A Slightly Early MMP

Butters It could be worse. You could have this stuck in your head. You’re Welcome!

Cake is done and coolin’. It looks and smells yummerific if’n I do say so myself. Ribs ‘n chikin are comin’ outta the smoker shortly. Then I shall have some N.O.L. and chillax for a bit. I deserve to chillax for a bit. Been one bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy mornin’ for da bear.

… *aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand *the money’s gone! I guess it wasn’t a lovely parting gift after all. But I’d love to know how it happened. You’d think one of the biggies on the check-out checklist would be “Remove former employee from payroll.” No matter - it’s done.

I do wonder how long it would have taken them to notice if I’d not emailed my old boss.

But now lunch is over and I have a metric buttload of crap to do for my current boss. Finally!!!

Up, had dinner/lunch and now doing some laundry. Since its now steady in the 80s I figure the couple extra blankets can go through the wash and into the closet for the year.

Other than that just sort of a general purpose Friday.

All you folks having grill-outs or parties this weekend - please send me care packages of the leftovers. Y’all are making me hungry

Cookout at mom’s; I’m bringing the burgers.

There will be no leftovers.

Oy! Holidays that fall at month end are a PITA. While I will be irking Monday, about half the people I need to contact to close out the month won’t be. I’m even irking later than usual today to get some stuff wrapped up.

Tomorrow, we’ll be having another brunch at Dragon Park. There will be a fundraiser next month to fund some restoration of the dragon. Then it will be to the Toyota dealership for an oil change and brakes. Sunday, a bunch of us are riding to Cookville (about 40 miles away along some nice, curvy hills), going to the train museum and riding back a different route.

Have a safe and fun weekend!

The heck are you, Lawrence of Arabia?

Reluctant A I don’t think you have been properly welcomed so welcome. Someone will give you a nickname. Me, I have nothing.

I had to take a Benedryl due to a sneezing fit and now I can hardly keep my eyes open. All I know is it is Firday and it could not have come soon enough.

Moooommm Good luck on Tuesday with FCD surgery and best wishes for a quick and easy full recovery. We will be at the check up in Miami on Tuesday with the heart DR. Full day that.

Swampy thanks for the diversion, now "It’s a small World"is stuck in my head. I shall not let it last long as I will fire up the bluetooth speaker and something else will replace it.

We have no plans for the long weekend. I know hubs will work and I hope to catch up on some sleep and finish a book I have been reading on for a month.

Come on 1800. I really doubt I will make it until then.

Ok, except for a journey over to the church house for ice, I have completed all my domestic chores for the day. YAY!!! I really don’t believe I got all that done in almost six hours but got it done I did.

Some of you may remember my arch enemy (well, maybe not that but someone I don’t like) Drama Queen who is banned from da cave. A friend called me to tell me DQ had asked to tag along tomorrow. Said friend reminded the fool that he was not welcomed at da cave and besides if he were to show up with DQ he’d be banned. Smart friend. Drama Queen is a complete and total, clueless asshat.

I came through last year, when R.A. Jr. was starting college, and I’ve been through a couple of times, since: somebody called me “Fonz” once.

I believe “Lawrence” or “Larry” would be excellent, but my ideas are far too cool for this bunch.

I wish doctors could collaborate better. Just got a call from the stem cell doc’s people about DH’s arrival at the hospital for Round Two of the semi-experimental stuff that his regular oncologist says isn’t working. The two docs were supposed to have gotten together on figuring the best course, but evidently, that’s not been done.

Meanwhile…he’s got gallstones, according to the ER doc. That would explain some of the specific symptoms he’s had in the past couple of days. I’ve had no luck doing much more than confirming he’s still at the hospital, so I’m headed there now.

Hopefully the mailstorm at work will have been stopped by the time I get back. With about 88,000 potential people to be hitting Reply All and saying “Please take me off this list” it’s a blessing that a lot of people are making a four day weekend.

Ice retrieval has been achieved and beer is icin’ in a cool shady spot. I also, hold on to your hats, vaccuumed and dusted da cave!

{{{gotti and DH}}} prayers and good thoughts continue to be sent from south Jawja.

Always in my thoughts and prayers too Gotti! When hubby was last in the horsepistol everyone who entered to do anything asked him his name, spelling of name and DOB. I take it a lot of mix ups occur and communication is not what it could be.

I am still working but not getting much done due the extreme sleepiness I have today. Come on 1800.

Happy Firday!

It was supposed to rain, but we have hot and sunny.
We finally broke down and turned on the AC.

It’s been a crappy day - I didn’t sleep well and I’m carrying a day long blurf around with me.
I keep waking up because my left foot hurts, the big toe and the ball of the foot.

Sunny - I have thought about getting another cat, but I’m afraid there will be fighting instead. We have talked about taking him back as he is not happy here, but will he really be happy anywhere? The paperwork said he needs a quiet house, this house is quiet. No kids, no screaming and yelling. It’s not a bad house a sacred cat.

Glad you’re feeling better FCM

One time when they drew blood from me, the nurse had the paperwork for the wrong guy.

Home. I got the nose piece on my glasses replaced on the way, and it only caused a 10 minute extension to my commute, so yay! **FCD **wants to go out to eat - as soon as he decides where, we’ll head out.

It was 81° in the house when I got home, so the windows are closed and the a/c is on. Dammit. I think it’s supposed to cool down tonight, so I’ll open the windows later.

The decision was for Red Robin, and thanks to my reward points, we got one of our dinners for free. WOOHOO!!!

Plans for tomorrow are mowage and jammin’. I’ll mow first thing while it’s cool out and before the next round of rain hits on Sun and Mon. Somewhere in those days, I’ll make some 'nanner bread and clean the smoker. And do laundry. Because that’s how I roll for holiday weekends!

**Fonz **- yeah, I vaguely recall that name bestowage. No offense meant by vaguely - I can’t brain these days. If you stick around more, those of us who are memory challenged are more likely to remember. Not mentioning any bears I know or anything…

They don’t think a couple of gallstones is actually the problem.

Dindin has been ingested. We had burgers and corn on the cob. OYKW had corn on the cob, that is. I had corn off the cob because I cut the corn off the cob. I llike corn but I do not like to gnaw it off a cob. I never have. Even as a cub my corn had to be off the cob or else I wouldn’t touch the stuff. ICK! Anywho, corn with some sour cream and butter (N.O.B.). YUM!

I sprayed down the smoker and will clean it in the mornin’ when it’s cooler. ‘Tis 92 Amurrkin out and hyooooooooomid so no way that will happen this evenin’. I am delicate and could easily swoon in those conditions.
