A Tad Late, but Still the MMP....

Scruffy will get scruffier. We had to clear away all the mats to give her a clean start. The groomer saved the matted mess she shaved off - it was almost impossible to tear it apart. We’ll let her grow out and decide which length we’ll maintain.

It’s hard to tell from the pics, but she now looks kinda like a weiner dog.

so, has anyone tried my pics as jigsaw puzzles?

It’s not the grade so much, FCM – heck, Papa Tigs has had a cubicle or closet all of his career anyway; his best office was a closet directly behind not one, not two, but three small bathrooms – but the fact that he was completely ignored when he said he needed a locking door since he’s now in charge of a whole pile of laptop computers. And, as it turns out, he is just getting a cubicle – but it’s in a space behind a door with a lock, and he’s sharing it with a few HR people who finally figured out that it might help to open a satellite office in the main hospital. I’m actually quite proud of him for pulling it off; they’re currently running 60 days behind on space assignment requests, but he figured out a way to game the system. He’s good that way.

Going to the gym is good and all, but now I just want to go to sleep. And I’ve gotten nearly no work done today; I have a file that’s 385 minutes long, and thus far I’ve done 67. Not what I call productive.

rosie, I did check out your pictures on JigZone. It’s fun to be the one that sets the time. Since I’m really slow at puzzles, I never beat the average. Now someone else can come along and blow my time out of the water.

Which one did you do?

I did the pinwheel (40 birds), neon scribble (6 classic) and bubble pup (20 classic).

I did bubble pup, still below average. Another one of those days. I found out that pool hours can be given or taken away at a whim. I found out that they won’t tell you when the whim changes. Maggie has decided to pluck her self bald, the vet gave her a cortisone shot, and I gave her an oatmeal bath. I hope it works. I had a weird dream, I had a goatee and an army of cyborg lemurs, and was ruler of the world. :dubious:

I did the pinwheel - 100 classic.

SNOPTTH!

Great Og. Kill be. Kill be dow. Poke be with a rusty cheese dife add be dud with it.

Just 24 hours ago I could just barely feel it coming on – it was more a suspicion than a certainty. (Okay, I just didn’t want to admit to myself that I was catching it. “It’s just a physiological anomaly” I told myself. Ha!) Now I feel like I’ve been buffed into the ice by a really angry Zamboni.

Okay. Enough pissing and moaning. I’m going to bed. To sleep, perchance to dream of being able to breathe through by doze again.

ROFLMAOSCOK!!!
But really, I hope you feel better soon and in spite of research showing ColdEeze and others do nothing - I swear they work - so start sucking those zinc & C tabs now - you should be all better by Monday - Tuesday at the latest.

I, for one, welc. . . oh, never mind.

Aw, Scruffy is a little cutie. She probably felt 100% better after that grooming.

The weekend promises to be busy. Tomorrow the boys(hubby and son) are going paintballing. But before that, they’re taking the Christmas lights down (finally!), and getting their ears lowered. After paintballing, hubby and I are going out to din-din with some friends. The reason the lights haven’t come down sooner is that the weather just hasn’t allowed it. Climbing on an icy roof is not conducive to unbroken limbs or heads.

Sunday, hubby and the son are supposed to help my mom get her second downed apple tree all cut up and cleaned up in the yard. The tree is big. It was around 135 years old.

While the boys are out doing their thing, I’ll putz around the house and try and get some things done.

Off to cruise the Dope for a short while.

Up early, even by Staturday standards. Today is fire school, and I get to play with the aerial truck…

I’ve been up almost an hour. I was having a really weird dream about being in the Pentagon, unable to find my way out. I was trying to find my way to the Smithsonan Metro station so I could get home in time to go to the theater with my husband. Yes, I know there’s a Metro station in the Pentagon. But I also know the Pentagon doesn’t have corridors around the outside perimeter with huge plate glass windows, nor do they have a giant shredder with bleachers so an audience can watch stuff being shredded…

I managed to find my way outside, only to discover I was in sweats and slippers, and when I walked, I walked right out of my slippers. So I went back inside, only this time, it was a wing of the White House where VIPs can spend the night. I was walking thru all of these fancy-pants suites noticing how messy all of the guests were. And I kept looking at my watch, knowing there was no way I could meet up with **FCD ** in time. Then I woke up with a full bladder and a cat cuddled up to my feet.

