Bingo. If Flynn wasn’t giving Mueller some good stuff on other major players, Mueller would be preparing to charge Flynn with something a lot more heavyweight than this fairly minor charge.
I can only think of three people besides the Orange Abomination himself that Flynn might have goods on that would have real value to Mueller. Jared, Donald Jr., and Mike Pence.
The value of Jared and Junior is pretty obvious. I bring up Pence because so far, Pence has managed to play the “sure, I was officially in charge of the transition, but that doesn’t mean I knew anything about it” card to perfection. Flynn may know otherwise.
It’s one count of making a false statement to the FBI, which would lead me to believe that there’s some wheeling and dealing going on. A guaranteed conviction of something, with the possibility of more to come if Flynn doesn’t cooperate.
