A Spooky & Furry Critter MMP

Reminds me of that Blink-182 song

{{{gotti and DH}}}

Somehow I spent most of last night dreaming about buying a new tent for this year’s season. I’m sure no one will be surprised that this is the one I was considering. If MsChilePepper still posted here, she’d be telling me not to do it because not as much light will come through it (as compared to a white tent), but I don’t care. You only live once and besides those rings get HOT to the touch in the summer, maybe this would help to keep them cooler.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated and brekkied already! 'Tis a chilly 42 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 74 for the day. Should be nice!

{{{gotti and DH}}} hope y’all can get to feelin’ better soonest!

StickyBuns it’s always all about style. Thus, the purple tent would * have* to be the one.

Ima take myself and OYKW (if’n he’s goin’) to Lutheran deheathenization at nine o’clock so’s N.O.L. preparations can commence. The biggest thing will be to grill chikin boobs which won’t be too bad since they are boneless and cut in strips. Right now they are marinatin’ away.

Ok, need to go purtify for Lutheran deheathenization and roust OYKW to see if he’s goin’.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Chopped up night full of weird dreams - ugh. From 2AM on, idiot Taz would wake me by trying to open one of the locked guest room doors (we can’t let him in them - he’s been known to pee on beds) or I’d suddenly wake because my arm was asleep, or I’d be having stoopit dreams and that’d wake me. I finally gave up around 7.

I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer, I fed my sweetie breakfast and made me a bagel with cream cheese and cashew butter. He’s on his way to a motorcycle swap meet in Howard county… I think he’s insane, since it’s only 43° here, but what ya gonna do?? My plan for the rest of the morning is to finish the rest of the laundry. I’m not going to work in the yard till it gets well into the 50s.

I took some preemptive ibuprofen - I’m still achy from yesterday. In fact, that’s part of what kept waking me - my right foot hurts and I’m pretty sure it’s from where I step on the shovel to drive it into the ground - I bet I bruised it. I’m hoping the ground is still wet enough from the Friday storm that it’ll be easy to dig… I hope…

Meanwhile, I’ll finish breakfast and finish the laundry. Happy Sunday!!

… but I used to have a working farm :frowning:

Blurf

I misread that as **roast **OYKW.

All this talk of trilliums is making me want to go to Sunday Service Up a Mountain. There might be some coming up there. I’ll head up as soon as I finish this cuppa coffee and N.O.Stickybun.

Happy Sunday!

It’s 8 degrees above freezing, what happened to Spring?

{{{Gotti and DH}}}

Have to IRK! today. It has been a slow week.

I don’t care if you can buy a $40,000 Victorian house in bad shape, and you have trillium and trout lilies, it is*** too damn cold*** up there!

**flytrap **- that’s how we keep out the riff-raff! :stuck_out_tongue:

With all of the cruise ship disasters of late, it seems to me that your rationale is not only practical and pragmatic, but sane, from a survivalistic point of view!

And if you get to missing the feeling of cruise ship luxury, just have some chocolate! Your neurotransmitters won’t know the difference between one serotonin boost or the other!

A shame to cancel your cruise, FairyChat.
Have you considered Bermuda?

**pastense **- Long before I took my first cruise, I vowed that I’d never go on a Carnival cruise - I hated their commercials that much!

But you are wise in your chocolate recommendation! Did I say wise? I meant GENIUS!!! Unfortunately, the only chocolate in the house at the moment is a box of hot cocoa packets, and that’s not the same as Lindt truffles or any number of other yummies. I’m too tired and achy to venture forth to find some, so my serotonin levels won’t get boosted today, alas…

Third load in the washer, second in the dryer, first put away. The temp is all the way up to 45°, but it’s very sunny, so I expect in a few hours, we should break 50°. Meanwhile, I’m wallowing in sloth - much as I would if I was on a cruise ship, which bring this post full circle.

**flytrap **- we were going to go to Bermuda in October, but with me out of work and spousal unit on reduced hours, and no idea when we’ll get back to normal, I won’t spend the money - I can’t justify $2000+ going out for something as frivolous as a week of vacation. And I’m pretty sure there are no UFOs in the “Bermuda Triangle.”

Good…morning? everyone

ugh. up late. too much wine.
Is there a Major Blurf…?

Ah well, Sundays is for repentance, right? We had a load of firewood delivered yesterday for next heating season that has to be stacked off, so that will count as penance. "Tis hard work, but actually enjoyable, to me anyway. The kiddos, not so much…
Happy Sunday, everyone!

Someone with mad photoshop skillz could make a Major Blurf with the addition of a couple of gold oak leaves.

FairyChatMom <<<blushing>>> Not sure that I’m genius, but I am wise to The Ways Of Chocolate. A teaspoon of baking cocoa gets stirred into every morning’s first cup of coffee.

Two things I can’t imagine living without!

Flytrap!

That’s not cold, it’s invigorating.
You want cold you got to go to Michigan.

Spaz as of this post OYKW remains unroasted. As long as he behaves and acts like I’ve trained him to act he should be ok.

All deheathenated Lutheran style, chikin is grilled, friggin’ good N.O.T. ready to get nukealated in a bit. Rolls ready to go in the oven as well. Everything else is ready and I am partakin’ of the obligatory Bloody Mary.

The laundry is done and it’s still under 50° out there according to my weather gadget. So I’ll have a little lunch, put on some shoes, then head out and see whether I want to get grubby or not.

I just remember that Daughter is coming over for dinner tonight - I need to pull something out of the freezer. Or maybe I’ll just make some weenies. Or order pizza. We shall see how it goes…

I found an ejookayshunul film all about our very own flytrap!
