A reminiscent MMP

It’s rainin’ here. Big surprise. So we’re hangin’ on the back porch and chillin’. Still nice just to do that.

Ok, back to beerverages and chillin’.

Later Y’all!

Oh and feel better coyote!

I don’t feel like doing anything, but I’ve accomplished a little.

My mom went up to the grandparents’ for the weekend, so it’s just me and my dad. I swear, if I was forced to live with anyone, I’d choose my dad. Before my mom left we painted our nails. I need to touch up a couple of them, but they’re so cute. I feel like Sailor Moon when I look at them. (… ok, I’m a dork…)

As far as actually accomplishing things, yesterday I did the decoration for my newest fedora. I’ll be posting pictures in the Do Something thread as soon as I get them editted. I also washed out my cooler from last weekend and it’s drying. I’ll be taking it and the rest of my faire stuff to the storage unit probably after lunch. Which I probably should go eat.

I’m looking forward to my graduation party next weekend, but I wish people would actually RSVP. So far, I know there’s going to be five people there and that includes my parents and myself.

Doing laundry and sitting on MY fat ass. I love Saturdays! I even got Mr Rebo to go to the store for me.

I’m grilling some chicken leg quarters tonight, with corn on the cob and macaroni salad. Dessert will be trifle. (I have lots of pieces of different leftover cakes that I put in the freezer. I cube them, and layer with pudding and whipped cream. Ooh! I have chocolate chips and pecans in the freezer, too!) Carb city - here I come! :stuck_out_tongue:
ETA: Feel better **Jewelz **- and anybody else feeling icky!

Stupid question of the day:

How in hell does one take a photo from one FB album and put it in another FB album (same person’s profile)? I am trying to put together an album of #1 son, and my profile pic features him (very young), but I can’t figure out how to get that pic into his album.
It’s probably staring me in the face.

rigs sorry to be of no help but I hear ya! FB as fun as it is, confuses the hell outta me on a lot of things.

It’s Tstormin’ now so we moved inside.

Oh and just cause…

ogbligatroy durkne psot.

What? At least I didn’t call Rosie Roise!
:stuck_out_tongue:

All I can figure out is that you have to upload the photo again. If nothing else, pull the profile picture up, save it to your desktop, and re-upload it. Yeah, I know there has to be a simpler way, but I sure as heck can’t figure out what it is.

I’m feeling a little better, and because I had the foresight to pay the electric bill on time, I don’t have to give up my gym membership. I could live without Zumba, but I don’t want to! Thanks for the good thoughts, you guys!

Back. The flea market was a huge meh. I swear, the replacement window and gutter and jewelry vendors get booths at any and all shows - I assume they must get some business back, but dang, this is a Nautical Flea Market. I have yet to see a boat with gutters, houseboats excluded, I suppose.

One guy had a filter that **FCD **was interested in, but the guy proceeded to tell **FCD **that his fuel filter setup was wrong and his engine couldn’t possibly run with 3 filters in line. Even tho we’ve done just that for 2 years… Anyway, he lost the sale because he couldn’t keep his opinions to himself.

Since we were already in Annapolis, we went to a couple of other boat stuff stores, then came home, stopping enroute for a late lunch. Daughter has taken her pup to go watch videos at her friends’ house. **FCD **is at the boat. I’m doing laundry, thinking about claying. What I really want to do is nap… What I really should do is make a trash and recycling run. That’s the only thing I miss about ex-SIL. He did the trash.

One good thing about a late lunch - I won’t have to make supper. yay for that anyway.

Thank god. I thought it was me. Isn’t that stupid of FB? As if you’d only ever want certain pics in certain albums. Go figure.

Hang in there. And good rates at gyms will be there again.

you rang?:dubious:

gorgeous weather yesterday and today and they say tomorrow will be even better. I relaxed (read: slept/dozed with TV on/slept) all day until about an hour ago when the jets heading for the Air Show at Jones Beach left the airport that is about a mile from the house. LOUD.

