Definite blurf.
Spent half the night awake worrying about money, though I’m pretty sure I’ll be OK, and I won’t have to sell any kidneys or anything, that doesn’t stop my back brain from going ‘but what if…?’ Stoopid brain.
I was going to go walk down to my allotment and plant some stuff today, but I left the site key in the car, which is still at the garage, which is in the opposite direction to the allotments. It’s grey and horrid looking, so doing a walking tour de city just so’s I can attempt to plant things before it starts properly raining isn’t very appealing. Methinks I shall stay at home.
I may do some felting today, or I may just mess about on the internet all day watching cat videos. That’s what I feel like doing, but it’s not very productive, even by my standards.

It is 27 degrees above freezing. and looks to be a pretty day.
One thing I love about the warmer weather, a weeks worth of shorts and t-shirts is a lot less laundry than a weeks worth of sweat pants and shirts.
I’m back to my weekly walks of hel’ pup after a 6 week break.
She and her big sis were excited to see me yesterday.
Do you guys clean up after yourselves when you blurf or do you just let it hang around in the thread all day? 
Me, I just say, “shucky durns” when I wake up.
Mayhaps? Peradventure, it shall come to pass that.

boofae critters!we got critters! Cleaning the hoardings out of the barn we had field mice leaping like popcorn, also there was a skunk, a wild boar, assorted birds incl hawks and turkey vultures. There are critters we haven’t seen but know are there, snakes( rattlers and copperheads), burrowing critters like gophers, coyotes and many many more. Hope your cat is brave. :eek:

$2.99, I have a photo at home that is the graphic (not in the lurid sense, get your mind outta the gutter) definition of blurf. I’ll post it tonight so you understand.
For the record, the whole concept of blurf is from a vaguely remembered Bloom County strip showing Opus in a pose similar to the threatened photo, and uttering the catchphrase. I’ve been searching my compendia of BCty strips looking for the frame going on 5 years now. :rolleyes:

Severe thunderstrom watch has been issued along with flood warnings. 2-4 inches of rain is expected in the next 36 hours. All rivers are expected to flood. This is why I am thankful my townhouse does not have a basement. I may need an ark to get to irk tomorrow.

I woke up at 1 AM in pain, took some more anti-pain pills and benadryl and couldn’t get back to sleep until 3:30, so now I’m groggy and itchy. (Being allergic to pain meds is no fun)
Whew! All ground cover planted and well-watered. A dozen dianthus planted and well-watered. Four or five hostas transplanted. Two loads of branches hauled to the back end of the yard. One load of firewood hauled from the front to the back. Leaves in the front mulched and what little grass there is mowed. I’m showered and lunching.
I’m pleased with what I got done, but I’s pooped! That was some serious labor.
I think lunch dessert will be a coupla tylenol…
So blurfy. I got no writing done yesterday. Instead I read comics. I’m going to have to write a ton this weekend to catch up.

Our patio tables are here! Woohoo! The glider is supposed to come tomorrow. Not sure when the chairs will show up at Home Depot - probably this weekend. Now, just so’s the weather stays pleasant a while so we can enjoy our new deck furniture.

Here I thought that blurf was the sound that you make when you’re not awake enough, yet, to talk. Sometimes the blurf lingers.
Tomato soup with grated sharp cheddar in it for breakfast. Seems to be doing the job. Hoping to take the afternoon off. I’ll let you know if I manage it.
Patio tables are assembled and sitting in the corner of the family room looking all table-y. **FCD **will get to put the glider together since it’ll come tomorrow and I won’t be here. Unless he leaves it for when I return…
I’ve got the sprinkler set up to get a wide swath of the lawn as well as my newly-planted cherry tree. I’ll move it in an hour or so to get another swath. And it looks like I’ll need to buy at least 1, maybe 2, hydrangeas. I have lost one and possibly 2 that I planted last year. Bummer.
And I just sent an email to Royal Caribbean asking when I’ll get my $500 deposit back since I’ve canceled our October cruise. I was given a cancellation number, but no further word as to what happens next - not even a form email. So here’s hoping someone responds. I even went for pity and told them I just lost my job - technically, I’m still an employee, but until there’s something for me to do, I don’t get paid, so in effect, I lost my job. Anyway, it’s my $500 and I want it credited back to my VISA, dammit!!! :mad:
