I dressed up as a Houston Texans fan.
My extra hour of sleep was wasted because I kept waking up just about every hour with pounding sinus pain and a noisy cat, not at the same time. Ended up leaving work early Sunday because I was running a low grade fever. Slept off and on all day, feel better today. It never fails, when the weather changes my sinuses go crazy.
Now that I’m finally home despite the cold (18ºC! it was 30 at the same hour on friday) and rain (not conductive to stupid driving, perhaps because people here are used to more violent “cold drop” storms, but yes today my lights were on), I have been able to look at the pics and wish to indicate, and let this not go to his head, that Mr. Rebo is quite handsome.
And I hope your watch gets better, M’Lord Count.
This past weekend was the annual Brunswick Stew fundraiser at the Cottonfield County Rescue Squad. I worked several hours all for the ability to have a reason to stay off my butt. Actually, I did the entire weekend without drugs…
Lots of hunters came through to buy stew, one had a 185 lb. black bear (N. O. S.) in the back of his truck on the way to be made into a rug.
Iris and Rose look like they would be Teh Hoot…
Other than that, I got nuthin.
Loved your song Rosie!
That’s all I got for now.
Rosie! That was absolutely wonderful!
::standing O::
Haven’t gottent to look at the pictures yet, but…cool OP, Rebo. Thanks for getting us started out.
I have work I need to do tonight, so I won’t get to hear your performance till tomorrow, rosie, but I’m so glad it went well!
There was more, but I’ve forgotten and need to get work done.
Hugs.

Goodness, we’re not too chatty so far, are we?
Up again, waiting for my ride to get herself up and dressed and ready for work. I just finished my breakfast, and I’m caffeinating. Oh yes, mornings are exciting in FairyChatEstates.
Today, I should get home earlier, since daughter doesn’t have tutoring tonight. Tomorrow, she’s heading up to stay with my brother while she attends a conference in Baltimore, so **FCD **will pick me up after work and she can head straight up 301.
It’s likely to be a long day regardless. I had a tough time falling asleep last night and I’m feeling a bit draggy. Maybe the caffeine will help. And may I say that not only am I already sick of Christmas ads on TV, last night was a warm-and-fuzzy Christmas episode of *Bones *which made me stabby. I hate that show anyway - it’s so contrived - but this particular one was especially stupid. Because, you know, the former cleaning lady will come out of assisted living on Christmas morning to go to a gov’t facility because of a phone call the night before.
Have I mentioned that I hate Bones???
But it promises to be a nice day here - it’s already in the 40s, which starts us off warmer than yesterday. I’ll be able to finish populating my first spreadsheet today and maybe start doing some analysis, which is good since I’m an analyst and all… Plus the Enlisted Association is doing a fund raiser pizza sale, so pizza for lunch! YAY!
Life is good. Except for Bones. That sucks.
So what’s your real opinion of Bones, FCM? Come on now! Don’t hold back.
Awake. Need to get up to finish work stuff. Ick.
Is it Firday yet?
GT
FCM, wanna borrow my Supernatural DVDs? They make about as much sense as Bones, but don’t expect anybody with a functioning brain to believe it, and the landscape is pretty nice… In other words, why the heck were you watching Bones, when based on your description you feel about it like I feel about cauliflower?
Good morning all! Up and caffeinating, although like FCM, I too had problems sleeping last night and am just not up with it yet this morning.
Rosie, wonderful job on the solo, you were great!
My eyes are hurting already this morning; I got my fonts re-set at a larger level yesterday at work and am mostly ok there except if I’m looking at spreadsheets. Ugh!
Happy Tuesday all!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’.
I had Vestry meetin’ over to the church house last night. I’ll be glad when all the budgetin’ and stuff is worked out. I do not like loooooong meetin’s. However, I knew this when I agreed to serve.
I have never seen Bones. The promos were enough to convince me it’s stoopid.
Not much else goin’ on in swampland, except I need more caffiene!
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Hockey tonight.
Blurf.
I’ve found a sure fire cure for constipation this morning: driving in Cottonfield County at sunrise. With all the deer standing in the road, I guarantee you’ll shit your pants.
Damnit Bob, my new cubicle mate whose name I still don’t know (that whole gaggle don’t believe in introducing themselves, even after we went over and introduced ourselves we didn’t get names or what do they do) just looked at me like she was thinking of calling the company doctor on me I’m reasonably sure we’re not supposed to laugh at work.
Those three women are strange… yesterday they were all wearing the same shade of grey (I figure it must be This Year’s Shade), today they all have similar tops in different colors.
Good morning!
So I’m not able to work on my schematic after all. Now I have to figure out the volume of insulation required to insulate this tree. Then make drawings for it. And somehow (in my nonexistent spare time) learn all there is to know about hydraulically plumbing up another tree - including what size tubing to use, what particular valves are used, etc. - for a presentation for my boss’s bosses.
See y’all next year.
Hi guys!
If you’re my friend on fb, head over and make a guess on how many pieces of silverware I bought yesterday. I’m giving away a twisted fork pendant (or key chain or business card holder) to the person with the winning guess!
[Steve Urkel] Did I do that? [/Steve Urkel]
ETA: You need to refer to the trio as HueyDeweyandLouie.
Accurate. Last night, hubby was driving home and I was checking our bank balance when a deer ran out in front of us. At least I was headed home at the time. Craptastic!
Great pics, Rebo! And what a great park!
I’m finally surfacing after a crazy weekend plus a busy Monday. My weekend: Saturday morning knitting, afternoon cleaned up our patio/“garden” area, had company for dinner. Sunday biked 45-min to church early (thankful for the time change so it was light out when I left home just after 7:30!), set up communion, stayed for half of service, went to an all-day choir workshop with the world music community choir that I’m in where we stood most of the time, then biked 35-min home. I was exhausted by the time I got home and pretty much spent the rest of the evening on the sofa. Fortunately, we had one of those rare warm November days and it was in the low-60s (looks like that’s 15.5 C) when I biked home, even if it was 36 in the morning when I started out (2 C). Also fortunately, KT was in charge of dinner so I didn’t have to worry about that. A friend had given us a beef heart so he turned that in to swiss steak. Not bad. It’s a lean muscle and is full of iron so pretty healthy and rather tasty.
Yesterday I was at work until 6. So then by the time I made dinner, I didn’t make it to regular weekly choir. I like singing so I’m sorry to miss that. But some days it’s just too hard to juggle everything.