I got it–I just uploaded a “copy” of it to my #1 son album on FB.

I have almost succeeded in pissing the day away. I should rent a movie tonight–what should I rent?

I think you can rearrange pictures in other albums, rigs, but not the ones in your profile. Yeah, facebook is weird sometimes.

Yay for keeping the gym membership!

::waves at roise::

I’ve been slowly cleaning and taking a break from gardening. Also chatting with brother. I’m thinking I’ll go for a walk in a bit to see what’s going on in the 'hood. Then I’ll go back to gardening.

Back later.

Hugs.

I’d be the same, except I’ve been aroud for fewer than 56 years. My feet stick out at funny angles which make it difficult to point my feet straight ahead at the same time. Plus, I don’t much like being outside in the cold.

But if you need help feeding people, I’ll happily bring some sharp knives and thermometers.

Taking a break from irk. Someone had the daft idea to create a new department and now they need several dozen people set up in it. Overtime pay is nice, but we need a new name. If work on a weekday is irk, what’s irk on a holiday weekend? TORTURE!

On the tonsorial side - since nobody’s offered any advice, my hair’s growing back out and is at peach fuzz levels. Maybe closer to velour.

<rubs gotti’s velour head, just because>

My husband keeps his hair cut really short, and every time he comes back from the barber, I have to rub his fuzzy head - it’s like petting a velour toy. He doesn’t understand the appeal…

:smack: MUST read for comprehension… (Re gym membership).

Off to go do more nothing. #1 son is chasing Natasha the Wonder Cat[sup]TM[/sup] around the house.

The Baby’s coming!! Maybe…

A friend of my daughter’s is hugely preggo. Her due date is June 13, but she’s been having pains/contractions all day. Daughter headed over there to watch a video with them, and a call to the Dr led to a trek to the hospital. It could be time… <pacing nervously>

I need to get off the computer and get to knitting - I don’t have her babeh blankie all knitted yet!!!

Nah, I’m fine. But the friend may be in labor, so the babeh may be appearing early. If so, I’m sure new mom will be glad - she was massive last time I saw her!

More news as it develops. Back to you, Chet.

Appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the babbeh MOOOOOOM.

Oh and, watermelon is good! First of the season. MMMMMMMMMMMM…

Plus…

Oen mreo ogbligatroy durnken psot.

I’m a Lector at church tomorrow. Glad it’s a short lesson.

Just got a text from Daughter - Mom-to-be is at 3cm. They figure the kid will get here tonight. We already know it’s a girl.

Yay for babeh!!!

FCM, me too! My hubby keeps his hair short like that. He loves the head rubs! And congratulations: looks like you’d better learn how to speed knit!

Good thoughts headed babeh’s way for a smooth landing.

Peach fuzz (or a bit beyond that) seems to look good on a lot of men, gotti. Torture seems like an appropriate term for the weekend work, by the way.

Worked in the garden till 7, then showered and went for another walk around our little downtown. We have a special event every month with booths and musicians and other extra people. This means it’s extra busy and there are lots of people-watching opportunities.

I discovered we have a new art gallery. They’ve been there two months and I hadn’t noticed them. (They’re a little bit off the beaten path.) They seem to have several little businesses there (graphic design, paintings and prints, wood carving and repair, and something else I’m forgetting), so maybe there’s hope for them. They had a couple of really nice prints (silkscreen, I think).

Publicity said there were seven bands. Some of them were lone musicians standing on the sidewalk. There was a really good Celtic duo (accordion and fiddle), a couple of bluesy types, and a little rock band whose average age was maybe 15 - but they were quite good. The bluesy ones were OK, but there were a couple of musicians that were either 1) not very good, or 2) totally not my taste in music.

Now I’m very tired, but need to at least vacuum. Then I think I’m going to crash…

Happy Saturday evening, all!

GT

The hair around my bald spot is that short…
