I love this. Makes me feel kind of stupid, though. I have been playing for 15 minutes and I have only guessed 27. I know I am missing some obvious ones but I will keep at it.
I got to 41 out of 50 and there I am stuck. The one with the butterflies is driving me crazy, as are the woman with the barrel, the man with the lamp, the woman with the two kids, and the grim reaper inside the fence.
Anybody?
The barrel one I got just by guessing things that could fit with that picture, though I don’t think I’ve actually heard of the movie. And the man with the lamp was a movie that I figured ought to be there somewhere, and clicked possibilities until I found it. Would you like a hint for either? I can’t help you with the butterflies, the two kids, or the reaper, though.
So far, I’m up to 30, and there are some that I’m probably just not going to get, period. I’m not exactly an expert on movies.

OK, for the barrel,The key is the “H2O” on the barrel. So obviously “water” is part of the answer. Just try sticking adjectives on that.And for the man with the lamp, well, I’ll say that It’s a Stephen KingThere are 20 I haven’t gotten, but the two that’re bugging me the most (other than those stinking butterflies) are the dress that Green is wearing, and the big beetle in the test tube.

For the beetle:
it’s not a test tube, it’s a drinking glass… and look what’s spilled out of it.
I guess I might as well post that I’m also stumped by the two men on the steps (the steps themselves are another movie, you know) and the dark doorway in the bottom right corner.

I came across this M&M promotion/movie game a few days ago and unexpectedly got hooked. I managed to get 47 of them before I went to another web page that had a thread discussing this game and got the last three.
Aha! I got the one with the butterflies! It’s a fairly recent movie (past few years), and it does have “butterfly” in the title. I’m now up to 34.
Chef, you said you had 41, and listed 7 that weren’t in that tally. What are the other two you don’t have, or have you even found the clues for them yet?
And a sort of half-clue for the grim reaper one (half-clue since I don’t know it yet, either): The round fenced-in area he’s in is significant, since the clue area includes the whole area, not just the figure of the reaper himself. Also, the men on the stairs look to be relatively wealthy, which might be significant, and the one of the two kids with the mother looks rather monkeyish.
Got all fifty, but it took all evening.

Mrs. WeHaveCookies and I worked on it together all evening, but we had to cheat too. We didn’t look for answers posted untill the bitter end though, with about 6 left. The technique we used to “half cheat” 
was to pull up the wikipedia list of horror films to inspire us towards the titles that we weren’t familiar with.
That being said, there were various titles that were not on the wikipedia list and I would not classify as horror, or even suspense, but that’s just me.
I very much enjoyed it, and found myself yelling at the computer like a kid again because the quality of some of the hints was lacking compared to others.
“Hey! No fair! That so does not look like a ^$@#&*!”
“I only cheated because you cheated! raspberry”

Jeez, I feel dumb. Only got 8 out of 50 in a quick once-over. I guess I don’t know my horror/scary movies well enough. Would anyone be so kind as to spoiler-box as many clues and answers as they can?
