StickyBuns there are these stores called “grocery” stores. In these grocery stores there is an ailse devoted to “frozen” food. In that frozen food aisle one can find ice cream in all flavors includin’ chawklit! It’s just the most jakely jakest thing ever! You should go!
I had 4 different people tell me in the last hour that I’m crazy.
My old POS truck needed an inspection, so I dropped it off at the mechanic’s place tonight. The crazy part is I threw my bicycle in the back, and rode it home instead of VWife picking me up. It was a pleasant 9 mile ride, and I haven’t been on a bike in over a year.
My ass hurts.

Last night was pub night, beerverages were consumed! Specifically, Spinning Dog Brewery’s Mutts Nutts. Chocolately beer. Yum!
So it was a late night and an early morning and I is still tired. There will be lots of pointy stick action today if those pesky students start annoying me.
I like summer in small doses, and I like mine not too hot and not too cool. I am so hard to please.

We had chicken fajitas, some homemade tamales that Mr Rebo brought home from a guy at work, peppers and onions, guacamole, and refried frijoles for dinner last night. Yum! tonight I have planned a chef salad, with leftover chicken fajita meat, ham, and bacon. I’m getting hungry for breakfast now…

There were no promises when the cafeterias here changed hands. Very smart of them as things are in general, not as good.
Still haven’t decided to do with my hair, or lack thereof.
Morning! Busy day here, as it’s end of month for me. I can’t believe we’re so excited about a new blood glucose meter. Our daughter got her new Bayer Didget last night. It connects to her Nintendo DS, and it has a game with it: she collects bonus points for testing three times a day and being in range. She gets more points for in range than out of range. She gets more points if she tests at least three times a day for 7 days in a row. She was squeeing all over the place last night. Today is their last day of school, and her teacher said they could bring a game: of course, she took her Didget.
I wish we had a cafeteria. I have a fridge in my office, which is the next best thing. I have enough food in there for a week!
Chocolate beer is oddly nice- think of the bitter, fruity notes in dark chocolate. The ones I’ve tried haven’t been sweet at all.
I typed my last comment in caps and the board changed it, because I couldn’t mean I HATE SUMMER, now could I? On the other hand, I love central air conditioning. Love it.
Juliana, that’s a neat meter. Gnat went up unexpectedly last night, and is still high today, so I’m waiting to see if he’s coming down with something, or just trying to (keep on) driving us nuts.

I have men running all over my back yard this morning fixing sprinklers. Hubby has been less than diligent on yard care since in his words ‘doesn’t go out there’ so they are fixing sprinklers and lining them up so we have green lawn and not brown patches. Gotta keep up with the neighbourhood!
Man I love grocery stores - I spent an hour and half there on Tuesday and got loads of good stuff. Food is cheap here - I had forgotten that! Menu this week has been great - I love having variety and also an outdoor grill to cook it on!
Tuesday - Grilled shrimp salad (Shrimp marinated in lime juice/white wine/olive oil/honey/salt/pepper/chipoltle chilli powder) then chargrilled.
Wednesday - Grilled rib eyes with steamed squash and salad and fresh corn (5 ears for 80 cents!!!)
Thursday - Chicken fajitas
Friday - Grilled Pork loin marinaded in lime juice/balsamic vinegar/olive oil/beer/anything else I shove in there with baked sweet potatoes
Saturday - Chicken/chefs salad as we are meeting friends for breakfast
I am starving now!
