is out of the dryer, uniforms are clean; recycle bin is out at the curb. Life is still good.
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small, small world
? Why would you not post that song? It seems a lovely song. Gosh, we never had a song like that in the UK. I bet you merrycans just *love *singing that song. Why I bet just seeing some of the lyrics sets you guys off.
So, I drove across town, in rush hour traffic, to wait in a waiting room. And wait and wait and wait. Finally, I gave up and left after 40 minutes. Isn’t my time important, too? Feh.
McUNE, that discount sounds nice. Good luck on the interview and I hope the rain passes by then.
Taters, I hope your daughter is OK.
Yes, please. Is it included with the Lunch meal deal or is it extra?
And Lunch, you’re funny. I laugh at what you say all the time. I’ve only seen one of your jokes, though and admittedly that wasn’t funny. But everything else is.

Jahdra**, carrot cake is definitely in the vegetable food group. What do you mean. . .carrot colored frosting?!
zelie, how did you get Black Forest Gateux to be 5 servings of fruits and vegetables? Could you do the same for me please? I want french fries to be health food.
Posting that song was way past evil.
palebunny, I hope your knee gets better soon.
ETA: Oops, forgot to say my good nights and mornings! Good night to all you people on this side of the planet and good morning to those on the other side! ~doing the wave around the globe~
Here I said I was going to participate this week and I’m obviously off to a roaring start. Best laid plans and all that.
First off, boos, yays and hugs to all who are in need. I really did mean to keep notes, but decided it was more important to jump in. I really do read ALL the MMP, and a huge thanks to gt for welcoming me back.
Second, PLEASE SEND RAIN. I moved down here for the climate and as usual, I have kept my curse in that it has rained three whole times in the year since I moved here and we’re having record-high temperatures. Please note that it has rained more in the stoopid desert that I left… I should move to the rainy spots for a fee to abate flooding. I am a force of nature. I could probably take out Hurricane Dean with a glance.
As it turns out they’re “treating” my daughter for bronchitis. I was all :dubious: because I wasn’t called in to speak with the doc after he examined her. The doc that examined her wasn’t her regular doc, and she didn’t like him nearly as much as she likes her regular doc.
So, she’s on a course of antibiotics for a week. She’s not taking amoxicillin, she’s taking something else. I hope this works. She was pretty darn miserable yesterday and today.
Tonight’s dinner was Mickey D’s just because I didn’t feel like messing with anything.
Tomorrow, it’s back to work. I felt bad calling in after having been out for two weeks on vacation, and only being at work one day, but, my family comes first.
I know my daughter is still feeling pretty crappy because she’s already in bed. Poor thing.
Well, I have printer issue to resolve, so I’m off to take care of it. Hugs to those that need them, and just hugs in general because you’re all such good folks.
Pre-coffee. Ergo, incoherent. Not like I’ll be Laser-sharp afterwards, but still. :smack:
It’s included, but only at Noon(e)…
It’s also extra (good)
Finally! I’ve found someone with as horrible a sense of humor as my own!! Yay!!! :D:D:D
Posting what? Sorry, I can’t remember, I have this awful ear-worm I can’t seem to shake…
That was beautiful
Taters – at least it’s figured out. If you can throw antibiotics at it, it should be OK!
ems, what you want is company. Just call it “breakfast” and I’ll join you. Then it won’t be cooking for one, anymore…
FCM – poor FCD! Hope it works out well, and there doesn’t have to be a fourth time.
WhiteRabbit that fire is holding for a long time! And what is it with your knee? Hope that clears up soon, too.
I’m hoping for a few quiet(er) days at work – it’s been all hectic pretty much since I got back to work, and I’m hoping things will quiet down a bit – we installed a patch on the client’s site overnight last night, which should help with our performance issues. Also, we found out that the Client Software (that is “complaining” about our performance) has been reconfigured to wait only 700 ms for a response. It was supposed to be 2500ms, you blathering morons!! No wonder we’ve been having problems! Bah.
Argh! I give up. The feckin’ printer won’t work. Oh, it prints out the gd test page, but it will not print from any other feckin’ program. I’ve downloaded the latest drivers, I’ve done everything I can think of. I even uninstalled it and started over.
Dammit! It worked fine just a couple of weeks ago!
This at home or at work? What operating system and what printer? What programs? What kind of errors are you getting? Have you rebooted your computer yet?
Or, better yet, PM or email me (in my profile) and I’ll try to help you out. If you choose e-mail, please PM or post here that you did; I don’t have auto-notification for that address.
It’s o443 here and I am off to work soon. It’s dark outside still. Why can’t I sleep the night before I have to go in early? Why, god, why?
Off to make the Big Bucks (actually, this is almost true). Enjoy your Wednesdays, all.
