We finally go tour luggage back today when we landed on Sunday and it wasn’t with us. The bags look like they have been through a war zone. Brand new suitcases that were still pristine when we dropped them off at the airport have lost wheels, broken handles, missing zips etc and are trashed. Goodness knows what BA did to them!

It’s Thursday, and one more day after today until the weekend. It’s going to be pretty chilly here this weekend, so I may be baking and cooking. Thinking of making a spinach lasagna even. Happy weekend to those who start the weekend tonight, btw. I wish!
You know I only had two days of work (irk?) this week. I had Monday off. But I was off before that since before Christmas, and it is damn hard to get back into the swing of things. On top of that it is coooooold up here in the northeast so I do NOT want to leave my warm and fuzzy blankets. Oh, to be independently wealthy…

The cruise we went on two years ago sold out six months before sailing. Now, the same time of year and roughly the same pricing, and there are entire categories of cabins still available for it next month.
I’d love to be able to help them sell one more cabin, but DH being out of work last month, plus the assorted co-pays has put a nearly cruise-sized hole in the checkbook.
Off to work I go. At least the computer is working fine with its new hard drive.

So we came back from vacation (a day late due to snow on I5…) and find the garbage disposal is leaking and the toilet in the Master Bath is leaking from the base. I remembered I had re-upped the Home Warrenty last April after almost not doing it. Man was that the best $350 I spent. Plumber came out and found the toilet was cracked (must have been since I moved in as it has always leaked from the bottom but the other plumbers jsut replaced the wax ring). New garbage disposal fitted, leaks cleaned up and new ‘like for like’ expensive loo instead of builders standard as I paid for the upgrade on the policy. All told about $1000 worth of labour and parts for the pricely sum of $55. New loo will be fitted today.
Back to the grindstone…this first week is haaaaaard

I would try that, LiLi, except I don’t like citric-y things. And my goal for 2011 (I don’t do resolutions.) is to do more of what I want, rather than trying so hard to please everyone else all the time. So someone else will have to take up the clementine cake challenge. I’ll forward it to my baking friend and let you know if she tries it.