I tried to go back to bed, but once I’m up, that’s pretty much it. So the dogs have been walked and fed, and Brandy walked by all ticked off at the world, ignoring me. So begins my day. We’re going to FINALLY build the closet in the guest room. Once we’re both awake and showered, we start bringing 2X4s up to be cut to size. It should be done, minus mud, in a few hours. But first, I need to take down the stoopit border - I meant to do that yesterday.

Other exciting weekend plans include laundry and grocery shopping. I don’t have to vacuum because I did that yesterday. I should probably empty the dishwasher too. It’s so much fun to be me!

Rosie, I did bubble pup! Your pics are cute. I’ll probably do more later, since I have become addicted to Jigzone.

Snakes played an away game last night, which they won 6-3. My internet connection decided to go out in the middle of the third period. Have I mentioned lately that I hate Knology with the fire of a thousand burning suns?

I hate being up this early, but cat feeding had to be done at 6am. Spoiled beasties.

I think I am going back to bed.

Rosie I’ll do some of your puzzles today. I was disappointed to see I won’t get to rearrange your face any.

Ok folks… we have a [del]victim[/del] volunteer for Monday…

All in favor of Rosie being our hostess with the mostess say “Aye”

AYE!!!

All those opposed (Oh get real!) say “Nay”

::CRICKETS::

The “Ayes” have it. Rosie shall regale us with fanciful tales come Monday.

Good morning! Another exciting day at work. I am doing a load of laundry before hand. Maggie and Lucretia have been walked and watered. More winter weather is expected tomorrow. ::sigh::

Mr. Lissar got me a kitten in my dream. I just told him that, and he said “How nice”, and went back to sleep. No offers of kittens. Actually, in the dream I was a little appalled by the thought of three cats in our place.

I saw one of these in a book at work, and didn’t believe. I still don’t believe.Someone has just glued stilts on a rabbit.

Anyway, I’m up, although Mr. Lissar isn’t. He woke up at 5 to take cough suppressants.

I think I’m supposed to go ring-shopping with QD today. She hasn’t said yes yet. Is she allowed to ring-shop if she hasn’t said yes?

Papa Tigs apparently woke up at 2:30 unable to breathe, so he went and sat at his desk (which is in the living room) for a while to clear out. About 3:00, he was 3/4 asleep, when Isaac, whose “bed” is the sofa, suddenly leapt to his feet from a sound sleep at full alert – barking furiously, hair standing on end. And then Rusty started racing around in circles trying to figure out what was going on. As far as we can tell, it was a bad dream. (Maybe he was dreaming about cyborg lemurs?) But he scared the crap out of Papa Tigs, needless to say. I was blissfully asleep in the bedroom at the back of the house and heard nothing.

Other than that, I got nuthin’ this morning. No weird dreams, no plans except puttering, nuthin’. I like it that way.

Look, another tribble.

Stop it with the evil laugh already, rosie. You knew that we would get stuck there again, didn’t you? Those were fun, although the neon scribble is evil. I was wimpy and did it as a 20-piece classic.

I woke up a couple of times in the middle of the night, but was happy to be able to fall asleep again right away. So I got a decent amount of sleep. Yay!

No weird dreams, I don’t think. But speaking of dreams, I’m pretty sure the cyborg lemurs weren’t a dream; they were in a parallel universe.

Just had a couple of Jehovah’s Witness ladies knock at my front door. I politely told them I wasn’t interested and shut the door again. But I hate it when people come to the door to sell me stuff. Makes me grumpy.

Perhaps QD believes that shopping for rings will help her make a decision? Or it’s part of her secret plan to say yes. You’ve told her that her reliable internet advisory board says to say yes, right? Also, you are quite talented at finding scary animals.

Off to throw laundry in the washer and see if I’m awake enough to head for work for a bit.
