mr ems just got his summer haircut as well - the short peach fuzz is great to rub and he lets me do it! 
Headed to movies tonight. I really don’t have the energy but we have bought the tickets now.

Up early again (thanks, Scruffy) and I have no idea what’s happening on the babeh front. Daughter came home around 9 last night to drop off the granddog and head back. They’s sent Mama home because she wasn’t progressing, with specific instructions about when to return. Daughter went back to their place to try again to watch a movie, and she’s not home yet. Either she decided to crash there for the night, or she’s at the hospital again… I expect she’ll call when she thinks we’re awake.
I took her puglet out, hoping he’d pee and poo in the yard. No luck, and I got tired of standing in the dewy grass, so I’m resigned to cleaning the carpet today. I’m letting him play up here a little while longer before consigning him to his cage.
**FCD **plans to find our nautical fuel leak today, and apart from cleaning the carpet (I wasn’t kidding) I’m thinking I may play in clay for a while. It’s supposed to get up near 90, so the basement will be nice and cool.
Other than that, it’s too early. I need caffeine…
Boring update - **FCD **got a text. No babeh - daughter just got tired and stayed the night. I’m caffeinating and I want breakfast. NOW!!!

Saturday was pretty normal for us - went into town and did errands, I got to measure up fridge-freezers because ours is slowly dying and it’s almost as expensive to get it fixed as it is to buy a new one. Plus the new one will have a better energy rating. That took up all afternoon, came home and went for a bike ride as it had finally stopped raining.
Last night I cooked myself some nommy salmon with baby new potatoes, broccoli and broad beans. Then we watched Final Destination 4 which was funnier than I expected it to be.
Today I have found out that 9am on a Sunday morning is the ideal time to be at A&E as the eye nurse wasn’t busy and I got out in less than 45mins armed with my usual eye ulcer treatment and a follow-up appointment in a week’s time.
Came home, spent some time with 'im indoors, went out to wash the car, swept the tiled floors and I’m just having a break after mopping the kitchen and hallway, before I start mopping the bathroom floor. After that, I might lay on the sofa for half an hour and look vacantly at the walls.
Lunch (n.o.L) shall be smoked salmon soufflés since I am having a fishy weekend! I bought some smoked salmon yesterday and have been wondering what to do with it, so I looked in my Fat Club magazine. Lo and behold, there’s a recipe for soufflés in there so I shall try that out.
Tonight’s dinner will be something involving chicken boobies, probably stuffed with a mixture of soft cheese, garlic and herbs. Possibly also wrapped in bacon.
Right, time to go and mop now, and the dust things. Bah. I hate dusting. Why isn’t there a dusting fairy here?
stoopit neighbors! Saturday is lawn mower day, not Sunday. Y’all should be in church by now (I know for a fact I am the only Jew on the block)
I have two dusting fairies. They come over biweekly. I give them lots of money and they dust the furniture and scrub the bathrooms and clean the kitchen floor. It is money well spent!
Back from breakfast and a run to the convenience center. Garbage and recycling have been dispatched. Daughter came home to shower - her friend is still at home and apparently had contractions all night long. It’s her first babeh, so who knows how long this will go on…
I got my kid to help me empty the dining room and I just finished vacuuming it. I’ve gotten the steam cleaner out, and next step is to fill it up and start cleaning. There are multiple pee and puke stains so I decided to do the whole room instead of just the spots. Stoopit animals… And because of the cleaning and the impending heat, I closed up the house and turned on the air. It’s still a bit cool for it to come on, but once I get the carpet done, it’ll probably have warmed enough to trip the thermostat.
I ordered some clothes last night - some chinos, a tunic, and two pantsuits. The stoopit dress code is now mandatory. ick. I need a few more blouses, and at least one more pair of acceptable shoes. I have brown loafers, black loafers, black oxfords, and black flats. I’m thinking blue or brown flats will work. Oh, and I have a pair of boat shoes that I think I can get away with when I’m wearing khakis.
I hate dress codes.
I hate cleaning the carpet, too. Which is why I’m still messing around here. Avoidance, you know…

I go today to see Mama-in-Law’s new digs. She is taking us out to lunch. It’s hot. I slept well. I have to flatiron my hair, find clothes to wear (I’m assuming the restaurant frowns on pajamas as attire). When we get back I face kitchen floor cleaning and master bath cleaning.
Memorial Day Weekend is a holiday weekend, right?
(or course, there are alllllllll those years I spent MDW working as a nurse, so being home to clean is actually a step in the right direction!)
Up and had brekkie - now off to shower and make a coffee run. mr ems just left to make a quick trip out to work to check on a couple things.
I will then work on tidying up the backy patio & washing the furniture down and then start sorting trash out of the garage. I must also then pack as I am headed to Houston tomorrow afternoon to start my new job on Tuesday.
Tyring to decide what to do for dinner tonight. It will involve grilling as it is going to be over 90 degrees here today.
Dining room carpet is clean, as well as the couple of random pee spots in other places. I’m just too tired and to hot to do another entire room or two. So I’m having a cold beverage and taking a break before heading down to my playroom.
Daughter came home, showered, and left with her pup. I may or may not see her any more today.
The left lens of my glasses is scratched. My own fault for doing the t-shirt hem wipe. 
So unless I want to shell out $$, I’ve got to live with it till January. I hate plastic lens glasses.
I’m eating a bowl of no sugar added Bunny Tracks ice cream for lunch. Nom nom nom.

Taking a clay break. I’ve made a fish and a cat wall hanging, and I reconstituted some clay that had kinda dried up. When I go back downstairs, I’m going to roll it out and make a school of little fishies. And if I feel up to it, I’ll decorate the last few pieces I have on the shelf. I almost have a kiln load ready to go. Yay.
